Another year had come around, and Daniel did not know where all the time was heading to. With his daughter turning one this month, Daniel wished time would just slow down a little. In ten years, she would be at the castle... where would that leave him? What would he be doing?
He shook all the thoughts of Emélie growing up from his head.
Theo would be here first, and that... that was even more terrifying than the thought of Emélie growing up. Both his children needed to just... stop growing. Stay young forever.
But, today was about the other kids in Daniel's life. The kids of Hogwarts, young and old. Their first day of term was upon them, and Daniel sat at the table of the Great Hall waiting for the ceremony to begin. To see who would be joining the school this year, and which faces were coming back. He'd written a number of recommendations for the students who had left, and this year, he was sure there were going to be more who needed a good word in their favour.
Checking his watch, Daniel noted that the older students would be here any moment, and readied himself to welcome the few that looked his way.
OOC: Please feel free to RP through the feast (you don't have to wait for Daniel to open the feast if you get to that point before me). Also, for any first years, please don't hesitate to RP the sorting ceremony!
