Maybe Winter time can be fun again (Mercy) Empty
PostSubject: Maybe Winter time can be fun again (Mercy)   Maybe Winter time can be fun again (Mercy) EmptyMon Oct 09, 2017 1:19 am

Sasha needed some fresh air and this was the reason why she had come outside today. There wasn't so warm anymore so she was dressed in some winter clothes she had brought with her. Also, she wanted to get away from the common room since there so many talked about their great Christmas plans. Just Sasha has no plans for Christmas really. She never does. She just improvises every year what she does. Her parents aren't around and she is mostly alone since her friends are busy with their families. She lately even sends her nanny to go home spend time with her family.

So she tried not think about Christmas so much as she could. She walked around the grounds and tried to clear her mind. Also tried to find something to do. There was winter outside and she could feel how the weather was cold already. She has never really been a fan of the cold weather. She someone who likes warm more. She just kept walking and didn't even bother to talk with anyone right now. She wasn't really around Christmas much in the mood to do anything really. She just needed some peace and quiet.

Then again outside so many people were playing with snow and having fun. She used to be like this too when she was bit younger. Now she wasn't really that much and it has become a problem. She really wants to changes her Christmas time but she no idea how. She can't just force her parents to spend time with her, so she could feel for once really happy around Christmas.

She stopped walking and looked at those kids who played there snow fight probably. It seemed fun for sure, she could join in but she isn't sure if it's such good idea.

OOC: I hope this works.

OoC: It's perfect, don't worry Smile

Mercy tromped through the fresh snow covering the castle grounds, giggling, and scrambling as fast as she could away from a second year boy with an armful of snow. Several students from mostly lower years had devolved into an impromptu, inter-house snowball fight about twenty minutes before, and Mercy, being Mercy, immediately wanted in on the action. Unsure of what the teams were, or if there even were teams, she simply started chucking snowballs at everyone within range, and quickly made a few enemies.

One of whom was fast on her tail, and gaining quickly. He had the advantage of longer legs. She glanced back over her shoulder at her pursuer, and stumbled a little, crashing hard into a person she hadn't seen, and toppling into the snow.

"Sorry!" She exclaimed, jumping back to her feet and brushing herself off. "Are you o-"

She cut herself off with a shriek as her assailant finally caught up, dumping a load of snow on her head. "Hey!" she shouted, though she was laughing. The freezing snow trickled down her spine under her robes and she shivered, but reflexively scooped up a pile of snow herself before the boy had a chance to get too far away. She smashed it against his fleeing back, and he cackled as he ran.

Mercy turned back to the girl she'd accidentally tackled. She was an older student, and from a different house--Mercy didn't recognize her. "Sorry about that," she continued. "You're not hurt, are you?"

Sasha was in her own world about thinking of her past when everything was so much better. So she didn't even notice that some kids had come near her to play the snow fight. She kind of did regret now being so close where they played it.

She was suddenly tackled by someone and it wasn't really nice feeling really. She was even shocked about it. She figured this was just accident so she wasn't really mad at the girl for sure. She could tell she was younger than her.

"I'm okay. Doesn't seem like I'm hurt," she said with a small smile on her face. "Anyways are you okay?" she asked there now. She had seen what happened to her. She wasn't sure what she should do or say and it was time for the girl. "I can help to get back to that boy if you want. I haven't played snow fight for awhile," she decided to say there even.

Sasha really wanted to try to play snow fight. It really did seem like fun. Having fun was a good idea actually for her. Maybe then she could be really happy again and not just pretend to be fun. At least for few hours, she can have fun.

Mercy was glad to hear that she hadn't hurt the older girl, who seemed like she'd just been minding her own business. She nodded emphatically when asked if she was okay.

"I'm fine! I don't mind falling in the snow, it's all part of the game."

At the suggestion of helping her get back at the boy, Mercy broke into a mischievous grin, a playful gleam in her eye. "Would you? That would be great! We can be a team! Come on," she giggled excitedly, grabbing the older girl's hand and tugging her along as she ran around the corner of the castle and hid behind the wall, out of sight of the rest of the participants of the snowball fight.

"Are you better at throwing, or running? I think you might be faster than me, since you've got longer legs. Anyway, he ran that way," she pointed around the side of the castle, "And I think he might have some allies over there. What's our plan of attack? We should probably stock up on ammunition...ooh, we could build a fort!"

The adrenaline rush from the snowball fight made the already energetic girl babble animatedly, her cheeks flushed with the cold, and her hair a wild mess plastered to her forehead. She looked up at her new teammate with bright eyes and an even brighter grin. "I'm Mercy, by the way. What's your name?"

Sasha was glad that the girl in front of her wasn't any way hurt. She smiled at her. She actually likes this girl there. She wasn't sure why really. Maybe because she kind of reminded herself in her age.

She was bit surprised when she was tugged by her hand towards the castle corner. She just giggled there how many ideas this girl had in her mind now there. "Yes, I'm willing to help you. Don't have really anything better to do," she said with a smile.

"I used to have good aim and well never had problems with running away," she answered to her first questions. "Yes, we need ammunition for sure. Oh building fort be fun but we should start like now if we wanna finish it before they realise where we are," she said there with a smile on her face. It was so much fun to help this girl out.

"I'm Sasha," she said her name there now. "So let's began to build the fort and same time we can maybe make just in case some ammunition too, so we can use it when needed," she suggested there now something.

"Oh, good!" Mercy said in response to the older girl's skills. She nodded eagerly in agreement with the girl's statement about starting immediately, and was already bending down to gather some snow when she introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you, Sasha! Oh, yeah, that's a good plan. You're smart! I'm glad you're on my team."

She'd begun pushing some snow into a pile, creating a sort of barricade, using the wall of the castle as the fourth wall. She packed the snow tightly together, trying to build it up as high as she could, as fast as she could.

"Can you make some snowballs? I've got this," she said over her shoulder. She was sure she could build the fort all by herself while Sasha made ammo. In her mind, it was an easy task. She'd make the best fort ever--she had a clear picture of it in her mind. The walls would be three or four feet high, and go all around them, with enough storage space to keep all of their snowballs. Yeah, she could do that easily, she thought with confidence.

Sasha smiled towards her new found friend probably. She really was glad to meet someone new actually who managed to lift her spirits a bit at least. She knew she would like to keep being friends even after this, even if they have few years apart but the girl doesn't care.

"Yeah I can be smart at times, I'm glad to me in your team too," she said with a smile. She really was glad she could help someone out and the same time has some fun herself too.

"Okay sure," she said and watched for few seconds what Mercy did there now. Then she began to make snowballs since they will need these for their ammo bit later. Same time looked what Mercy did there.

"Anyways what year you are?" she asked there a question now. She really wanted to know that one. "Oh and I know ur, not Hufflepuff, so which house you are in?" she asked also that too. She tried to get to know her teammate in this snow right now. She just figured they should know each others bit better.

Mercy had set off with vigor, though she was slowly becoming conscious of her hands starting to go numb beneath her gloves, which were soaked and freezing. She ignored it, and set about building a perimeter for their fort, a small pile of snow that stretched from one point on the wall, curved around in a semicircle, and ended up against another point on the same wall, about seven feet from where it started.

"I'm a first year," she said proudly, "and a Gryffindor. Are you a Hufflepuff?" She paused for a second to regard the older girl with a smile. "My mam was a Hufflepuff. What year are you in?"

She glanced behind her as she heard some shouts from around the corner--some students taking part in the snowball fight seemed to be coming closer. She hurriedly got back to work, packing more snow on top of the border she'd created to build the walls higher. The work was going a lot slower than she'd expected it to be. Most of the wall was only a foot high or less, and the meter long section she was working on now reached a little over her knee. She scooped up large armfuls of snow, pushing it together as fast as she could before the fight reached them.

Sasha was actually glad that she was wearing gloves actually all her fingers would be already freezing really from making those snowballs. Even yeah her gloves weren't so warm ones too. At least it was something. The girl didn't really expect to have snow fight there.

"Oh nice," she said with a small smile. "Yes I'm Hufflepuff and I'm in the fifth year," she said about herself there now. She figured she should say her year in same sentences too.

She heard those voices near them. Sasha had made there already some of the snowballs they could use there for a fight when needed. "You need some help there?" she asked and looked for Mercy seconds but then went to back to making snowballs. She decided to ask before she rushes for the help. There were people who didn't like that they are helped when they are doing something. So asking before was a better idea.

"Nice!" Mercy replied. It didn't matter much to her what year her new friend was in--she liked to think she could be friends with anyone, no matter what age or house. Oftentimes she considered grown-ups to be just as much her friends as kids her own age. As long as they were nice, she didn't see why it made a difference.

At the offer of help, she reflexively shook her head. "No, I've got this," she assured Sasha. She was not in the habit if asking for help--especially when she'd already committed to doing it herself. She could do this, she was sure of it. Besides, Sasha had an important job to do. Having snowballs would probably be more crucial during the fight than having a fort.

Mercy shook out her hands, stretching her fingers to try and force some feeling back into them, before plunging them back into the snow. She was making good progress, she decided. Her first little section was almost waist-high now, so she got to work on the next bit, slowly working her way around. The fight sounded a little more distant now, so perhaps they had some time after all.
