Janet nodded in agreement. She was the same way! Taking sloppy notes seemed to her to be more work in the long run than if you just took neat, thorough ones.
As the other girl's lip twisted in what Janet could only interpret as disgust, she couldn't help but wonder why duplicating them would be such a bad idea. After all, it would save them a great amount of time and effort, and even as the girl spoke Janet couldn't help but feel a bit offended. She didn't outwardly show it, of course, as she was sure that hadn't been Clara's intention, but she turned her gaze back to the notes in front of her. She couldn't help but feel like Clara's words were implying that she was somehow lazy for not wanting to spend her whole day copying notes when she had a billion other things to do. Who knows, maybe she was being lazy... "That's a good point," she said briefly, before moving on. She didn't really feel like dwelling on the situation any longer.
She grinned and nodded as the other girl asked about whether she had a mobile phone or not. "Yes, I do! Here." She ripped a bit of paper out of the back of her notebook, jotting down her phone number and handing it to the younger girl. "There you go!"
