"You still don't need to promise me anything." Adrián reminded the witch with a fond smile. Perhaps she didn't quite understand what he was trying to say, perhaps she thought he was being nice when he said it the first time. But, as with any job, the only person you could really let down when you were working to be one of the best, was yourself.
"Finish up your tea, write up your notes on today's experiences, and make a note of what you've learned. Submit it to me, not Healer Hamblin. If there is a problem with that, I'll deal with it. I think you need a better mentor." Adrián explained, with a small smile. It might have been a little too forward of him to say so, but how was someone to learn if they weren't encouraged to do well.
"You may leave once you're done. I'll finish up with Scott, and we'll go over the notes at another time." Adrián finalised, finishing up his own tea before he moved to wash the cup up. "Until next time." He added just as he left, heading off in to the throng of people in the ward to carry on with his work.
