Wand type: English Oak, Pink Coral from Capri, 10 inches, unyielding.
Pink Coral Properties: Harvested from the oceans surrounding Capri, island wandmakers select only the best corals. The waters they come from are typically rough, meaning that it is untouched by human divers or snorkelers. It is rumoured that it once played host to selkies and sirens, although there is no proof of this. The corals, which are dark pink, sometimes reddish, have magical properties, whatever the case.
Wands with this core are often loyal to the extreme; the wand 'wilts' when their first owner dies or if they're separated by force. They, therefore, typically cannot be won over, even in a duel. Wandmakers would say that wands with Anacapri pink coral are semi-alive; the wands have a interesting habit of refusing to perform magic that goes against the users morals, even if said user is the one who performs it. They also seem to nudge their owner in the direction of certain spells, almost twitching if the user considers one that the wand 'thinks' is suited to their task.
Hair colour and style: Dark brown, sometimes blond, depending on the light. He keeps it neatly parted and combed, usually styled with gel.
Eye colour: Light blue, almost greyish.

Dress sense: He always dresses immaculately; he is, after all, the heir.
Tattoos: None. It’s not something he’s interested in; why taint his skin?

Scars: None. Or at least, no obvious ones; cuts were healed the moment he got them, and despite his adventurous side, he’s careful to avoid something that could truly hurt or injure him.
Likes: (3 minimum)
- Travelling; he wants to see the world. (Who doesn’t?)
- The power that comes with being the heir
- Woods; despite his birthplace being surrounded by some of the most beautiful ocean sights around the world, Jesse has always preferred to stay on the ground and venture into woods and forests. The ocean, he says, is too vast and wide; he can’t see the end, and he prefers the known. There is less risk in that.
- He’s an adrenaline junkie, so he likes anything that gives him that rush — cliff diving, sky diving, etc. Note that despite having fears that would limit him, he strives to push beyond them.
Dislikes: (3 minimum)
- His first name; he thinks it’s too feminine. He goes by his nickname instead.
- Being the youngest (even if only by 13 minutes), because Aria is constantly reminding him of this. (And he doesn’t appreciate the fact he’s the heir AND the youngest.)
- Too much responsibility; a lot of the time, Jesse wants to have fun and do things that he’s not allowed to, because of what he has to do and who he is.
- Superficial people/talk, especially in women, although he knows that it’s a necessity. He prefers depth to people.
Hates:
- Rome.
Strengths: (3 minimum)
- He has a well-rounded education. This means that even subjects he was unsure of, have been worked on to such an extent that it wouldn’t appear as though he struggles with anything. It is unseemly to be limited by something as simple as school.
- Politics. Like his father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and basically almost every male before him, Jesse has a natural intuition and flare for all things political. He knows the risks to take and the risks not to take, the people to butter up, the things to say to sway a crowd, and the likes.
- Due to the above, Jesse is not only trained in but has a natural talent towards speech making, be it to crowds or one-on-one. He instinctively reads people well and can tell them what they want to hear; he’s naturally convincing.
- As mentioned, he is also good at reading people. He can sense the mood of a person and tell whether they like or dislike something, how interested they are, and so forth so on. He has also received instruction on this, so whether it’s more due to nature or nurture is uncertain.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
- Family; despite his squabbles with his twin and the distance in age with his older sister, Jesse would do anything to keep them safe. He may bully and tease Aria, for example, but if anyone else dared to try, he would hex them to the next century.
- Anything that brings him an adrenaline rush. (See likes.)
- Quidditch; due to his fear of heights, he doesn’t play very well. He knows the game, but has no interest other than perhaps watching.
- Situations that are new to him; while he enjoys a mental challenge, he does have a slight tendency to overthink and get anxious about things that he’s unfamiliar with – but only if they’re major ones. (He’s fine with small, unfamiliar things.)
Positive Traits: (3 minimum)
- Nothing anyone can say really ruffles his feathers; he’s not easily offended or shocked by anything. Overall, he’s just laidback in general. Oftentimes though, he likes leading people on and getting a rise out of them, so while he himself isn’t bothered, he bothers others. (See negative trait 3 for more info.)
- Despite being raised in a family that is mostly geared towards politics, Jesse is the kind of person that always keeps his promises. He can and does say many things that he doesn’t always mean, but if he specifically promises someone something, he will keep his word no matter what.
- Progressive: in a world if intolerance especially within his own kind, he has a sense of duty to those less than him. For example, the history that his family has with werewolves makes him feel inclined for his island to create a safe harbor for those creatures. Capri is known to have reservations and smaller areas that allow werewolf communities to properly live in some sense of normalcy. In terms of lesser others such as halfbloods or muggleborns, he of course treats them like human beings and equals, but the intent is more on politeness. Muggles are the last group of people that he knows due to the large tourism in Capri, and through politics, but doesn't mingle too much unless dictated.
- Helpful; if he sees a need, more likely than not Jesse will step in to fill it, where he can. The only time he wouldn’t is when it puts himself or his family at risk. (If it puts himself at risk but helps family, he would still do it.)
- Jesse is mostly easygoing and friendly, talking with anyone and everyone. He isn’t shy when it comes to striking conversation with strangers, and makes friends easily.
- Family oriented; he would do anything for them – anything.
Negative Traits: (3 minimum)
- Obstinate about things he strongly believes in. Not only will he not budge, but he is willing to put pretty much anything on the line to prove his point. The only times he backs down is if it’s with someone he truly respects or likes enough to not lose the friendship. (There aren’t many of those.)
- He has a rather high self-esteem, and not in the good way. He tends to see himself as very smart, very good looking, and very powerful. He’s not afraid of showing off, either, and sometimes rather enjoys it.
- Jesse has a rather… annoying habit of enjoying leading and edging people on. While he himself does not typically get bothered by much, he often pretends to be and argues or pokes back at them in order to get a rise. He finds amusement in this.
- Somewhat impulsive; if he doesn’t immediately see a downside to something he wants to do, Jesse tends to do it. Of course, he’s not entirely stupid and won’t do something that is forbidden or too outrageous.
- Due to his friendly and easygoing nature, sometimes people – females especially – think he’s flirting with them. This could be detrimental to his name, although he usually makes it clear that he just sees them as a friend or that he’s just being nice/friendly.
- He doesn’t typically compromise (except with people he truly cares about); he does what he wants, and if someone doesn’t agree or approve he’s perfectly happy to do it alone. (That isn’t to say he does things he’s not meant to.)
Random Facts/Traits:
- Suave. It comes both with his training and naturally.
- His favourite animals are dragons.
- He can be rather impish at times; his sense of humour is either cheek or dry sarcasm and wit.
- Polyglot: Due to his schooling in France, he knows multiple languages and can speak French, English, Italian and Spanish fluently. He only wishes to learn more for when he comes into politics, he is able to properly function and need little help.
- His view on the world: While young, he feels like the people within the elite pureblood society can sometimes by blinded by fear. He knows that the two worlds (muggle and magical) will one day collide and the more they struggle the more painful it will be once it comes to fruition. He finds stern believes admirable, though short sighted.
Born 13 minutes after his twin sister, Jules was finally born, the heir of the Valentino family, in a year entirely different than his sister. As was custom, he was given the middle name ‘Remus’, reminding him and everyone else of their heritage.
Already, he had a ten year old sister, Isabella, but soon after his birth she was off to school, meaning he never really spent much time with her; by the time he was six, she was already engaged, and at seven he attended her wedding. Jules, therefore, was always closer to his twin; some might have said they had the twin connection. Much of the time, except when they had different tutors for different subject, the two could be found together, chatting or playing games, or even just relaxing and doing their own thing, together.
It was around five that some of his friends — Purebloods, from different families — began teasing him, as all kids do, about his name. Jules, they said, was a female name. It was then that Jules started going by Jesse, something his then best friend Matteo, a fellow Pureblood (albeit of lesser statue), had randomly called him. From then on, Jules became known as Jesse
As the heir, Jesse was given extra attention, and from birth he was taught the proper things to say and do; there was no slacking in his training. With his father as the Minister of Magic, Jesse grew up knowing and understanding not only the importance of politics but studying it every opportunity he got. Many of his childhood days were spent in his father’s office, not playing but absorbing everything he could, a tutor and butler beside him to answer any questions he may have had.
With Capri being a relatively small island, in comparison to other cities, Jesse was often allowed to visit town with only Aria and a single butler to ensure they did not get up to much mischief. As they grew older and understood the importance of keeping their heritage and abilities a secret, they were also allowed to venture out into the muggle areas, where they were taught about different lifestyles in preparation for Jesse’s future job. (His father knew that, as the future Minister, Jesse would need to know not only how wizards did things, but muggles, in an attempt to ensure he didn’t make foolish errors or ask stupid questions if and when something important pertaining to muggles arose.) As such, Jesse grew up surrounded both by magic and muggles.
He would often visit his older sister and her husband, and as he grew older it became apparent that, while a sweet lovely girl, Isabella had not the mind nor with that Aria had.
At eleven, as he started school, the news came that Isabella was pregnant.
Nine months later, as Jesse thrived in Beauxbatons, he became an uncle to Lucas. School wasn't a very difficult task, not with the amount of tuition and studies he received from tutors throughout his life, and Jesse excelled in almost every subject. Passing his final exams with everything except two being Outsanding (the remaining were Exceeds Expectations), Jesse left Beauxbatons at 17, going home ready to take on the internship his father promised.
What came, however, was not what Jesse had expected. Instead of working directly with his father, Jesse was instead sent to every other department, spending around 2 weeks in each section. The idea here wasn't for him to fully learn the ins and outs but rather get the general idea of how each department ran. With him already knowing the concepts and rules and whatnot (he'd been taught it in detail as soon as he was old enough to learn), it wasn't difficult; he merely got to see what he knew in practise as well as pick up some things that couldn't be taught. He threw himself into the work, knowing that once his father retired, it would be his turn to run for government. It was here he made some of his closest friends, from different departments; although some had been suspicious of him at first -- he was, after all, the minister's son -- his easygoing and friendly nature soon put them at ease.
At eighteen and a half, he finished. There was one clear agreement: if his father found someone that could potentially be Jesse's wife, he must return to Capri to meet with them. This wasn't difficult, not with floo and apparation, and it was the easiest promise Jesse ever made. So, with a simple backpack and money in his wallet, Jesse started out.

Was technically given a Tibetan mastiff when he was in Tibet, but it stays with the family that gave it to him, for weather reasons. (Anywhere else would be too hot for the poor creature, with only a few exceptions; none of these are where Jesse plans on staying full time, ever.)
Also ‘has’ 4 dragons; he gave a donation to some rescue group and ‘bought’ a dragon… 4 times. (Akin to the WWF ‘adopt an animal’ program, except with a Hungarian Horntail, Peruvian Vipertooth, Antipodean Opaleye, and a Chinese Fireball). He has visited them numerous times at the conservation habitat they are in, although always from a distance and with Dragon Trainers supervising him.
Thanks to WWF he also ‘has’ 2 tigers, 3 turtles, 2 orangutans, and 3 rhinos. WWF has stated he is allowed to visit them (unfortunately they’re all in a conservation park, with rehabilitation to the wild impossible for various reasons) but he has yet to. (He found out about this program through a halfblood friend.)
The Valentino family is the most famous family surname in Italy. Since its founding in Napoli, the family has found themselves pushing away from the norms of Rome and instead found their ancestral home in Capri, Italy. Traditionally, the Valentino is very tight knit, with a "family first" ideology that everyone inherits.
Lorenzo Valentino, the current head, is currently the Minister of Magic for Italy, with his wife Attina the first lady and a writer in her own right.
Careers come and go when it comes to the Valentinos, but what has remained is that the men in their family involve themselves in politics and the women are naturally beautiful wives.

Thank you for posting up your second character! The Admin team have review the profile you put up, and have come up with the following points for you to amend before we can accept Jesse:
Profile:
1. A few of the likes and dislikes contradict one another. One moment Jesse is being said to see 'less risk' in an action, the next he is noted as an 'adrenaline junkie'. Sometimes Jesse is noted as being 'impulsive' and yet, he'd known to only do things that aren't risky. It may be worthwhile looking through these points and deciding if any of them can be tweaked slightly.
2. A short note of Jesse's view on the 'Elite' world might be worth note, so that others know his outlook.
3. You have stated Jesse has non-verbal magic which, in the Admins' opinion reads like a power. As Jesse doesn't have 100 posts, we're afraid that, at this time, the non-verbal magic will not be accepted, but can, of course, be something he works towards.
4. The ideology of the Valentino family seems to be very open of halfbreeds, creatures and Muggles. Most Elite families are not so accepting, so we would love to know how this came to be (outside of the werewolves, as this makes sense).
5. You have denoted that the Italian government, and more importantly the Ministry, can get jobs by inheritance. Normally speaking, there is an election to appoint the Minister of a country, and we would, therefore, advise that you drop this point unless it can be explained with greater clarity. Italy is, in the real world, a democracy, and such a role would therefore be voted upon.
6. Jesse is noted as going to Beauxbatons, so it may be worth noting the languages he can speak in his profile for clarity.
7. The Admins don't believe that spending a week to twelve days in each department of the Ministry would give a true flavour of what they do. Whilst we understand you have a timeline set out, we don't believe this would have been enough time to be fruitful to Jesse, and would encourage you to reconsider this point.
8. Jesse's mother's name changes in the application -- see Mother section and then Family Background.
Pureblood History:
1. The use of Valentine and Valentino has been used in the app -- is this a spelling mistake, or purposeful?
2. Confirmation of where the Valentino family holds it's power. Is their power solely the island of Capri? Or should this be all of 'Southern' Italy?
3. There they laid their roots and from then on in honor of the Spanish woman, Ana, they named the word Anacapri. They deemed this the land where their ancestral home would be and they built the home that still stands today.
This part of the paragraph seems to have lost it's purpose. Who is Ana? Why are they honouring her? Who is she to the Valentino family?
4. There are a number of other typos in the application, please can you go through the application again to ensure these are kept to a minimum.
Once all of the above changes have been completed, the Admins will look thorough the application once more, and come back to you should any subsequent changes be required.
