Annagramma Hawkeye Rsz_ge10
Full Name: Annagramma Hawkeye
Age: 38
Date of birth: 23 June 1991
Birthplace: Northsouthwestshire, Loxley, Baldwin County, Alabama, USA
Current home: Paris, France
Blood Status: Halfblood
Sexual Alignment: Heterosexual, but appreciative of all genders.
Wand type: Sphinx claw, ten inches, dogwood, flair for drama.

Annagramma Hawkeye Rsz_ap10
Hair colour and style: Naturally an ashy blonde, Annagramma has sported many hair colors and styles throughout her life. As an artist, experimenting with her looks has always been on the table. Though it should be noted that Anna remains always, some shade of blonde. From mousy brown blonde to red and gold, she likes to maintain her original touch to some degree. Currently, Annagramma sports mid length blonde highlights with a darker blonde base. Naturally straight, her hair however has learned to fall into wavy spirals for how often they have been wrapped around paint brushes, pencils and even her wand on occasion.

Eye colour: Blue

Height: 5 foot 7

Body type: Anna grew small since childhood, not so much due to diet as to fit in the narrow bed she knew she would have to survive long past she outgrew it. Slim and perhaps a little fragile, Anna looks as if a good gust of wind might blow her away but in truth the witch possesses sturdiness that belies her slight frame.

Dress sense: Eclectic and perhaps considered inappropriate by more than a few people. Anna has always found clothes too restrictive and un-befitting of a free spirit like herself. As a result, she can be seen in minimal clothing when at home and only in pieces that catch her fancy when venturing outside. More often than not, the woman has attracted the wrong kind of attention for being under dressed in public situations.

Birthmarks: -

Tattoos: Anna likes to think of her body as her eternal canvas. So if tattoos do appear on it, they are always temporary.

Scars: A few from The Grey Years but nothing to really talk about.

Piercings: Three in each ear (though only utilizes one pair) and a navel piercing which almost always has a little diamond stud adorning it.

Likes: (3 minimum)
  - Anything that makes Alex Quinn happy. Vague as that might be, this has been Annagramma's guiding principle for as long as she can remember. the witch doesn't know when she started equating her happiness to his but by the time she realized it, it was too late to do anything about. As a result, Annagramma would do anything for the man who had appeared in her life like orange and blended himself into every shade of her existence.

  - Her home. The first home she ever truly thought to call her own or feel ownership of was the tiny studio in Milwaukee she and Alex moved into after her graduation and before her ill fated wedding. They've had many homes since and Anna likes them all because they always feel like hers.

  - The Clements. Initially unsure of the powerful people who had taken an interest in Alex and his work, Annagramma has come to appreciate the people in the big palace for their kindness and generosity. Having been around them for almost a decade now, she has little reason to doubt their motivation and every reason to be grateful to them. They had roped Alex in by promising to take care of Anna but have earned Anna's loyalty by taking care of Alex.

Dislikes: (3 minimum)
  - The girls who think they can take Alex away from her. They are never really a threat, more of an annoyance. Plus Anna doesn't like it when seem of them leaving makes Alex sad for a time. Fortunately, that has only happened a handful of times over their years together.

  - People who talk in front of her as if she is unable to understand them. Anna doesn't understand why some people feel the need to be condescending towards her, or talk loudly and slowly to her. She has never done so in kind but it annoys her and still remains a mystery to her as to why people behave this way.

  - Blank spaces, for they are indicative of blank personalities. And even blank personalities can be spruced up with a splash of color.

Strengths: (3 minimum)
  - Outgoing. Despite not always understanding social cues, Anna somehow contrived to be rather good at them. Perhaps it has something to do with her innately blank expression when others are talking. Other times it may be her good sportsmanship of laughing at herself along with others (though this mostly happens when she doesn't fully comprehend that a joke has been made at her expense), perhaps it is just her conventionally attractive appearance accompanied by a distinct lack of proper attire. Whatever it is, Anna is normally a hit at parties when she attends them. The woman's open and honest personality also enables her to make friends fairly easily.

  - Expressive. Anna may not always have the right words, or the facial expression, to convey what she's thinking or feeling, but she has a means to express herself few other people possess. Through her art, her dressing, her tone and her overall style, no one is ever left in any doubt what the witch wishes to say.

-Hyper focused. When need be, Anna can forget the entire world to concentrate on what matters most. She has always seen this as a strength because once, someone told her that people search their entire life for their purpose, for what they are supposed to do. Annagramma was lucky enough to find hers at age eleven, and she has never lost sight of that.

Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
  - Anna often has trouble understanding the world she was born into. Taking people at their word has more often than not proven the wrong thing to do. As has trusting people who claim to have her best interest at heart. It's not as if the witch hasn't tried. But the more she tries, the more confusing the world around hr#er becomes. These are the times she retreats into the safety of her home, of her colors and of her Alex.

  - Overly Emotional. Anna feels every emotion so intensely, it is all consuming in its duration. When she is sad, it feels like nothing will ever make her happy again. hen she is happy, she cannot even fathom the existence of sadness. Anxiety crates an energy in her that takes days to cool off and fear registers as so slid and palpable, Anna cannot breathe without being instructed to do so. Love as she knows it exists to span universes and still never be great enough. Anna doesn't know why she feels things in such a way but she has learned it is not normal.

-Alexander Quinn. There is nothing in the world she would not do for him.

Positive traits: (3 minimum)
  - Despite her intensely felt emotions and the sometimes inability to understand the world around her, Annagramma has near perfect recall. She can remember with almost complete accuracy events that happened decades in the past. The recollection also extends to things she has read or people she has met. Sadly, since no one has ever seen Anna as gifted in any way, she herself doesn't know this ability is rare and therefore a strength.

  - Anna is a uniquely compassionate person. Perhaps because she feels her own emotions so intensely, she is more empathetic towards what others feel. Whatever the reason, she can never walk away from someone in need or deny someone something she can afford to give them. This has lead to people taken advantage of her (chief among them, her family) but it is the only way Anna knows to exist.

  - Anna is a very creative person, but not just in art, as people are want to see. Growing up in NorthSouthWestShire, attending school with peers so wealthy, it was nearly unimaginable and almost marrying into a family that valued tradition above all else, the witch has had to find creative solutions for many a problem in life.

Negative traits: (3 minimum)
  - Anna was never and perhaps will never be an independent individual. Her life begins and ends with Alex and all he does. Their partnership of many years has always revolved around his wok, his travel his relationships and whatever else he desires. And Anna has never considered another way. Nor does she want to.

  - Anna is "peculiar". Or so her friends and teachers were want to say. In fact, most people she meets would use the same word. Anna doesn't know why but she gets the feeling they don't mean it in a good way.

  - Anna doesn't follow a routine, she rarely sticks to schedule and believes that repetition of anything is the death of creativity and artistic spirit. This often leads to disgruntlement between herself and her roommate as he is a creature of routine and habit.

The Pink Years

Annagramma is one of eleven children and though her mother insisted she is either number five or six in the line up, her grandmother called her "the eighth". Anna isn't sure whose memory is more reliable. Her favorite siblings were her younger twin brothers Colby and Darren and her older sister Brielle was the one she always went to for advice. Together, they were A, B, C, and D, Hawkeye - as their mother had always called them in the interest of saving time (something you have to do if you are raising eleven children, four grandchildren, six dogs, three cats, assorted owls and rats and one very old grandmother).

Annagramma knew from a young age that getting anything new would be next to impossible so she changed her perspective on hand me down things as one often does when she can't do anything else. She could always make the old things new by adding colors, patterns, scribbles, sewing on brooches and such to her clothes, bags and the rest. She once tried to dye the tail of one of the cats pink and in memory still has a pink scar in the well of her left palm. The cat - rather unfairly in the witch's opinion - remained grey and indifferent for the remainder of its life.

Annagramma was fully expecting to start her magical education down at the village school with Wizard Threehats and Miss D' Meenor like her siblings but one of her aunts conveniently decided to die and leave the fourth or fifth or sixth or eighth Hawkeye child some money for a proper education. In order to decide fairly which child would get the funds, Mrs. Hawkeye threw names into an old hat and so Annagramma ended up at Illvermorny where she was declared a thunderbird.

Despite the many domesticated animals at home, Annagramma decided against bringing a pet to school because the dogs were too attached to the younger Hawkeyes, the cats didn't care for her after that unfortunate pink dye incident and it would be plain silly to mess with the delicate balance of owls and rats in the house. She wasn't lonely though, she always kept a sketchpad and some crayons for company. She even learned a neat spell that turned her wand into a paint brush. Now if only she know how to make it paint in other colors, so far, she only has yellow and brown mastered - which can get very boring, especially if you want to paint things that don't include the sand and sun.

The Orange Years

Alexander Quinn came into her life like a streak of burnt orange.

Meeting him right off the bat, Anna didn't see anything too special about the boy with the then flaxen hair and a serious expression that shouldn't have been on someone so young. It took her a dunk in the water to realize how important it was to have him around. Anna made no shortage of friends due to her agreeable and sometimes slow nature, sadly she made just as many bullies. And slowly, the orange in her life began to glow brighter, sometimes turning red in her defense, sometimes yellow to brighten her day and sometimes a steady brown to ground her when her emotions ran too high. By the end of her first year, Anna knew he was truly orange. For orange was the only color that could bleed into any other hue and make it it's own. And that was exactly what Alex Quinn had done to her life, he had dyed it in the color of his presence.

School was, for the most part, humdrum with moments of interest here and there. Despite her memory and creativity, Annagramma was delegated to a normal, underachiever with little potential because few people took the time to look deeper into her learning style and true accomplishments. Anna didn't mind though, not being special meant being left to her devices for the most part. She had enough friends to spend time with if she wanted company, and Alex to retreat into when she didn't. Eventually things like exams, new years, summer holidays, her siblings growing up, getting married, moving out and running away all become one long humdrum, though not an unpleasant one.

looking back on the orange years, Anna has no regrets. Though perhaps they could have been better, but then again, so could everything in the world, she often reflects.

The Grey Years

Ironically, the grey years began with a colorful party.

It was the end of her sixth year, or near enough. A homecoming dance had been arranged at the school and while Annagramma wasn't sure exactly what would happen, she had high hopes for the event. The girl had gone out shopping, picked a dress, attempted to try and paint her face the conventional way most of her peers did and had walked out towards the large, brightly lit canopy in heels for the first time. unfortunately, she caught the attention of the wrong Quinn brother. Simon, visiting the dance to look in on his brother, had immediately sighted her and thus began an almost instant courtship.

Annagramma never knew how Alex felt about her and Simon, partly because she never asked and partly because Alex never said. So wholly because they never talked about it. Had he told her he didn't like it, she would have called it off at once. But he never told her to and she saw it as the only way to remain close to Alex post graduation. A best friend couldn't stay in the same house with you, but a brother's girlfriend and wife could be around you without needing an excuse.

The first time Simon Quinn hit her, it was an accident, or so he swore. They were walking outside the school building on a weekend when Simon had come to visit and it was getting close to curfew time. Annagramma had insisted they head back and Simon had insisted they could stay out longer. The discussion had ended with Simon shoving her slightly on his part. She had simply lost her balance and fallen down. At least that was how Simon said had happened. Only half a year into their relationship, Anna had learned to play Simon Says well.

With her graduation came a very public and romantic proposal, and saying no was the farthest thing from her mind. A chance to be part of Alex's family was more than she could ever have asked for. And if it came with the occasional blow to her body, that was a price she could pay. It was okay really because Simon didn't love her either, not truly. He had once confessed while drunk that she checked off all the criterias he would have wanted in a wife, hot, pliant, unwilling to complain about his occasional bouts of rough housing. Drunk Simon had also been aware of his girlfriend's close relationship with his brother, and enjoyed causing Alex the pain he imagined Alex to feel.

She had accepted it too, almost married Simon. But then Alex had found her broken and unable to move in the bath tub and the grey years came to a swift and decisive end. Though their memories would haunt Anna for a lifetime after.

The Green Years

The next chapter of Alex and Annagramma's lives began in a small studio in Milwaukee, but the where didn't matter as much, because their life started with each other, and with the understanding that it was how things were going to be, moving forwards. Anna wasn't capable of very much at the beginning, still suffering from what doctors would later diagnose as severe PTSD. They didn't know the words back then, all anyone ever knew was that Annagramma "ain't right" and to be "real quiet 'round her". But eventually with Alex's care and the general healing effect of the green years, she began painting again and thus returned to a part of herself she had been ready to compromise with Simon.

These years marked Alex's professional growth in his field and her personal growth in their own little home. Anna had always known that Alex was very clever, but it seemed other people had worked that out too. As his series of promotions continued, Anna sometimes worried if he was pushing himself too hard but he always assured her everything would be okay.

And it was, until it wasn't.

When Alex returned from work in the middle of the day, telling her he had a headache, Anna didn't suspect anything much. When the headache persisted for the next few days however, the witch began to get an idea. A week later, Alex finally told her what had happened. She didn't understand most of it but she listened because he needed to say it. And she held him after as he cried and worried about what would come next. They didn't have to wait for long to find out. Over the next few months, small luxuries and conveniences began to disappear and Anna had to sell her paintings to do what she could to help.

Help came in the form of the form of the Clements of France which lead them to the purple years.

The Purple Years

These years are marked most poignantly by the Alex and Annagramma's service to the Clements. Yes, while the paperwork may only denote Alexander Quinn as an employee of the palace, the Clements seem to understand perfectly well that separating Anna and Alex is impossible, therefore she too is in service of the palace. Initially suspicious of the family and the firm, Anna has come to appreciate what they had done for Alex and herself. She has also had the pleasure of meeting some of the family members and has found Lord Louis Clement to be a deep, reliable, earthy brown, his heir Jacques Clement a slightly more vibrant image of his father and the ward Mimosa Clement a pulsating, sometimes too bright pink. She approved of such colors around Alex.

Currently, Anna spends her time at home, painting and travelling with Alex when needed. Their commitment to each other post the gray years is still firm and will remain so until such time when they choose to undo it.

The Hawkeyes were rumored to just spring up out of the earth one day when Elizabeth and Jim Hawkeye moved to NorthSouthWestShire as if they had always lived there. Indeed Jim's mother, and their two children, seem to just come to life in the small village's tapestry. Elizabeth, a no nonsense woman by all accounts, set to work making herself useful while Jim continued to travel on his alchemical ventures. He returned home once or twice a year, and every time he left, he left his wife with a swollen belly. After their eleventh child, he never returned. Elizabeth shed no tears, presuming he had died on his travels. One doesn't have time to mourn with a house full of kids, cats, rats, owls and a steadily aging mother in law.

No one knows where Jim came from, or where Elizabeth hailed from. Their common name coupled with an even more common upbringing hints at a farming background in the deep south though.
