| Aaron was held to no restrictions during the summer. Stay to Diagon Alley and you'll be fine was his motto. Today he decided to hang around Wizz Hard Books. The young Ravenclaw went inside and was pleased to find that it was mostly deserted. He browsed the shelves casually not really looking past the title. He went to one of the back shelves and pulled a thick black leather bound book off the shelf. Flicking open to the first couple of pages, he smiled. It was a book full of spells to help a common prankster or someone looking for trouble. A small grin spread across his face as he continued to flick the through the pages. He heard the shop door open and close and footsteps. He closed the book with a decisive snap and examined the book s around the empty gap where he had just pulled the book from. As he was bent scanning the books on the lower shelves he dropped the one in his hand with an almighty thud.
Swearing loudly, he bent to pick it up and in doing so found his head hitting the shelf. Getting tired with making such a ruckus he stood up rubbing his head. Aaron turned to go back towards the front when he found that someone he had seen around Hogwarts was not far from him. He held his forehead in his hands, the book tucked up under his arm said, "Oh er.... Well hello." |

| Books weren't her forte. She much preferred watching movies or shows that only took up a couple hours and not days of her time. Why bother reading when she could see it happening instead? No, Madison never understood the lure of books, although, to be fair, information they provided could sometimes not be gathered anywhere else. Reading, therefore, was something she did as a means to gather knowledge and nothing more; that mean fiction was usually out of the question.
The only reason Madison was in the bookstore, then, was the only person she cared for that wasn't (yet) family - Finley Allen, her boyfriend. He had been reading some muggle fiction series, and while she had no interest whatsoever in the topic, she wanted to experience what he enjoys, so that she could make conversation with him about it later on. That was why she had a small list, both of books she needed for the next school year as well as a shorter one of books to read for Finley's sake.
Moving down the aisles, she couldn't help but notice there was another familiar face present. An older student, from Finley's house, and she raised an eyebrow at what he was doing. Graceful, she thought, sarcastically, just about to move on when he turned and spotted her. She held back a sigh at his greeting. Dipping her head slightly in an acknowledgment. "Hello," she replied, but said nothing more; what was there to say to this nobody? |

| It didn't occur to Aaron that he could easily run into someone from Hogwarts, but he didn't expect to see someone That he had no intentions of ever speaking to before. It was none other, than the Slytherin girl everyone talked about. Upon discovering this realization Aaron mentally smacked himself. Why would he ever talk to her, of all people. He didn't fit in with her crowd and he knew it. Might as well make the best of it. he thought ruefully as he held his head where he had hit it on the shelf.
"Well, i would never have thought i would run into someone like you, in a place like this." He taunted. The Ravenclaw loved messing with people and making them angry. It was one of his specialties. His eyes leveled with hers and he raised one eyebrow slightly. How far could he go until she exploded? He wondered. |

| Raising her eyebrows at the words that he sent her way, she wondered briefly what his issue was. Had she done him some wrong before? It took a moment to go through the list of people she had purposely set out against, but when she was done, Maddie was sure he wasn't on it. Perhaps Melody...? But that was also a no; the two exchanged notes on a daily basis, and there was no Aaron on it, unless she was getting the name of the male wrong.
Certain that the male had not been on either her or her sister's list, Madison allowed a confused look to play on her features, matching the raising of eyebrows she had done earlier. "Someone like me?" she repeated, a ring of uncertainty in her tone. "I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean."
That last part, at the very least, was somewhat true; she could not figure out the intentions of the male. If he thought for a moment, though, that he was getting to her in any way - be it sexual or romantic or whatever else the poor boy had thought of in that warped head of his - he was wrong. But, what he was getting wrong, Madison didn't know; she was, however, damn well going to find out. And then? Well, and then she'd play him in his own game, of course. |
