Hair colour and style: Alex sports the dirty blonde hair colour, sometimes it looks brown (when he's used too much gel / hair product), and sometimes it looks more blonde. It is dependent on the time of the year and / or how much he'd been holed up with his work. It's a little longer than the average male's hair cut, which if not styled can show a rather messy / unkept look.

Body type: Quite slender, Alex isn't anything remarkable body wise. He does try to get to the gym when he can, but he's never rocked a muscular physique, except in his arms, which at the right time, in the right light, in the right setting can look quite defined. He's never been the kind of guy to worry too much about his looks, though, having far more important things to worry about.
Dress sense: When at the Palace, or on Palace assignments, Alex will always be found in a suit, with tie, shoes highly polished, and his whole look simply screams well maintained and not an inch out of line. At home, he doesn't relax too much away from this, normally sporting a shirt (though likely sans tie and the top couple of buttons undone). Of course, there are down times where he can be found in a pair of shorts and a polo shirt instead, but the man likes to be quite smart.

Likes:
- Maths / Accounting / Literally anything with numbers.
- The Clement family -- they have saved him from a lot of things in life, and he will always be eternally grateful for that.
- Annagramma -- she has been the only constant in his life for the past 28 years, and he really appreciates that.
- Quidditch -- but only spectating, he's no good at playing.
- Art, to an extent -- years with someone who works in the field will eventually rub off on you.
- Women. Alex has been known to sleep around quite freely, he's genuinely lost count of the amount of one night stands he's had.
Dislikes:
- His family, but most specifically Simon.
- Violence, of any description.
- People who are mean / condescending to Annagramma.
- Tea -- it's so British.
Strengths:
- Self-disciplined.
- Calm under pressure -- a good trait for someone who works with one of the most powerful families in the world.
- Annagramma Hawkeye. The witch has been his strength through the hardest of times, ensuring he could get through anything with all of her quirky mannerisms.
Weaknesses:
- Self-confidence. This is very much an internal thing that pretty much nobody sees. It's been something Alex has battled with from his youth until now, always internally berating himself for the smallest of things. Outwardly, this doesn't show, because he's very capable of giving off a confident demeanour.
- Studying has always been something Alex wrestled with. Whilst not the cleverest on paper (i.e. in tests), Alex excels with knowledge in a more practical light.
- Keeping up relationships. Alex has never had a relationship that's lasted more than a couple of months. This is not entirely his own doing (though he will never point fingers to other causes), but is a common reoccurrence in his life.
Positive traits:
- Perfectionist -- all of his work is considered to the highest degree, which makes him one of the best in his field.
- Protective of those he holds nearest, there is nothing the man wouldn't do to protect the people he loves.
- Linked to the above, this makes Alex a very, very loyal person to be around. You will never doubt he has your back.
Negative traits:
- Perfectionist -- this costs him a lot. Time, friendships, colleagues.
- Alex is not always the best with social queues. He often misinterprets how things have been said with people he's unfamiliar with, which has led him to being slapped on numerous occasions by a lot of women.
- When not actively engaged in something, Alex does get quite irritable. Therefore, he tries to keep himself busy with a project of some kind.
Alex was born to a relatively new money family of Purebloods. His grandfather had made something of a business within Michigan, which his father had taken over when his own father had grown too old to keep up with it all. They didn't follow any of what would be deemed 'normal, European' Pureblood ideals, that got left back in Europe. But the Quinn family did try to keep themselves away from the Muggles for the most part, not wanting to mix, but that was about the only thing that made them different.
Alex is the youngest of three sons in the Quinn family, and at a younger age, he was by far the least impressive. Alex had never been very book smart as a kid, actually struggling with most of his studies because it just didn't come naturally to him.
At eleven, Alex followed his brothers to Ilvermorny where he was sorted in to Pukwudgie. This had been something of a surprise to Alex, as he'd thought he would follow in his parents and brothers steps (George had been in Horned Serpent like their mother, and Simon had been in Wampus like their father). It was in the moment of self-doubt about his new sorting, that Alex stumbled upon Annagramma. For all intents and purposes, Annagramma was a weird person to Alex. He didn't understand why she acted the way she did. Despite their very different ideas about things, though, the two became fast friends in their first year at the school, which progressed through to the years that followed.
From here, the key points in Alex's life are:
- Graduated from Ilvermorny at eighteen with reasonable results, but didn't have an interest in following any career in magic.
- Signed up to study his ACCA exams at eighteen with the first job he was given.
- Annagramma and Simon were due to get married the summer after graduating. After finding that Simon was abusing Annagramma, Alex had confronted both Simon and his family about such things, and when no satisfactory answer came, Alex insisted he was leaving with Annagramma, because it was his job to keep her safe.
- Alex and Annagramma moved to Milwaukee to start a new life, and Alex took up another job working in the accounting business. This job worked well enough for them in the short term, keep a roof over their head, and putting just enough food on the table for them to survive. Alex finishes up his studies and is given a little bit more of a role within the firm he's working for.
- A few years down the line, where Alex has an increased salary, they start to do better and can manage to afford a better place, and food is more aplenty. Things are looking up for the duo, and Alex is becoming more and more renowned in the field. That is, until Alex is used as the fall guy when he refuses to do some dodgy, creative accounting that he knows they will be pulled up on. The firm, pushes Alex out, but not without besmirching his name, and ending with him being the scrutiny of a lot of high officials which freeze all of his accounts, and make it incredibly difficult for the duo to live.
- On the verge of homelessness, and at their most desperate, they get a call from the Clements. They offer Alex the opportunity to work for them in return for protection from his employer, and the safety of a place to stay and food for Annagramma. Alex takes them up on the offer without a second thought, his priority keeping Annagramma safe.
- After moving to France, the two spent a year at the Palace, Alex learning the ropes of the Clement finances. Starting in a lower grade job to begin with, he has worked up to the head advisor for the Palace finances, and how to best work the money for the family.

The Quinn family is an 'okay' Pureblood family. They're not by any stretch of the imagination a well known Pureblood family. They are a newly establishing family, building a small empire within the Michigan State. They don't currently follow 'normal' Pureblood rules, because they don't have enough leverage within the wizarding world to push this. The family have invested heavily in land and buildings throughout Michigan which are generating high levels of income for the family.
Alex's parents met at Ilvermorny, and though they didn't get along splendidly, they could tolerate one another. That seemed to be enough for them to get married, both being from Pureblood families, it would further the Pureblood line, and that was all Alex's grandfather had wanted. It had been a pleasant enough marriage, but that was about all that could be said with it.
