| The world is full of miracles.
Some as important as surviving a dark time, some as insignificant as receiving a bonus. Money meant nothing when love was not there. And Veronika knew this. She taught because her heart was with these children. She couldn't imagine a job as anything but a teacher. She ran a hand through her hair, or the fringe rather that framed her face. She was dressed in her usual teacher garb, though excitement was thrumming in her body. She was back at it! Jake was watching Ivan while she ran her class. Though, she needed to combine all her years, just for the sake of convenience so that she could watch Ivan for long considering Jake had more responsibilities.
She smiled as she noted that class was to begin soon.
Her lesson plan was fairly simple, nothing elaborate, but she was already starting to get into human transfiguration, what better way to unnerve and remind her students of how painstakingly awkward it was to be alive than to test their knowledge of each subsection possible of transfiguration?
"Good morning, students!" She exclaimed grinning, "I'm glad to see you all back, and I urge you all to brace yourselves. I will try not to mend too many of these classes together, but while my baby is still a baby some of you may experience quite a long time in this synthesis of all years." She took a sip from her coffee. God she missed the caffeine.
"Today is a review for all years and houses before in the next classes I will be splitting you all up to work on individual projects; you will be divided by houses, not years. I want inner-house mingling as much as the other, but I think it's more important that within the houses there is a greater sense of loyalty and unity." Her tone took on a warning note. "I don't want to hear any complaints about this grouping method either, talk about it amongst your peers, I don't care for your jilted impressions of my methods." She sipped her coffee again.
"Now, can anyone tell me the formula for transfiguration?" She asked.

| With a soft yawn, TJ had rolled out of bed that morning. Stretching out, he enjoyed the soft crack of his joints before padding across the room for a shower. Today was going to be a long day of lessons, he was quite sure of that much. Living under the influence of the full moon was stressful at best, and being in his last year of Hogwarts, TJ knew it wasn't going to get any easier, either.
Moving back to his bed after his shower and getting dressed, TJ checked his timetable and smiled a little. Transfiguration was not a bad subject, and the rumour going on was that Professor Hollands was back now. That much made things better, Professor Hollands was a great teacher, and having her back for his final year was a bonus.
As he slipped in to the room, TJ took up a seat in the middle of the classroom, and kept his head down. Whilst he was not stupid, he was also not the brightest of students either, and the question the professor had posed was one he didn't remember the answer to, though he knew he should have known. |

| Hailey LOVED Transfiguration. Professor Newbury had taught them quiet a lot, but she was so glad that Professor Hollands was back! She wore her hair up in a high pony, and made her way to the classroom. Transfiguration was again, one of the many she would take. She took a seat, and the Professor started teaching. The formula for transfiguration... Hailey knew this...
She had remembered reading it in her book the night before, but couldn't quiet remember it enough to say it out loud. Then it clicked. She bolted her hand up and didn't wait for the professor to call on her. She said, "If I may professor, the formula is t=(wxc) divided by (vxa)x Z, standing for viciousness, body weight, wand power, concentration, and Z is the unknown variable. " Hailey nodded content with her answer.
She hoped to outshine all of her peers this semester. And why she wasn't put in Ravenclaw, she didn't know. |

| Oddly enough, Cooper wasn't taking this class like he had thought. When he had decided to follow Cooper to Transfiguration, Cooper had said he was going to Potions instead. Confused, Alfie made his way to the Transfiguration classroom. It was a subject that he enjoyed, and he wouldn't let his brother ruining his experience get in the way of that. He nodded at the Professor as he came in, still quiet bummed that Cooper wasn't with him. He would surely write to their mother about this one. He would also tell her how Cooper had changed in the past month, and how he didn't like it at all.
Cooper had a knack for listening to his mother. So maybe his mother could knock some sense into him, and make him stop being mean to Alfie. But at the same time, Alfie did need to learn to not be around his brother all the time, so one class without him wouldn't hurt. It would be the fact that if Cooper continued his behavior he would have to say something.
Alfie knew the answer to the question, but a Slytherin girl had gotten to the answer before Alife could because he was so distracted with Cooper. He needed to stop and pay attention. He was loosing house points here! |

| With her A+ attitude in mind, Zoey made her way to her next class. She wasn't as excited for this one as she was the others, but trying something different was on her "become something new" list. She didn't mean literally, but if this was were her path was taking her, then so be it. Zoey made it just in time.
Today, her hair was in a messy side braid. She had learned a couple hairstyles from some muggle friends she had met over the summer, and was quiet proud of her new look. She wore a smile on her face, and jumped into her seat when she got there. She was surprised that the Professor had already started.
When the professor asked the question, her mind went completely blank. She didn't know the answer. She had forgotten to read. She had forgotten her life's work! Zoey put her head on her desk, and sighed. This day just turned into her worst nightmare. |

| Lux made her way to the transfigiration classroom. It wasn't her favorite subject but it wasn't her most hated either. That particular sentiment belonged to potions. Transfigiration just required more mental capabilities and concentration which suited her just fine.
She entered the classroom and noted that she was right on time. Perfect. She took her seat and listened as the professor greeted the class. Well, someone is happy today she thought sarcastically. She pushed it out as the woman carried on speaking, explaining how they were going to be grouped. She had no complaints about that, preferring to stick with those of her own house than the other pathetic houses.
Lux perked up when the professor posed the question to the class. She knew the answer to this. Just as she was going to raise her hand, another girl spoke up and she swore under her breath, calling her all sorts of inventive insults nobody but she could come up with. Lux narrowed her eyes at the girl. At least she was in the same house as her. That abated her anger a miniscule amount. You're lucky we're in the same house. If not you'll be a miserable crying heap of flesh by the time I'm done with you. |

| Transfiguration was one of the more challenging subjects, in Lucy's opinion. Although she was certain that she probably wasn't the only one to think that. It required a great deal of concentration to transfigure something completely, and she'd previously had tonnes of trouble with the practical side. Theory however was her strong suit. Lucy just wasn't cut out to properly do practical things, but she could remember methods and the names of certain spells. The only subject where she was skilled in it practically was potions.
She made her way into the classroom, and found an empty seat, and gave a nod to the teacher. The teacher had asked for the formula, and while Lucy knew the answer, she sat back and let another answer. Instead, Lucy focussed on readying her notes for the lesson, and skimming over parts that she had read thoroughly the night before in the text book. |

| Transfiguration was one subject Violet only did because she had to. She enjoyed the practical aspect of it, but the theory, all the memorising was positively draining. But, each subject helped, and considering that this class in particular was melded with the younger years, she assumed that they'd at least start off with simpler topics.
She walked into the classroom, taking her usual seat at the back of the class, and took no notice of the question posed by the teacher, nor the girl who had given the answer. It was simple, as she had predicted it would be. But, for the moment, she wasn't complaining. Instead, she sat back in her seat, leaving her books unopened on the desk, knowing that this class would most likely be an absolute breeze. All she had to do now was wait for the teacher to begin teaching, and soon enough, it'd be over. |

| Knowing that Professor Hollands was back made Finley very happy. The professor had helped him before she went off to have her baby to learn about Animagi. He'd learnt in her absence, and was now very close to completing a full transfiguration. Finley wanted to discuss it with her, truth be told, but found himself continually nervous about trying to approach her.
Especially with the new baby.
Though, first, Finley needed to get his backside to class, which he was struggling to do at the moment. Once again Finley found himself cutting it fine too. Though, today he was not late as he slipped through the door just on time, a smile on his features when he saw the Professor. Hurrying to a seat, Finley pulled his book out, waiting for the lesson to begin.
When it did, Finley raised his hand to answer, but someone else got there first, so he put it back down, waiting for the professor to ask the next question. |
