| Victoria was not lucky when it came to dating, she'd noticed a pattern in this throughout her time of being an adult. Men came, men went. They never really seemed to stick around her too long. For whatever reason, they left, not that Victoria took it too much to heart. Her niece and nephew were the centre point of her life, along with her brother at the moment. What with him having a rocky patch, she didn't want him to lose his way.
And then, of course, there was work.
Perhaps it wasn't really her fault that she lost touch with the men she'd met over the last couple of years, perhaps she hadn't been fully submerged in keeping in contact with them, and they'd simply decided that they no longer wanted to wait for her.
These were the thoughts Victoria was mulling over as she sat in a booth in the Leaky Cauldron that lunch time, a plate of chips and chicken nuggets in front of her, and a glass of Butterbeer beyond it. A book was in Victoria's free hand, her eyes scanning over the pages with a small smile on her lips. Reading was a great release and The Dagger & Coin series was one she was enjoying thoroughly. So much so, she'd forgotten where she was, and lost track of her surroundings completely. ________________________________________________ | |
