My dearest Mimosa,
Wow have I missed you this summer, little one! I bet you've grown so, so much! Did you miss me? I bet you didn't have time to miss me, did you? I received your gifts over the holidays when I returned to the Palace, they're exquisite! Now, I just need the right place to be able to wear them!
How was India, Mimosa? Tell me all about your trip, and rest assured, I will be waiting eagerly for your reply to know about it all!
Elenore and I were in Italy for the summer, you might remember? We were securing a number of assets for the Clement house. Boring adult stuff, of course! I definitely missed seeing you this summer, a run through the Dahliantelle would have been so very welcome!
Before you think I've forgotten about it, though, please find a parcel with this letter carrying your birthday present. Stop reading now and open it, if you haven't already...
Okay, so now you've opened it, what do you think? Isn't the bat amazing? Try it out when you can, I think it's lightweight enough for you to be able to do really well this year! When do your Quidditch training sessions start? If you let me know when your games are, I'll arrange with the Headmistress that I can come and watch! Oh, and the Slytherin team have new kit for this season. We can't let anyone else win the Quidditch Cup this year!
Remember to share the sweets with Mercy, Dominique and Gaspard -- and all your other friends! And, there are some new clothes in there too, from our designers. They were put out with not being able to make you anything for the summer season, so I put them to work on an Autumn collection instead. If anything needs altering, send it to the Palace.
