Free Time for a Conversation (Hailey)

Ellie was having a terribly boring afternoon, so she decided the best thing to do after drafting a reply letter to Taela, she was going to visit the room designated for people who liked the arts. With that in mind she exited her bed for breakfast, wearing black jeans and a red turtleneck under a dark brown, fluffy sweater to match her dark brown boots. She pulled her hair into a high ponytail, at the base of the ponytail she wore a red ribbon from her mother that she tied into a neat bow. Small tendrils of hair left the ponytail to frame her face in off-ways as she headed to the library with her writing stuff in tow and begun drafting. After sufficiently writing a good summary of how she felt and the things she’d done to Taela, she stretched out and realized she had a few more assignments to do before free-time was allowed.

She questioned whether or not she should actually do them, they were tedious and boring and did they really matter? Yeah, a voice in her brain that sounded like Caelan snapped at her, they matter a lot, so you can pass your classes. Jeez, El. She frowned and shook her head to shake the voice away as she started on those assignments. Well after finishing them her butt was aching from sitting for so long and her hand was cramping so she decided it was best to start her trek to the Arts room.

Once she was in there, she smiled as she saw a violin amongst the instruments. She hesitantly lifted it up and put it into position, playing a few notes with ease. Her mother had played the violin when she was pregnant with her brothers and herself (Cassana Brennham was a small lady by nature and after five months of pregnancy had to be put on labor leave due to such a large shift in balance causing her to almost fall one too many times. She played a few chords to the song “Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, she rather liked the song. She played with a bit of fervor near the end before putting it back down and just enjoying the silence of the room for a moment.

Hailey liked to skip. So what did she do on her day off? She skipped. Hailey skipped all around until she was out of breath. Today she wore her "Keep Calm and Be an Alien" t-shirt. Her hair was in a messy pony, and Hailey was overall happy. She skipped to the library, getting yelled at by a few paintings to slow down, and almost bumping into a couple of students on her journey, but did Hailey care? Nope. She didn't care at all! Hailey was a care free person today, and thought that everyone should be carefree all the time! She went around and skipped to the fourth floor, to where she heard a noise.

The noise almost made her sad. It was then she wanted to paint. She thought it was a good reason that she came to the arts and crafts room. But the music was so loud, she was having trouble concentrating what she wanted to do. She was no expert, but she loved to do it to calm the nerves sometimes. She grabbed a smock, and the color plate, and squirted random colors on it. She grabbed a few brushes, but the music was still bothering her. She didn't know the song, and it just sounded like noise.

She slammed her paint brushes down, and went a crossed the hall. There was a girl in there playing the violin. The most annoying instrument ever. The girl couldn't of picked a better one like the piano or something?! Hailey started to yell over the screatching, "CAN YOU KEEP IT DOWN PLEASE, YOU ARE SCARING THE ALIENS." It was true. Sometimes, aliens liked to hide in plain site, but with this music, Hailey didn't think that they would show themselves.
