Roleplay Example:
Scarlett couldn't help but feel slightly nervous about her class. She knew that she knew what she was talking about- she put a lot of time into remaining fit, and she absolutely loved flying and quidditch, but she wasn't entirely sure how she might approach teaching. She had wanted to incorporate more fitness into her classes as well as flying skills, so she had made sure to send notice for the students to wear comfortable clothes that would allow movement.
She walked to the quidditch pitch, where she supposed would be the best place to learn, resolving along the way that the only way to learn would involve the kids actually doing it. It would be in a methodical way, of course.
Explain- the lesson, the moves, body positioning.
Example- or demonstration, where she herself, or perhaps a student with apt abilities could perform the movement.
And finally, involvement- where the kids could give it a try, and she could help out when possible.
One by one, each of the students arrived, and she greeted them with a smile. When she was certain that everyone had turned up, she decided to start.
"Right," she said "I'm Miss Waters, and I'm your new flying instructor," she addressed the class. She spoke concisely, always straight to the point.
"First things first, we're going to be doing some warm-ups. So we'll start with some laps around the field." she said- hearing a few groans come from the class, she assumed from those less athletically inclined.
"Come on," she encouraged "If you get tired, speed walk, and then start runningagain when you're ready. Start with three laps?" She encouraged and started to run. The class, some enthusiastically, some reluctantly, followed. She wasn't one to stand back and watch, she'd be leading by example.
"Trust me," she called back "We'll get flying as soon as we're done,".
