Craving something sweet (Aaron)

Dakota was craving something sweet and sugary. She stepped into the kitchens and watched as the House elves surrounded her asking what they could make for her. She smiled down at them.

She always had a weakspot for the cute little creatures. "Well hello to you guys too. I do not know exactly what i want, but I am craving sugar. Why don't you guys surprise me?" She smiled as they all hurried to begin making her her special treat.

She looked around and saw that no one else was down here besides the House Elves. She wondered if they ever actually left the kitchens or if they were in here all the time. Waiting for more orders from the students and teachers of Hogwarts. It kind of made her feel bad for them. She watched as the hustled and bustled about making something to satisfy her craving sweet tooth.

Food for an empty mind would surely concentrate his focuses, Right? Of course he wasn't exactly sure if that was right, but he was glad to be back at Hogwarts nonetheless. He was actually quite surprised to find that he had been allowed to come back after his break-in at the ministry. He would forever thank Jake for bringing him to the realization that he wouldn't be able to know everything and that sometimes we have to let others take care of somethings.

But that was off topic. He was hungry as he had skipped dinner to study some more for History of Magic. His OWL's weren't looking too promising at the moment and not really what he would have expected from himself. His stomach keeping him from doing anything else but getting food, he snuck down into the Kitchens. Opening the door quietly, he told the already working House Elves that some soup and water would satisfy him. Looking he propped up against the wall and glanced around, his eyes falling on a girl that looked his age, but he hadn't seen her in his house so she definitely wasn't a Ravenclaw. "Didn't think anyone else would be here, to be honest." He called out. Maybe he needed a friend or two here and there, and he only wanted to talk. Friends wouldn't bite, would they?

Dakota was busy playing with the tiny creatures when she heard someone enter the kitchens. At first, she paid no mind to them, as they were probably here for the same reason she was. A late night snack.

So she stayed sitting on the floor, playing with one of the young House elves until she heard the person speak. She saw it was a boy around her age. Probably in her year, but definitely not in her house as she did not recognize him from any of the hufflepuffs she had previously met or seen before.

When he spoke, she locked eyes with his and looked at him curiously, her golden eyes shining a bit in the dim light that the kitchens provided, "Yeah, I just was craving a sweet snack. Dont worry, I wont be much longer." She said just as the head house elf came to her with a big plate of Blondie brownies, her absolute favorite snack.

She bit into the delicious snack and smiled as the sensation of deliciousness spread across her tongue and taste buds, "Would you like one?" She asked the strange boy that had entered. Not that he was strange, she just did not know him. "Im Dakota, by the way."

Aaron didn't know what to think of the girl in front of him to be honest. She seemed kind and all. "No need to rush out, I don't bite." He said simply. He frowned however at the sweets the House Elves had provided her. He took a step forward an eyebrow arched at the offer to her sweets.

"What exactly is it?" He asked as he picked one up gently, afraid that it would crumble at his touch. He took a small bite out of it and smiled. It was pretty good. How had he not heard of these things? "Oh, I'm Aaron." he added. It was strange really, two strangers just meeting and talking like nothing was wrong or there was no rivalries for a house cup going on at all. It was nice.

"These are really good." He said as he put the rest of the sweet in his mouth. Smiling faintly as the sweetness filled his mouth. At that moment, a House Elf came tottering up with soup and a goblet of water, insisting on making him his own plate of the sweets since he liked it so well despite his attempts to stop the small creatures. "Well someone has to help me eat this now. Will you?" He asked Dakota. He was smiling at the House Elves insisting to make him some of his own.

Dakota blushed a bit but nodded, "Alright then. I might stick around a bit longer if that is the case." She said smiling to herself and then up at him. "Youre a ravenclaw right?" She recognized him from maybe one or two of her classes, but she couldnt remember his name.

When he asked exactly what the sweet treat she was offering him was, she told him. "It is called a Blondie. Its a non chocolate brownie. Its quite delicious dont you think?" She watched him take a bit and as his face lit up she assumed that he too enjoyed the treat.

She smiled and laughed when he said they were good, "They are my favorite treat." She said pushing her brown red hair behind her ear. When he asked for help on eating the food the little house elves brought, she smiled softly, "Sure I can be of assistance." Then the creatures kept insisting on making him a plate of blondies, "It would make them happy to make you a plate of them. ill help you eat them if you want." She said fiddling with the ends of her hair and the hem of her shirt.
