Casey Williams Rsz_ge10
Full Name: Casey Sarah Williams
Age: 11
Date of birth: (30, June, 2008)
Birthplace: London, England
Current home: Edinburgh, Scotland
Blood Status: Halfblood
Sexual Alignment: Heterosexual
Wand type: (10 and 1/2 inches, Unicorn Tail Core, Laurel)

Casey Williams Rsz_ap10
Hair colour and style: A darker shade of blonde, and she wears it shorter than most girls to keep it up out of the way.
Eye colour: Blue
Height: 4'10
Body type: Rather thin but fast, and stronger than she looks from all the chasing after Humphrey and her dog Alice in addition to exploring the woods.
Dress sense: When at home Casey is often just in a pair of overalls with her red baseball cap and whatever t-shirt is clean. Definitely prefers bright colors. If they are so dirty or get rips than she wears sturdy jeans or shorts when she can. Is forced to wear dresses by her mum on Sundays, much to her ire. Now that she is going to Hogwarts asked to get some other pairs of long pants and a wider variety of shirts, both short and long sleeved in addition to sweaters. Make up she couldn't care less for, but will use some nice flavored chapstick in winter. Oddly enough, her only thing aside from her hat she is attached to is her favorite pair of shoes. While Humphrey is attached to his converse she has her own pair, but got them white so she could draw on them and make them her own. She colored it in with different shapes and small pictures, before filling in the blank areas with a light gray to make it pop out.
Birthmarks: On the bottom of her left foot there's a large freckle that she's had for as long as she can remember, and her mum told her it was a birthmark.
Tattoos:N/A
Scars:An assortment of small cuts on her arms and legs that aren't too noticable, as they were just from thorns, tall grass, or thin branches when climbing tress. The only one that sticks out is a long, jagged cut on her right leg, that starts at the ankle and goes about halfway up her calf. That one she got from a piece of barbed wire hidden in the grass at the edge of their property.
Piercings: N/A

Her parents lived in London until Humphrey was four, and she was two, at which time they decided to move up to Scotland. Both Casey and her brother were excited about all the extra space to play in, and they even had a small pond they could swim in once they were old enough. It had the added benefit of being a much quieter place to raise a family for them.

Casey and her big brother had made excellent use of the space in Edinburgh over the years, running around chasing each other and climbing trees when their mother was too busy to scold them for it. From time to time Humphrey or Casey would come up with silly, harmless pranks to keep things fun. Probably the most entertaining one was when Humphrey had did some studying and figured out how to make a chemical reaction. Both of them were told they'd have to go to muggle school until old enough for Hogwarts. But anyways, the muggle chemistry had discovered an easy way to make a simple, harmless orange foam when mixed together. The two of them had set it up where Humphrey had placed it, and when he had left she simply had to pour one vial of a fluid into the other and then run before the foam started expanding. They'd planned it to do it at the top of the stairs, just off to one side, and it had worked exactly as planned. The orange foam had eventually started falling down the stairs, and when their dad came home from work and their mom had gotten back with the groceries, they had simply been sitting quietly in the kitchen reading. Both of them shared a love of books. Their father had seen it first, and burst into laughter. Mom, however, thought it wasn't funny at first, and told them to clean it up. By the time the two of them had cleaned up the mess, though, their mom was laughing along right with their father. The two of them had been completely covered in orange bubbles and foam, which they'd rinsed off in the yard.

It was moments like that which had helped her enjoy her childhood, and she'd made a few muggle friends as well. Her brother would always be her favorite, though. Even though he tried to act grown-up and use his 'logical Ravenclaw side', as he would put it, she could always find a way to tease him out of it and get him to do silly things with her. Casey even convinced him one time to bring him back some joke items they could use for pranks, which were absolutely brilliant in her opinion. Sometimes her mother would try to get her to behave more ladylike, instead of like a tomboy; but, Casey was stubborn on that issue and would only sit still and behave for up to an hour or so before running off.

When Humphrey had left for Hogwarts, they had gotten her a reddish-orange colored husky that they even let her name. After a lot of thought, she had eventually named the Husky after one of her favorite characters in fiction, Alice from the Lewis Carroll stories Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. She'd gotten her as a puppy, and though it could never replace her brother, the dog was a better companion for her than most of the kids at school were in her opinion. It's not that she disliked them, more that she knew she could never tell them about the magical world and could never be herself. With Alice, she could be herself and not worry about revealing a secret by accident.

One other thing that Casey liked to enjoy, aside from reading and running around with Alice, was drawing. Whether it was with crayons, colored pencils, or occasionally trying a painting she simply loved creating her own pictures. Her imagination created some truly unique places, and everybody in her family thought that she had a gift when it came to her art. Probably her favorite pictures were the ones Humphrey had helped her come up with ideas for. Although he couldn't draw well at all he had a vivid imagination and gave her good ideas when he was there to help.

Sometimes Humphrey would even read her a story when it was time for bed. It had started when she was a little kid, before she was old enough to read for herself. However, both of them had decided to continue it when he was home because they still enjoyed reading. It could be a challenge sometimes because Humphrey would sometimes try a story where girls and boys liked each other, which was disgusting in her opinion. But, they always managed to find a compromise. It was comforting to her to snuggle up with him and listen to his voice, because although some things changed other things would always be the same. And one of those things was that Casey knew Humphrey would always care for her and be there if she needed him.

Compared to Humphrey, Casey is much more comfortable around groups of people. She doesn't like to be the center of attention, but she doesn't mind being stuck in classes close to other people or attending parties where it might feel crowded. Probably the best way to describe Casey is somebody who knows how to have fun, and she finds a way to bring the people around her along with most of the time.

One of the things she does when she doesn't know what to say (admittedly rare), is she simply sucks her lips in a little and thinks, so she doesn't say anything rashly that could be hurtful. If she does get mad, she will probably do that when she's trying to calm down and think of a kinder way to answer. Also has a tendency to pick at the laces of her high-top running shoes, especially when feeling nervous. She wears them almost all the time, and they are familiar to her. In some way they comfort her, like some kids have a blanket or stuffed animal that is special to them and helps them feel safe.

Jane and Henry met at a convention on medicine in London. Although Henry was a mind healer and wizard he always wanted to learn more about how the mind worked. There were things he suspected the muggles knew more about than even wizards. Jane was there because although she was only a nurse she wanted to learn more about all things medical. She felt it was her duty to educate herself on the different types of treatments for all sorts of diseases, that way if she saw a doctor make a mistake she could hopefully catch it and save a life. They bumped into each other at one of the lectures on psychology, and as they got to talking found that there was a chemistry there that was undeniable.

After three years of dating, they got married, and once they got settled down had their two children Humphrey and Casey. Since both of them work fairly well paying jobs, their family is is upper middle class. They were rather happy with the property they found in Edinburgh, and how much their kids loved enjoying the great outdoors. Too many kids, according to Jane, just didn't know how to enjoy themselves without electronics these days. The pair are still deeply in love, and it is unlikely that will ever change.

PostSubject: Spill the Beans (Start of 2019 summer hols)   Casey Williams EmptySun Aug 14, 2016 7:48 pm

Casey was driving her parents crazy, and it was with no small amount of effort that they convinced her to go outside and spend time with Alice, her beloved red husky. Usually, this wasn't something that took convincing, but Humphrey was going to be home soon so she was more high energy than she regularly was. Not wanting to disobey her parents, the young girl went to go and play. The next few hours consisted of her taking Alice for a run, feeding her lunch before getting her own, and ended with her drawing little cartoons in a sketchbook. That took place in the absolute best area of the property, her and Humphrey's tree house.

Jane and Henry took the opportunity to go and get him at King's Cross, content with the basic wards around the house stopping any issues in addition to knowing she was responsible. Casey didn't know anything about it, but while she was busy they had made it back home, no problems whatsoever. Both her and Alice's ears perked up when they heard Humphrey's voice in addition to her mum and dad's, taking off in the direction of the house. Not slowing down, she slammed into him and in the process took them to the grass, Alice taking the opportunity to give his face a tongue bath. Their parents merely chuckled and brought his truck in, leaving their son to fend for himself.

"You're back! Tell me everything, Humphy." she told him, eventually pulling Alice off of him and getting up so he could stand. Before he could respond though, she grabbed him with both arms and started dragging him back towards their tree house. "Not here, I don't want any interruptions. Climb." she ordered, once they'd gotten to the foot of where the boards were drilled into the tree securely, making their ladder.

Humphrey had merely laughed and hugged her and Alice, giving both some scratches behind the ears since she was acting quite similar to her husky companion. "Nice to see you too, little sis. I see we'll have to start training you on how to be polite again." he teased her, taking off her cap and putting it on his head before climbing up like it was nothing. The extra length on his arms and legs really helped when reaching the steps, and he pushed open the door before finding his favorite spot. Some might find it precarious, after all, it was a hammock slung between two branches of a tree, a good twenty feet or so off the ground, only accessible by hopping into it from a gap in the boards they'd made; but, for him, it was home. Once Casey found him, he tossed the cap back to her with a smirk.

Casey had pouted and scrambled up after him quickly when he stole her hat. "That's a criminal offense!" she shouted, soon up in their tree house as well. Instead of protesting, the hat hit her in the chest and she stuck it securely back on her head, pushing it down a little further than normal. "You better start talking, Humpty Dumpty. You've barely written at all since Christmas, and I want answers. Spill the beans." she told him, sitting in a beanbag chair beside the opening in the boards and looking into his eyes.

Knowing he was in for the inquisition, he ran his fingers through his hair nervously, messing it up even more. Humphrey felt the walls he'd put up to hold his hurt in break down at the sight of his sister's blue eyes and tears started falling. "It's..b-because of Brooklyn, the girl from Madam Malkin's." he started, pausing to take a few breaths and hiccuping a little in the process, before he continued. "Well, around Christmas she ended up in the hospital. That's why she couldn't visit us. I went to visit her, and we talked about things, told her we could try for another time." Humphrey explained, before the tears started slipping faster down his cheeks. "We even decided to try being boyfriend and girlfriend Casey. But, after that....I haven't heard from her, not even an owl or anything. It...really hurt, I miss her so much, Casey." he said, his voice breaking at the end of that sentence. "I needed you so badly, but putting that in a letter, I just couldn't." he told her, curling up into a ball as the hammock swung back and forth. Instead of the usual smooth swings, it moved in jerks and bounces, evidence of him trying to control himself and failing miserably.

At first, Casey was angry, not a feeling she was too familiar with. As he kept talking, her expression softened, and she felt his pain and loss because she was so worried about him. Her parents probably knew something, but figured it was her brother's secret to share. "That won't do at all. Move over." she told him, making him look up at her curiously. "You heard me, make some room Humphy." she repeated, before hopping in next to him. Her hat she'd taken off and set on a small wooden table in the tree house, so it wouldn't slip off. Once she was settled in, she hugged him tight and nestled her head under his arm as the hammock began to swing back and forth, more smoothly than it had been. "I'm sorry Humphy, I...I actually liked her too." she admitted. "Though I'm denying if you tell anyone that." Casey added.

Humphrey looked at her in shock a small smile appearing on his face, even though it was rather sad. Her response was so surprising, but somehow also so like her that he wondered why he was surprised at all. She was so caring, in spite of the fact her stomach turned at the mention of relationships. "Thanks Case." he said, kissing the top of her head and holding her tight. "I love you so much, sis." Humphrey said, not something they regularly told each other. It was something that was obvious, but this was one moment he needed to remind her.

Upon hearing her nickname and that he loved her, Casey knew that with time her brother would be alright. "I love you too, you big softie." she said quietly, content with listening to the sounds of the animals and insects in the other trees, and the rustling of the leaves from the light summer breeze.
