Almost always has on either his green or red pairs of converse sneakers, only wears different shoes if he's hiking or going to a nice event. When he has to dress up prefers bow ties over regular ones, and doesn't really mind if he stands out. Favorite colors to wear are green, purple, red or dark pink, blue, and orange.

Humphrey has always been fun and energetic, and even though he's quirky and a bit odd he actually enjoys seeing the world differently instead of being ashamed or feeling weird because of it. Sure, kids that he went to muggle school with would make fun of him or call him a freak, but instead of letting it get to him he would either reply with a witty joke or give them a smile and a shrug. He even pulled an occasional good-natured prank, making sure there was never a risk of anybody getting hurt. The people his age at the school didn't understand him, and he accepted that fact.
He was also smart and rather creative. Sometimes he would draw places from his imagination, other times he would write short stories, and he was content to find things to do on his own and be independent. Also really loved reading, and singing along to the radio or his favorite CD's. When he had the opportunity to hang out with his sister Casey, though, he often took it. She was his best friend, and the way she always kept a good attitude and brought out the best in others was something he truly admired about her. Humphrey was also protective of her, and looks out for her whenever he can. Loyal to her, as she is the only person he trusts with everything. His parents he loves as well, but she will probably always be the one he trusts the most.

Humphrey always pushed himself in his classes at muggle school growing up, and read through books of all sorts when he wasn't enjoying the outdoors. When he was seven he even started to write short stories of his own, eventually coming up with an idea for a series of books. His family had moved to Edinburgh when he was four, so he only really remembers their home with lots of space and even a small pond. There were plenty of trees to climb and paths to hike, and sometimes he would fill a backpack with a book or two, a snack, and his notebooks to write in. When he turned eight he even started to get into running when he got an mp3 player for his birthday. His mom had taught him how to put music on it and once he got his favorite bands on there he would even lose track of time while running if he didn't pay attention to the time.
Easily one of the most influential people in his life was his little sister Casey. She had blonde hair and blue eyes like their mum, while he had his father's dark hair and brown eyes. Whenever he needed a person to talk to, he could always rely on her. Casey was incredibly kind, optimistic, and even more joyful and energetic than he was himself at times. His little sister was only a little over a year younger than him, so aside from his first year at school she always went home with him. The kids were much kinder to her than to him, but instead of ditching him she actually told them off for being mean. One of the most amazing things to him was the way she brought out the best in people without even trying. In turn, he was rather protective of her though he knew she was capable of taking care of herself. No matter how busy they got they always made time to spend with each other.
Both Casey and him shared the responsibility of taking care of a red husky named Alice. She was a beautiful animal with a light reddish orange coat, who would often accompany him on his runs. Humphrey loved the dog, but it was clear Alice, while she liked Humphrey, really felt that Casey was her master. The two of them were only apart when Casey had to keep up with her other responsibilities like schoolwork, or chores.
When he got his letter for Hogwarts he wasn't surprised, his father had told him about it and explained that he'd had a few bouts of accidental magic growing up. Humphrey remembered the times that it happened, the first being him levitating a story he wanted his mum to read him before bed. Another instance was when he accidentally turned the color of their pet husky to a periwinkle color, which was rather amusing. It was exciting, the idea of going to the place where his father had also gone. The stories he told about it made it seem like a truly amazing place to be.
The only thing he was not looking forward to was being away from Casey. She would be joining him soon enough, he knew, as he'd seen her perform magic as well. However, it was going to be a challenge not having her there to ask for advice when he needed it. His father got him an owl for his birthday, a beautiful tawny that looked up to the task of delivering letters back home. Knowing he could write to Casey did help, although he would still miss her.
His first semester was by far the toughest for him, but once he got over the homesickness he actually made a few friends. Even at Hogwarts he still thought he was among the odder people, though. His brain just operated on a different wavelength. Most didn't make fun of him for it, which was a blessing. Humphrey regularly wrote home to Casey and she would always reply promptly. The classes were, in his opinion, rather fun and interesting. Sometimes other students would complain about it the work, but he actually loved it.
By the time Christmas rolled around he was so excited he nearly forgot to pack his trunk. As soon as he got home he was tackle-hugged by Casey, which he didn't mind at all. They went upstairs and he spent all the time before dinner telling her about all the things she could look forward to. For her Christmas gift, he pulled out a map he had drawn in charcoal of the inside of the school. The classes and floors were neatly labeled, and even a few shortcuts he'd discovered were listed. However, he had also done a sketch of the outside of the school and the grounds, with the lake in it as well. That one he had done in colored pencils he'd brought along, and he rather liked how it had turned out. A minute of her simply staring at it made him worry he'd messed up, but then she nearly hugged the life out of him and said thank you. The rest of the Christmas had been fun, and he reminded himself that before he knew it summer would be here.
The next months flew by, and after the long exams to ensure they'd learned something during the year he returned home for the summer. Humphrey and Casey spent it together, and a lot of their days were spent swimming in the pond or going on adventures in the surrounding woods fighting imaginary creatures. Sometimes he would tell her about a magical creature he'd learned about and incorporate it into their games. With the help of their mom, they even built a tree house they could enjoy. As the summer wound down, he tried to study some of his books for his second year of Hogwarts in advance, so he would be prepared.

Jane and Henry met at a convention on medicine in London. Although Henry was a mind healer and wizard he always wanted to learn more about how the mind worked. There were things he suspected the muggles knew more about than even wizards. Jane was there because although she was only a nurse she wanted to learn more about all things medical. She felt it was her duty to educate herself on the different types of treatments for all sorts of diseases, that way if she saw a doctor make a mistake she could hopefully catch it and save a life. They bumped into each other at one of the lectures on psychology, and as they got to talking found that there was a chemistry there that was undeniable.
After three years of dating, they got married, and once they got settled down had their two children Humphrey and Case. Since both of them work fairly well paying jobs, their family is is upper middle class. They were rather happy with the property they found in Edinburgh, and how much their kids loved enjoying the great outdoors. Too many kids, according to Jane, just didn't know how to enjoy themselves without electronics these days. The pair are still deeply in love, and it is unlikely that will ever change.
