| The illness that Victoria had contracted had put a new light on many things in her life. The most important was the lack of experiences that she'd had with pretty much everything, except for books. But, another thing that she had learned was that she really did not wish to burden anyone. That had been why over four months ago, when Victoria had come back round from what had been thought to be a deadly illness, she had told Zander that she could no longer ask him to wait for her.
It had been difficult, of course, to ask someone you loved and cared for deeply, to abandon you when you needed all the support in the world, but Victoria had always been a witch of great strength. So, despite the tears that had slipped down her cheeks for a few weeks to come, Victoria knew it was the best decision for both of them.
However, it was not a moping life that Victoria had led. No, she had rehabilitated herself with help from her family, gotten back on her feet, and slowly, but surely regained her strength both magically and otherwise. She'd worked closely with the doctors and nurses at St Mungos to make sure the cure had every opportunity to be spread around those who needed it. And, as always, Victoria studied hard for her law degree with an unfaltering determination to be the best she could be.
Victoria, though, had something of a new agenda. Now that she was clear of a relapse, and strong enough to be on her own, Victoria had taken to a bar in Scotland. Well, a night club, actually, not a bar. Bars were, in truth, quite boring. There was no social life in a bar unless you knew others. So, with a few of her female friends, Victoria had descended on the bar at the opening time, and had been drinking without regret the whole time.
Her attire for the evening was only just a reminder that Victoria was still her, but she had allowed her friends to aid in the final decision, meaning Victoria did not look quite as innocent as usual. Mixed with the fact Victoria was unsuitably drunk even in her own mind, the young witch was having fun dancing with anyone, and everyone to the very loud music in the club.
Tonight would be good, because it was new, and Victoria had decided that no was not an answer she would use... unless absolutely necessary. ________________________________________________

| It was yet another night for Eros. Nothing new for the man here, since the day he had started working at Hogwarts. He was busy alright, and the only way he could release himself from all the stress was this. Drinking and women he could take to bed. He got his pleasure and then he was back to doing his job as the Astronomy Professor. The night was his home, and he lover every moment of it.
Dressed casually in a pair of dark jeans, a grey t-shirt and his leather jacket, Eros walked down the streets of England, ready to go to his usual getaway. A nice bar, full of women he could seduce and have his fun with, plus, the drinks. Making his way inside, the sound of the music hitting him instantly along with the booze. Women were grinding their bodies against any and everyone in the club, and a smirk touched the man's lips. Today was probably going to be easy for him.
Ordering a glass of Vodka for himself, Eros got comfortable in one of the stools, and allowed himself to scan the room, ready to find his next victim. He was the predator and the prey was somewhere in here. And that was when his eyes landed on the most beautiful brunette he had ever had the chance to see. She was young, with long brown locks and exceptionally beautiful, yet something was telling him that she did not fit in here. Not like the rest of the people inside the building, including himself.
Motioning to the bartender, Eros ordered a Cosmo for the girl, and watched as the man slowly brought the drink to her. A smile touched his lips, but it was not his usual dark smirk. He was intrigued, and he had to satisfy that interest. |

| Victoria's friends (and herself, though Victoria was not overly aware) had been holding the attention of a number of men that evening. A number had come to dance with them throughout the evening, but Victoria's friends were more experienced in the art of pulling themselves out of harms way, moving away from the men who were obviously trying to get a lucky night with them. They had, of course, made a pact before they came out, that unless Mr Right just happened to turn up, they would go home together, safely.
Victoria was quite happy dancing, more than a little bit drunk by the fact her cheeks were flushed a pretty pink. It was only the pull of getting themselves another refreshment that brought Victoria away from the dance floor. When the witch managed to get to the bar (teetering on her toes to make herself more visible to the bar man) a drink was already waiting for her - not her usual one. The note of confusion must have been evident in her face, for the bar man motioned down the bar to a man sat on his own.
Victoria smiled as she took the man in - he was definitely a handsome man, older than herself by... maybe five years? Victoria wasn't really a good judge of ages, truth be told.
"Victoria?" Emma broke through the look, and Victoria turned around to see her friends looking at her in wonderment.
"Yes?" Victoria responded over the sound, glass in hand.
"Come on, let's get back to the dance floor!" Bethany insisted, and Victoria smiled a moment before hesitating.
"I have to say thank you to... the man who bought me this." Victoria insisted, before insisting she would be right over. Slipping through the crowd that was amalgamating around the bar, Victoria made her way to the stranger who had bought her drink. Her cheeks were flushed - more so now from mild embarrassment, but a little still from the dancing.
"Thank you for the drink!" Victoria called over the music, leaning in a little closer to make sure he could hear her. "My name's Victoria, by the way." The witch added, she was a social butterfly, and this man seemed nice to her, so where was the harm in a conversation? Victoria couldn't see any harm in it as she sipped her drink to show she really did appreciate it. The taste of Vodka touched her lips, and Victoria's eyes widened momentarily, but the taste a moment later was pleasant enough. "What is this?" She added, because really, she wasn't sure what he'd given her. ________________________________________________

| Eros had his eyes on her. The girl looked so young and innocent, that the smile that appeared on his lips just by admiring her couldn't be hidden. She was young, having fun with her friends, it seemed, and to be honest, the moment she started making her way towards him, Eros felt kind of nervous. Just for a mere second, before going back to the usual cool attitude he had around women. Truthfully, he had not expected her to come and talk to him. Maybe it was the fact that she just seemed way too princess like to talk to a stranger. Nevertheless, she was right in front of him now, and Eros didn't hold himself back from giving her a charming smile.
"Thank you for the drink!"
Eros chuckled softly, but the girl wouldn't be able to hear over the blasting music. She was even more beautiful from up close, and the wizard did allow himself to run his eyes over her body, rather discreetly though. He didn't have an intention of scaring her. He only wanted to take a closer look. She was young, much younger than him, he believed, and maybe that would end up to be a problem. Not for him, but for her. Most girls her age did not feel comfortable with older men. Or that was what he believed, at least.
"My name's Victoria, by the way."
"You are very welcome, Victoria. I am Eros Vitali." The man introduced himself, his Italian accent prominent at that point. He always knew when to use his accent, and usually it worked magic on women. Why would Victoria be any different?
As she sipped some of the drink he bought her, Eros licked his lips, unable to stop himself from imagining so many things with those lips of hers. But as her eyes widened and she looked back at him, asking about the drink, Eros settled back once again, shrugging. The girl had seriously never gone partying before, it seemed. "It's called a Cosmopolitan. It's a cocktail. No need to worry, as long as you like it." A wink was added after that, followed by another charming smile. Eros was going to lure this girl back to his home easier than expected. |

| Eros... Victoria had never heard of a name like that before, but that accent... European, for sure, but Victoria was still not very good with placing accents, Mediterranean, though, she guessed. And, well, even Victoria would admit that it did give her little butterflies in her stomach, the way she talked. She was human after all!
"Nice to meet you, Eros!" Victoria replied to his greeting with a warm smile that showed that she genuinely meant it.
"Oh! A Cosmo?" Victoria asked, realising now that this was one of those drinks her friends always got. She, personally, preferred Vodka with orange juice or something much less strong, but this wasn't bad. "I do like it, thank you!" She added, because she was grateful. Her female friends often got drinks from random men, truthfully. None of them ever acted on it, though. Victoria just couldn't be rude like that, though.
"So, who are you here with tonight?" Victoria asked, once again leaning in so that she could be heard by the man before her. Clubs really weren't the place for talking, but at least here, at the bar, talking to a man, she wasn't going to be danced against by men who thought they were attractive! ________________________________________________

| "Nice to meet you, Eros!"
A smile touched the man's lips at the sound of those words. She was indeed a little special girl. So naive it made him feel bad about the thoughts that were running through his head. Impure thoughts about her, preferably naked in his bed, begging him not to stop as he-
"Oh! A Cosmo?"
The girl seemed so surprised at that, that Eros couldn't stop himself from raising an eyebrow questioningly at the young girl. It was just a drink. There was no need to make such a fuss about it.
"So, who are you here with tonight?"
At her question, Eros almost choked on his own drink. The girl seemed far too innocent and young to be so straightforward, but it seemed that he was wrong. She might be innocent but she still knew how to take care of herself. It was obvious that she had a strong personality from they way she talked, but the little princess inside her was taking up most of the space. "I'm all alone, Signora. Yourself?"

| Finding out that Eros was on his own brought a brief moment o surprise to Victoria. Coming to a place like this on your own was something she thought to be quite brave, in truth. Of course, books had told her a number of times why men liked to come her on their own. She just... hadn't put Eros down as that kind of person. But Victoria was able to admit she was wrong.
"Just a few friends..." Victoria explained, turning sideways to see if she could find them and point them out. It took Victoria a few moments, however, before her eyes landed on her two girl friends each entwined with a male figure. "Well... I was, it seems like my company may no longer be needed." The young witch concluded with a soft laugh, showing that she didn't really mind.
Finishing up her drink, Victoria placed it on the bar, turning to Eros once more with a smile. "Do you dance?" She asked, hoping that he'd say yes, because she had definitely gotten to the point that she couldn't think of something to talk about that was relevant in a place where you could only just hear yourself think. ________________________________________________
