She was born to Lauren and Henry Smith, a muggle couple and was their only child. She loved her parents very much and they were always very supporting of the fact that she was a witch. Every summer she'd go back to them and spent all her holidays there. Her friends had also used to visit her house and stay with her as her parents accepted everything about her new world. They were killed by death eaters in the summer before her fifth year and she'd spent a year without them. The house was still there and they'd left her large amounts of money but after their death she'd become more subdued and had drawn into herself a bit more.
