| Summer was a time to relax and with Maya's fifteenth birthday come and gone, the young witch was spending her time at Diagon, mostly window shopping but sometimes slipping through an open door into a shop to buy whatever caught her fancy. The young woman already had three bags full and she had to ask a kind lady to shrink them down for her so that she could hide them away in a pocket instead of being forced to walk around with bags weighing her down.
Slipping out of another shop, Maya sucked on the straw of her ice-cold drink, enjoying the freezing temperature of the juice as it slid down her throat, cooling her right down. The weather in London at the time was fairly high and even with the cooling charms her brother had charmed her clothes with, Maya was still fairly warm.
Jumping down the last step, she expertly moved through the throngs of people to find herself in front of yet another shop, this one catering to toddlers and children and Maya twitched with the want to go in. Will's and Rebekah's birthdays weren't for a while but she loved to spoil her cousins. |
