Humphrey couldn't help frowning when she made it sound like he forgot Slytherins had feelings and assumed they were all dangerous. He knew that not all of them were bad like everybody thought, hell he'd dated one, and he didn't appreciate her comments. "Naomi, I'm well aware not all Slytherins are dangerous or bad people. Sorry if I'm a bit cautious around them though, the last one I ran into before you nearly got into a fight with a friend I was with at the time." he explained, hoping she would understand that he wasn't simply being prejudiced for no reason.
Upon hearing her say that this was a mistake on her part and asking him not to follow Humphrey felt like he'd been hit hard, and he just stood there stunned for a moment. They'd been having a nice conversation and he'd ruined it, all because he said some stupid things. He wanted to go after her and try to make friends with Naomi, but she clearly didn't want to be around him and as much as he didn't like that he would respect it. "Goodbye, then." he mumbled to himself, the girl already having ran away from him. Eventually he finished the rest of his run and went back inside the castle, in much lower spirits than when he'd left.
