Upon finding his parents would be away for a week of the summer, Dimitri had asked if he could visit their Scottish Retreat in their absence. Chevelle was heading off with their parents, and Dimitri had played the card of needing some place to find his muse in order to finish the piece he'd been composing. The Scottish manor that the Moreau's owned was picturesque, perfect for finishing his work.
And, his Maman had agreed upon hearing that.
Thanking his parents for the gift of the Manor for the week, Dimitri had hurried off to tell Nerisei via text, with the promise of sending her a portkey to arrive at the Manor with him.
Dimitri had headed down to the Manor the night before Nerisei's arrival to ensure that everything was set up adequately. The elves had dusted everything to a high shine, and a bed had been set up for each of them. Dinners would be served whenever the two wanted, and the elves insisted the lake was a beautiful temperature at this time of year.
The Moreau heir had changed in to short sleeve shirt and a pair of trousers Nerisei had arrived, checking himself in the mirror before he moved down to the front garden to wait for her to arrive. His stomach was full of butterflies as he stood waiting, glancing back up at the manor with mild uncertainty.
Was this enough?
Dimitri couldn't be sure, but he knew that taking her to the Sandringham estate would be foolish...
Now, all he had to do was wait... |

| Meeting up with Dimitri was the only thing Nerisei had wanted since they had left Hogwarts. The witch had spent most days practicing her violin, dancing and avoiding her mother as much as possible. Of course, she was helping her plan the trip to France --she wasn't that mean, after all-- but that was pretty much it. Spending too much time with her mum ended with Nerisei either painting alongside her, or with the witch being surrounded by photographers. Neither was truly pleasant. Thankfully, Dimitri had learned how to use his phone quite well, and texting was Nerisei's new favorite thing, since it was the fastest way to keep in touch with her Dimitri. The picture was finally sent along with a gift from the Ravenclaw male, something Nerisei still couldn't accept, since gifts from boys was not something she received often, but she was enjoying it. Because it wasn't just any boy. It was Dimitri Moreau. The guy she had deep feelings for. After a few texts, Nerisei and Dimitri had agreed upon meeting in one of his houses in Scotland. Truth be told, Nerisei did expect a big house, he was a Pureblood afterall, but what she was about to see exceeded her expectations. The witch had apparated to the luxurious estate with the portkey Dimitri had sent for her. Once her eyes landed upon the castle in front of her, though, Nerisei felt like her heart stopped beating. Was that his house? Shaking herself out of the shocked state, Nerisei fixed her outfit and then started walking closer. Her eyes found Dimitri faster than ever, and a gigantic smile touched her features. Dropping her bag on the ground, Nerisei literally ran to Dimitri, throwing herself into his arms and capturing his lips. Oh how she had missed him... A moment passed and the witch finally pulled back, biting her lip as a small giggle escaped her. "Hello, Mitri..." |

| The summer sun was warm on Dimitri's skin, and for a moment he closed his eyes, taking a moment to enjoy the tranquility of the setting. No one came up here, the lands were private, and there was no one around for miles. Everything he and Nerisei would need was within the household, and in the unlikely event she wanted something they didn't have, the house elves would see to their every need.
His heart was beating slightly faster that morning. Nervous, to say the least. But, he knew Nerisei would likely not care where he brought her to, so long as he was there. But even in knowing that, Dimitri wasn't confident enough to be sure she would like it anyway.
But as his watch announced the hour, the Portkey came in to view, and with it, Nerisei. Dimitri's smile grew exponentially in that moment, watching the witch take in her new surroundings before she hurried towards him, launching herself in to his arms and claiming his lips as her own. The male's arms wrapped around the witch's slender frame, holding her to him as he kissed her back fully.
"Hello, Miss Volkova," Dimitri replied to her greeting, pressing the lightest of kisses to the tip of her nose. "Welcome to the Moreau Scottish Retreat." He added, turning them sideways so that she could see his holiday home. For a moment he looked to the manor from where they stood, wondering how the witch before him saw it, before his eyes moved back to her.
"Do you like it?" He asked tentatively, because he was still trying to work Nerisei out. He still didn't fully understand the witch, but with each day that passed, he was getting to know her more. Learning to cherish her more, and, for however many days the witch stayed with him, he knew that he was going to find more and more to love about her. |

| The wizard kissed her back just as sweetly and Nerisei allowed herself to melt into his arms. Dimitri was always careful with her, making sure she was happy and comfortable and Nerisei felt like a princess whenever she was with him. As he greeted her, placing a few small kisses on the tip of her nose, the Ravenclaw witch bit her lip, keeping in the content sigh that threatened to escape. She loved it when he did that.
"Welcome to the Moreau Scottish Retreat."
Nerisei allowed herself to take a good look at the estate once again. It wasn't that she hadn't seen it the first time, no, but the more she was looking at it, the harder it was for the witch to register how enormous it was. It wasn't the first time she was coming face to face with such a big building, but the idea that this was simply one of his homes slightly scared her. If this was a simple summer house, how did his actual home look like? Way bigger than what you will ever have, the witch though and for the slightest of moments, a frown touched her lips, but it was gone just as fast as it had come.
"Do you like it?"
The witch turned to look at Dimitri once again, a look of shock gracing her features. Did he actually think that she didn't like the place? Or did he actually believe that Nerisei cared whether his house was big or small? Neri hadn't come here to see his home. She had missed him and all she wanted to do was spend time with Dimitri. Because staying away from him for so long was a torment.
"The House is beautiful, Dimitri. But I am here for you. It doesn't matter how big or small the estate is." Nerisei reminded him, leaning in to place a small kill on his cheek. There was no reason for him to worry about such things. "Now, what have you planned for us?" |

| As he waited for her verdict, Dimitri took in the look of surprise that touched her features when he asked if she liked it. Should he not have asked that question? Or was she simply shocked that he could fathom a point in which she would not like it? Dimitri couldn't be sure, in truth, and so he waited only a fraction longer for Nerisei's answer to the question, smiling at her words that the location was not important to her.
"I know, I just want our time together to be perfect." Dimitri admitted softly when she told him it didn't matter. The witch before him was something else, far from the ladies in the social settings he was used to, but in a manner that Dimitri enjoyed, because she didn't need the world to be happy.
Only him.
Nerisei's question of what he had planned, though, was somewhat sobering. The young man paused, looking to the house and then back at Nerisei with a sheepish smile. "Honestly, I was too nervous about getting this right, I didn't think about it. But, there is a music room here, a swimming pool, there's the lake, we can explore the grounds. The library is extensive... I... don't know what you want to do, but we can do anything, anything at all.
"And, the elves will cater to our every need. Food, drinks, you name it, it's all there to be completed. They're at your service, night and day." Dimitri told her, hoping all of this was okay, because he'd fallen short on the planning side. |

| The fact that Dimitri wanted everything to be perfect was something expected. Dimitri was a Pureblood, and had learned to be perfect on everything, something that Nerisei appreciated but didn't find necessary. After all, the only thing Nerisei wanted to spend time with him, it didn't matter what.
They're at your service, night and day."
At the mention of all the different places they could go and all the different things they could do, Nerisei smiled widely, looking into Dimitri's eyes with a big smile. The estate was obviously big enough to house  different activities and the possibilities were truly endless s, but Nerisei truly wanted one thing. To stay in Dimitri's arms for as long as possible.
"I just want to spend the day with you, Mitri. We can dance! We haven't dance in a while... And then we can try swimming again?" Nerisei offered, unsure of whether that would be something Dimitri wanted. "And then we can have dinner and just... Cuddle. I've missed you, Dimitri." |

| The options that Nerisei offered were ones that brought a warm smile to Dimitri's lips. "We can do whatever you want to..." Dimitri replied with a warm smile, bringing his lips to hers once more. "I'll just get your bag." He added, letting her go to retrieve her bag before coming back to take her hand and show her in to what was going to be their home for the next few days.
After a small tour -- showing Nerisei to her room, explaining where the toilet was, where the kitchen was (not that she would need to go in there, Dimitri added), the library, the music room, and pretty much the whole house, Dimitri had shown her back in to the music room which was big enough for them to dance. Today, though, Dimitri kept to the dances he was comfortable with, not daring to dip back in to the bachata just yet. Sometimes they just kept to a simply sway, talking to one another whilst swaying to the music, whilst others Dimitri span the witch until she was giggling in his arms as he held her to him to ensure she wouldn't fall over.
Once they'd finished with the dancing, they'd had lunch together out on the terrace overlooking the grounds that were picturesque enough to be shown upon a postcard had photographers been allowed up there, but it was just the two of them. Watching the world go by as they ate, happy in one another's company.
Once they'd finished that, they'd separated only long enough to get changed before heading to the pool. Dimitri had reminded Nerisei of how to float -- which had been much more successful than her first attempt, before beginning to teach the witch to swim on her back. Dimitri never let the witch go, keeping her afloat even if she didn't need him, but he'd promised her that he'd never let her get in to trouble, and he was going to stand by that.
When Nerisei had had enough, opting to sit on the edge instead of swimming, Dimitri had shown her a number of things he could do, from handstands in the water, to impressive dives and backflips in to the water. It was clear for all to see that Dimitri was a water baby, and the Ravenclaw was happy to entertain Nerisei -- something he knew to be doing from the smile on her face as he resurfaced and swam to her, hoisting himself from the water enough to steal a kiss from her lips before moving off again.
As the afternoon faded away, the two retreated back inside, showering before heading down for dinner. The house elves had prepared a three course dinner for the two of them, catering to Nerisei's every need and ensuring they were well looked after. Wine adorned the table, as was normal for Dimitri's family, and he'd drunk two glasses over the course of their evening together, nothing too much, as was fitting.
It had grown rather late by that point, due to the two of them just talking and not rushing through their dinner. Dimitri had aided her up from the table and walked her up to the room that had been laid out for Nerisei, pausing in the doorway and turning her back towards him.
"I'll bid you goodnight here..." The boy told her, leaning down to press a soft kiss upon her lips. "And, I'll see you in the morning, I'm just next door." He explained, telling her as much even though he was making no effort to let her go or move along to his own room. But, to go in to Nerisei's room with her... no, such things were something Dimitri couldn't possibly think of. There had to be limits, didn't there?
Otherwise... No, Dimitri wasn't sure what would happen otherwise. |

| To say that this could have possibly been the best day of her life would be an understatement. Nerisei hadn't felt so happy and... fulfilled in a very long time, if ever. After Dimitri had taken her bag --and then her hand--, he had led her inside the estate and had successfully given her a full tour of the place. From the Music room, to the Kitchens, the Library and, of course, their rooms... Everything was even more majestic that what the young witch had expected. It was as if she was being introduced to a different lifestyle. A different world. And the truth was, she actually was.
Their first activity consisted of dancing and Nerisei hadn't actually registered how much she had truly missed it until Dimitri's arms were around her, swaying them around the room to the beat of the music. They had, as expected, strayed away from the Bachata, and for once in her life Nerisei considered that a wise choice, and had instead stuck with the Waltz. The duo didn't rush through the dance though.. Instead, they swayed softly, talking about pretty much anything, until Dimitri decided to spin her around until her giggles were echoing loud and clear. Nerisei had, of course, ended up hiding her face into his chest, trying to calm herself down, but the fun she was having couldn't be rivaled.
Afterwards, they had lunch together out on the terrace of the house, and Nerisei spend most of the time staring at the impossibly beautiful view. And during that time, the young witch found herself getting lost in her thoughts, dreaming about a life she could never have. How beautiful it would be to live here with Dimitri, the guy she had fallen in love with, waking up to this amazing view every day. Together... But this is not a life you can ever have, the witch thought, bringing herself back down to earth. Because imagining impossible things was not going to work out for her.
Next was the pool, and for once the witch didn't mind being in the water. After a fast reminder of how to float --with the aid of Dimitri--, the witch was able to float and then swim around softly. Of course, she still wasn't an expert at swimming, but she was getting better and better with each time. Tiredness took over her soon enough, though, and the witch leaned against the side of the pool, while Dimitri was showing off, proving how amazing he was at swimming. It was obvious that Nerisei would never reach that level, but just the fact that she was swimming was enough.
The afternoon came, and both of them retired to their rooms, showering and getting ready for dinner. Nerisei spent quite some time in the luxurious bathroom, feeling as if she was truly a princess. It had taken the witch quite sometime to get used to the fact that she was allowed to touch all the things that were in her room, and that she was indeed, allowed to... act as if it was her house. But even though Nerisei was used to some type of luxury, this was a whole other story. This... this reminded her of a fairytale.
Dinner was amazing, as expected, and Nerisei spend quite some time eating her food and talking with Dimitri, not rushing through anything. She was enjoying herself way too much, and she was constantly catching herself thinking of how amazing it would be if this was her life. If Dimitri was her husband, and if this was the way they would be having dinner every single day. In their home. As a family. But Nerisei was a Muggleborn, and eve though Dimitri hadn't cast her away just yet, she knew that there was no happy ending for them. What she couldn't bring herself to do, though, was let him go.
And that was her mistake.
After Dinner was over, Dimitri helped her up from the table and towards her room, where he stopped to bid her goodnight. Though, for Nerisei, it was still too soon. Too soon to let go. She hadn't satiated her need for him just yet. She wanted more. More time. More Dimitri.
"No... Don't go just yet." The witch insisted, taking her hand in his and holding it tight. A small smile and a glossy look touched her features, proof that the wine had touched her brain just a little bit, but it was still safe. She still had full control... kind of. "I know it's not... proper, but please, I don't want you to go. Stay with me for a little bit longer." Nerisei said, pulling him inside of her room ever so slowly, testing to see if he would pull away. If he did, Nerisei wouldn't force him to stay, but she was, once again, testing the waters. |

| "No... Don't go just yet."
"Nerisei..." Dimitri replied softly, giving her the look that usually came when he wasn't comfortable with a situation. Her hand grew tighter on his, though, almost urging him to trust her, even though he knew better than to go along with such things.
"I know it's not... proper, but please, I don't want you to go. Stay with me for a little bit longer."
"Neri..." He tried again, but the argument in his head would not form in to full sentences. He couldn't bring himself to tell her that they were only going to get hurt if they kept going. He knew, oh Merlin he knew, that he was going to end up in a situation that would hurt them both, but that didn't stop him. For a few moments, the Ravenclaw remained still, looking to Nerisei and trying to decipher what he should do. For a few moments, just brief moments, he considered saying no, bidding her goodnight and leaving her where she was, on her own.
But, the way she was looking at him, coaxing him to stay and applying a light bit of pressure to urge him inside the room... Dimitri found himself, once more, incapable of denying Nerisei what she wanted.
"I'm not staying all night, though." Dimitri told her softly as he relented, allowing her to pull him in to the room as he pushed the door closed behind them. "And I mean that, Neri..." He insisted, trying to make her see some reason. But, now they were inside her room, alone, Dimitri could feel himself getting a little bit tense.
He knew better, but Nerisei always pushed him forward in to trying new things, and the unknown... the unknown was always a scary idea to overcome. So, the Moreau heir simply waited for Nerisei to take charge, and if it wasn't so bad, he'd follow her lead. |

| "Neri..." Dimitri was resisting her and Nerisei was prepared for that. The young witch had learned that it was very hard to go against your own nature, but Dimitri seemed to do that quite often when he was alone with her. If it wasn't her, but another Pureblood girl before him, Dimitri wouldn't hesitate at all. He would have turned on his heel, after bidding her goodnight, and left with no other word. But, truth be told, if it was a Pureblood girl in her place, Dimitri would have never been tempted, the way she was tempting him. But Nerisei had grown to learn Dimitri's patterns. He was a gentleman, that would never change. His manners were there all the time and he rarely ever allowed himself to slip up, but there were times, when Nerisei decided to push him a little bit more, that Dimitri actually fought the urge to do everything he had been told and instead, follow his heart and his body. There were times that logic wasn't needed. And one of these times was that exact moment. Because after a couple of moments, the wizard moved inside the room with her, earning a big smile from Nerisei. She had won. For now. The insistence that he wouldn't be staying all night was ignored by the witch, even though a part of her knew it was true. Dimitri wouldn't allow himself to do that. Not just yet, at least. And Nerisei was not going to push him to the point where he would hate it. No, the witch wanted to ease him into this relationship of some sorts, and allow him to see all the pleasures it could offer him. She would let him learn that it wasn't bad. That, on the contrary, this was what he truly wanted. A part of him, at least. That even if she wasn't a Pureblood witch, she was still able to love him and cherish him for the man he was. "Thank you!" Was all Nerisei said, letting go of his hand to go in her closer. "I'll just change really quick!" Nerisei yelled, as she undressed, putting on one of her favorite nightdresses and checking herself in the mirror. She looked... good. Walking back outside, Nerisei understood that Dimitri would probably feel uncomfortable, so before he could say anything, she grabbed a silky robe and tied it over the nightdress, giving him a knowing smile. She wasn't going to make his life hard today. "What would you like to do?" |
