Mr. Kessler's question left the child shocked for the second time that evening. How had he known the frightening thought at the back of her mind? It really didn't make sense that Elenore wasn't up there... The only way it made sense was if she didn't.. want...
But why? Why would Elenore not want to be at a party where her brother was, probably dancing with all the pretty tall girls up there. Why wouldn't she want to be at a party where Mimosa was? The child would have shown Elenore all the best candies, and would have talked to her all night and introduced her to simply EVERYONE. Who wouldn't want to be at a party for that?
But the facts remained, she didn't know where to go, this man was being very unhelpful, and she had never written anything without voice to text. Still for Elenore, she would try. The young brunette was just about to ask him where she could find some paper and something to write with when he began to walk away, saying something about killer cabbages.
The little witch turned pale where she sat.
Mimosa had very little time to decide. She knew grown ups sometimes lied to get their way, but if that was the case, he himself wouldn't be walking way. And if there were killer cabbages... they would not like her. They would want revenge for every time she threw them under the table when Clara put them on her plate. Mimosa couldn't get attacked by cabbages yet, she hadn't even tested those new desserts up there!
Shooting up off the floor in a trice, the child bolted after the retreating stranger. "Mr. Kessler! Wait for me! I don't want to be eaten by Cabbages!"
