So, Andrei's first introduction class hadn't gone as planned. The students were fine if a bit overzealous, but his ability to move the class along effectively had been less than optimal. He was used to working with older students who knew how to make a point without spending a good twenty minutes explaining it. Well, it was that or the older man was out of practice and that wouldn't have surprised him in the slightest either. After all, quite a few years had passed since he'd actually taught in a classroom.
Oh, well. Live and learn...
This time, he promised himself, would be quite a bit different. For one the class would be doing something a bit more practical than introductions. In fact, it would involve a bit of spellcasting, which he hoped would add a little variety to the class and engage the more. To that end, each desk had a blank sheet of paper on it or rather they appeared to be blank at first glance. However, with the right application of magic, a mess of fairly simple runes would appear where before nothing had been.
Sitting behind the oaken desk at the front of class, Andrei now waited. With any luck, this class would go much more smoothly than the last. Of course, time, as it always did, would tell.
