Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker Empty
PostSubject: Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker   Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker EmptyMon Apr 17, 2017 7:07 pm

The Great Hall begins to empty as the students trickle out from breakfast. Eventually, the Hall is bare of any students except for you, and as you stand from your seat to leave your attention is pulled away from the treasure hunt by something unusual out of the corner of your eye. At the front, where the Professors usually sit, is a pedestal. It’s not that tall, perhaps only half your height, and is pure white. You can see intricate designs of leaves carved around it.

On top of the pedestal is a chest. You take a few steps closer to investigate. It’s not too large but you know that with magic, it could hold far more than meets the eye. It is a bit shabby and old looking, as if it's gone unopened for many years, a layer of dust and what seems to be cobwebs covering it. There are hints of water damage; the lock is tight and made of a strong metal that has some traces of rust on it, and there is moss growing on the side of the chest.

What do you do?

a) Approach and investigate the chest
b) Open the chest with Alohomora
c) Ignore the chest and leave the Great Hall

Hazel did finish her breakfast like rest of students had but something caught her eye so she wanted to check it out. She walked over the pedestal and looked at that chest what she saw there. Hufflepuff girl wasn't sure what she should do with the chest. She looked around here but didn't see there anyone really. Since girl didn't trust her magic abilities, well spells that much then she just sighed. She wanted to know what was in it for sure but she knows she can mess up her spells very badly for sure.

So she walked closer to the chest and took a deep breath. She wondered what she should do. She decided to investigate the chest instead of opening it. It seemed to be very old one, she could tell that for sure. She just wasn't sure how to open it. She couldn't even remember the opening spell there on spot. She just can be a bit of useless when it comes to magic at times. So she tried to find some other way how to open awhile investigating the chest.

a) Approach and investigate the chest

You decide to take the safe route and investigate the chest. Approaching it, you become aware the lock isn’t as sturdy as it first appeared and is almost rusted through. Now right in front of it, you realise that the chest has begun to shake a little, as though there’s something inside. Suddenly, the top bursts open and there are squeaks that fill the empty hall. There is a blur of blue as something emerges from the chest and flies over your head.

The door to the great hall slams shut and you turn to find that it’s being guarded by six creatures. They are eight inches high and are electric blue. They have long pointed ears and long arms, three fingers on each hand. You recognise them as Cornish Pixies.

They start chattering to each other, loud, shrill noises that hurts your ears. You notice one of them is holding a piece of paper -- that must be the clue! Gripping your wand tightly, you prepare to fight them.

a) Defeat the pixies in order to receive the clue. End your post with picking up the clue.

Hazel was surprised when she noticed that the lock didn't really hold the chest together. It was way too rusty for it. She was even more surprised when chest began to shake there. She took few steps back from the chest since she was a bit of scared what is happening.

She jumped a bit when suddenly Great Hall door went shut. She looked towards the door few seconds and to these blue creatures in front of her. Few seconds of examing them Hazel figured out that these six creatures who were only eight inches long and electric blue were Cornish Pixies. She didn't really like the noise what they did. It was too loud.

She took out her wand from her pocket and looked at the creatures. Awhile trying to cover at least one of her ears with a free hand. Another hand where wand was pointed towards the pixies. She remembers that Immobulus will help so she did cast that towards pixies. So she did freeze the pixies there now. At least they were quite now.

Awhile examine the pixies she had noticed that one of them was even holding a clue so she used her wand to bring the clue to herself. She didn't wanna go near them for sure. So she now wondered what was on the clue what she was holding in her hands.

Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker Empty
PostSubject: Re: Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker   Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker EmptyThu Apr 27, 2017 1:07 pm

The clue reads:

Brewing potions isn’t easy unless you have all the ingredients and the skill. Luckily, three have already been made for you. Find them where you first learnt how to use your cauldron. Choose wisely and your next clue will be revealed.

Quickly, you make your way down to the dungeons, bypassing empty classrooms until you reach the Potions Classroom. Stepping inside, you find, as the note had said, three small glasses on the table. You approach them.

The first contains liquid that is clear and has no special scent, instead appearing to be water. Upon closer examination, you realise that it’s slightly thicker than normal water, but other than that there’s nothing to give away what it could be.

The second glass has a light gold liquid inside, reminding you of the sky at sunset. It’s got swirls of orange inside, and smells faintly of carrots, but other than that has no scent. It’s thick, like medicine, but doesn’t look unpleasant.

The last glass contains a beautiful dark blue liquid that sparkles in the light. There appears to be bits and pieces of glitter inside it as it refracts the light. It smells familiar, but you can’t quite place it. It makes you feel safe and relaxed.

You are now faced with a choice.

Which potion do you drink?

a) The clear, almost water-like liquid
b) The bright golden liquid
c) The dark blue, sparkly liquid

Hazel reads the clue in her hands and thinks few seconds before she began to walk towards the dungeons where the Potions classroom is located. She was actually smarter as she seemed to be most of the time. She knew where things were for sure. She smiled for few seconds for awhile. She actually found this treasure hunt interesting.

The Hufflepuff walked in the classroom after few minutes of walking and looked the table where three bottles were. She couldn't tell what they were when she had looked at them. Potions have never really been her strongest subject for sure. She sighed there. They all seemed so different ones but same time also so familiar for some reasons.

So Hazel did decide there for awhile which one she should take. She knew whatever she takes will decide what will be her next step in this treasure hunt. She closed her eyes and decided to choose it like this. Pointing her finger towards random potions and she did it. When she opened her eyes she noticed that her finger was pointing towards the first one. She sighed and took the potion. She drunk it at sighed. She had no idea what will happen now.

You decide that the first one would be best and pick it up. There’s no special taste to it, but almost as soon as you swallow, you feel a chuckle building up in the pit of your stomach, although there’s nothing really funny going on. The chuckle escapes, quickly followed by another. Soon enough, you find yourself giggling at absolutely nothing. In a few moments, your giggles turn to outright laughter, and you quickly sit down.

By the twelve minute mark, you start to panic a little as the laughter keeps pouring out of you. It’s getting harder to breathe, but you can’t control it, as though someone is tickling you from the inside. Eventually, a further ten minutes later, the feeling starts to subside. You continue to giggle and titter for a while more as the potion -- a stronger version of giggle water, you realise -- wears off.

Finally, half an hour after you first consumed it, the effects are fully gone and you catch your breath, resting for a while more. When you have strength enough to stand, you approach the table again. You have two options remaining.

Which do you drink?

a) The bright golden liquid
b) The dark blue, sparkly liquid

After she had consumed the liquid few chuckles began to build up in her stomach. She had no idea what was going on really. She was so confused. She began to chuckle there even more soon. There wasn't really nothing funny for sure. So she figured it was because of this potion.

Soon she was giggling there very much and this wasn't like her for sure. So she was now really sure it was because of this potion. Soon after all this giggling for awhile she began even laugh there. When that happened she sat down quickly and laughed there now for awhile.

Soon the laughing was so hard that she barely even could breathe. She had the feeling like someone is tickling her from the inside. She was already almost in panic there when suddenly the symptoms began to die down slowly. This was for sure weird feeling and she is sure she won't touch this potion ever again. She didn't want to go through this again.

She sighed and figured it was the wrong one and choosing randomly isn't a good idea. So she looked at the last two remaining potions there. "Well, this was weird," she said there to herself and sighed.

She thought there now for awhile until she did choose the first one, which used to be earlier the middle one. She hopes it's right one this time. She doesn't wanna go through another weird thing for sure there now.

a) The bright golden liquid

8a.
The golden liquid seems to be a wise choice and you down it. It’s not unpleasant, tasting only slightly of carrots, but it’s thick and hard to swallow. For a while, nothing happens and you wonder if you’ve wasted your time -- but then, slowly, your start to see a tint of gold around your vision. You blink a few times, trying to clear it, but it only gets worse until all you can see is a film of gold.

Abruptly, the film clears, and as you look around, you realise you can see something written on the wall that wasn’t there before. Written in gold letters, it says:

Make your way to Greenhouse Two to find the next clue. Remember to watch your step, but don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith!

You leave the potions behind and make your way outside to the Greenhouses, finding Greenhouse Two easily enough. Opening the door, you find it’s pitch black. You take a while to adjust, but once you do, you realise that in front of you is a pit. Remembering the instructions of the clue, you take the jump and find yourself being grabbed by a plant! It twists itself around you and starts to squeeze.

You realise that you can’t reach your wand.

What do you do?

a) Struggle
b) Don’t struggle

PostSubject: Re: Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker   Treasure Hunt - Hazel Parker EmptyFri Apr 28, 2017 10:28 am

Hazel smiled when this liquid didn't seem to taste so bad but then again it wasn't so easy to shallow down but at the end she did it. She really hoped she had chosen this time right one. She didn't really wanna go through something strange again like those giggles. At first, Haz keeps thinking that she made the wrong choice again since nothing didn't happen and she is ready to choose the last one there.

But suddenly there is tint gold vision in your eyes and she tries to even blink few times so it would go away but it doesn't for a while until the film stops. Then some gold letters seem to appear in front of her eyes there on the wall. She reads what it says and sighs.

The first part was something she did understand. The part where she needs to go but what was the other part about she isn't really sure. She walked then towards Greenhouse two. She soon was there and she opened the door and walked in. She couldn't see there anything for awhile for sure. It was so dark in there. She tried to adjust her eyes and when she finally could see something then she saw there some kind of pit.

She remembers what another part of clue said but she takes a jump but still too late and she is grabbed by plant now. This wasn't for sure how she would have spent her free time for sure. The plant did even twist around her and began to squeeze her there now even.

Hazel remembered something from the Herbology lesson that you should struggle when it happens. So she tried to stay there still so long as the plant will drop her and she can keep playing this weird treasure hunt or whatever she was trying to do right now. Since she seemed to get clues then it did remind to her treasure hunt for sure.

b) Don’t struggle
