| Finley was a little bit annoyed that this year's Herbology lessons had been nothing but theoretical. There were very few lessons that didn't require magic, and thus he wanted to excel in those so that nobody could throw him out of Hogwarts. Which was, in all honesty, his worst nightmare.
So, the inquisitive Ravenclaw had decided that he could, possibly, try to see some of the plants for himself. Though, Finley was not brave enough to actually go in to the Greenhouses without a professor, he simply wanted to take a look. Especially seeing as he'd been caught out by Devil's Snare last year, he didn't much want to do that again, especially seeing as he was on his own at the moment.
Finley was pressed up against the window, hands up to his face trying to get a good look inside. There was a smile on his face because he could see a huge array of plants he hadn't been able to grow in the year, but this, this was much cooler than looking at the pictures in the book. And that, for Finley, was saying a lot, because he loved books.
Whilst he was looking, Finley was completely unaware of his surroundings. He wasn't doing anything wrong, so he couldn't get in trouble, he'd made sure of that. But he was lost in a world with the plants inside the greenhouse. |

| Hailey sighed in frustration as she stared in the mirror. It was humid outside, and somehow the humid had come inside and made her hair even more giant than it should be. She was trying to get it situated to where she could at least go out in public and not be completely ignored even by the aliens. That would be the worst. Hailey had some reading to catch up on, and not just for school. She was going to prove to everyone that aliens existed. She had heard that the library seemed to know everything, so she could probably find some books on aliens there. She was going to prove everyone who ever doubted her wrong. If only she could get her hair to cooperate. That would make life so much easier.
She growled in frustration when she tried to put it in a pony tale and the elastic snapped in half. She used the "reparo" spell that she had read about in her charms book, and it fixed it right up. Finally, she got her hair in some sort of bun, and threw on some yoga pants and a house shirt, and skipped down to the library. She didn't want to ask the librarian about any books on aliens because she was afraid of the answer she might get. She searched the shelves she could reach, and found two science fiction books on alien theories. It wasn't proof, but she thought it would make for a good read. She looked out the Window, and saw how beautiful it was outside. It would be a nice day to read outside. She decided to take a shortcut and go through the green house to get to the lake.
She liked the green house, and enjoyed Herbology a lot. When she got there, she saw a familiar figure. It was the boy from the ice cream shop who's voice she made fun of. It was a dark memoryad everytime she tried to burry it, she couldn't. Sometimes she would have nightmares about that dreadful day and wake up with knots in her stomach. The boy was in a couple of her classes but she never had the courage to go up to him and really appologize for the way she acted. Sometimes, Hailey herself thought that she should've been put in Hugflepuff instead of Slytherin. She then made up her mind, and went and tapped the boys shoulder. She asked, "what are you doing?" Maybe now without that horrible girl around, she could finally get some peace with the whole situation. |

| Finley had just spotted the plant of interest and was studying it's movements - perhaps there was a fly or something around because it seemed to be rather active. Watching it with a great interest, Finley did not hear someone 'sneaking' up on him. So when his shoulder was touched, the Ravenclaw jumped out of skin, letting out a small yelp, turning towards the source of contact.
Almost thankful that it wasn't a teacher, Finley let out half a sigh as his right hand came up to his chest as if pressing it would slow down the hammering of his heart in that moment.
It took Finley a moment to realise that the girl had asked him a question. Swallowing a little, Finley looked back to the window he'd just vacated, deciding that the truth was the best way to move forward in that moment.
"I w-was looking at the V-Venomous Tentactula..." The boy explained, his tone already very sheepish as he admitted that much. "I w-wasn't doing anything w-wrong." He added, because he didn't want the girl running off trying to get him in to trouble. Really, he should have been bolder, he was older after all. But since the witch had made fun of him, he felt a little vulnerable around her. |
