At a glance: Andrei is your quintessential family man. Having been happily married for going on twenty years he has his life pretty well figured out. Or, well, he did up until he lost his job as one of London's preeminent museum curators. Turning back to the world of magic he accepted a professorship at Hogwarts to teach the study of ancient runes for which his life experience has made him uniquely qualified. Wait, so who exactly is he?
Fair question. Andrei is, at his core, a disillusioned academic. He has a tendency to become too dedicated to his work and finds it off-putting when his colleagues do not do the same. While he is a kind man his experiences have made him cynical leading him to often flex his fluency in dry sarcasm.

Lastly, it is important to note that all his work he does is for his family, or at least that is what he tells himself anyway. Whenever he starts at something he aims to be the very best as a result of his well-hidden ambition to do something of note with his life. What 'of note' means? Well, Andrei couldn't tell you himself; he'll know when he gets there or rather he hopes he will.

Howdy Jake,
I've heard only good things.

In reading over Jake's profile, I can see him and Andrei getting along rather well. Here's a thread idea: seeing as Hogwarts is finishing up for the year and Andrei will start teaching next term it would make sense that he visits the school to get a lay of the land and see where he will be teaching in the coming months. So, maybe, the two bump into each other with Andrei hopelessly lost and we can go from there. Fair warning: Andrei might fanboy a bit as he is quite the fan of all things Quidditch.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, I'm pretty open to anything.

As for Caspar, I'd love to thread with him as well, but I don't want to rush things just yet. Gotta pace myself and get a feel for the site, ya know?

Hi! If you're looking for friends/colleagues, I think my character Grayson (he's the librarian) would get along well with Andrei. They seem to have some similar interests and personality traits.

Yeah, just got done reading Grayson's profile, I can see him and Andrei hitting it off. Here's a thought: Andrei won't be spending a lot of time Hogwarts during the summer what if the two bump into each other at Flourish and Blotts? Andrei needs to find a textbook for his class and we could go from there. If that doesn't fly then oh well; I'm open to whatever really, so hit me with your thoughts.
