“Idiot! No one would ever love you!” another punch was given.

Cammie gasped for air and she jumped off the bed in her dorm room. Her breathing was uneven and she can’t seem to feel that maybe what her bullies told her was true. That nobody has the time to get to know Cammie. “I’m really messed up.” Cammie said to herself. She knew that she needed to clear her head as she needed to breath and to think things over and get over her stupid nightmares. She quickly got out of the bed, taking her wand with her and went out of the room.

As she was walking, she don’t really know where to go. An idea was given out of pure inspiration which was The Forbidden Forest. Cammie has heard of this forest before from her parents. She knew the dangers of coming into this forest as she heard the many encounters her parents faced when they entered and yet they still do it multiple times. She stealthily walked to the Forest hoping she wouldn’t get caught.

Without hesitation, she walked into the forest and appreciate nature around her. She couldn’t really see the surrounding around her so she took out her wand and casted a spell with much confidence in her voice, “Lumos.” “ I can see better now. Good job Cam.” Cammie said to herself. She continued walking as she drowned herself yet again with sadness. Is she really unlovable? Is she really a monster?

She can’t help but continue walking she could feel tears trickling down her face as she thought about it. At this point she doesn’t care if something bites her and she dies. She feels empty, nothing but most of all she felt loneliness that is until she heard a twig snap.

She turned around and saw…. A silhouette she can’t really see the person but she know it’s someone. Cammie knows it could be a teacher or a student. She hopes it’s not the first one.

Sasha couldn't sleep today much. She didn't have nightmares just there were lots of things going on in her mind. The girl just was so confused how to feel about everything that is going on in her life lately. Her Christmas was interesting at least for once after so many years. There were things she never expected to happen even and then there were so many else things in her mind. So falling asleep wasn't easy. Her mind just couldn't shut up, so she had decided to take a walk before going sleep.

She didn't really care about the curfew right now much. She had no idea what time it was actually even when she was outside trying to clear her mind from her thoughts. She was just walking on the grounds when she saw that someone else was there outside too now. She was sure she wasn't perfect who was there to bust her or something like that. At least she hoped that.

She wasn't actually that far from the forbidden forest so she noticed how the girl went there. She just of curiosity decided to follow the girl. She had no idea why someone even went there. She herself has never been yet in there even if it seems like an interesting idea to go in there. She tried to be so quiet as she could but she did accidentally step on some twig. "Oh damn," she mumbled there.

She now walked a bit closer to the girl. "Oh, sorry. Didn't plan to scare you," she said there quietly but loud enough to a girl to hear. "I'm not here to get you in any trouble at all. If I did I would be in trouble too," she added there now. She tried to make the other girl be more secure maybe. She tried to be so nice she could. She wasn't yet far enough to see the other girl was crying.

As soon as she heard another voice, Cammie quickly wiped her tears but she knew that doesn’t work but she at least tried to make herself look more presentable. She smiled and said “ No it’s fine i mean there is a lot more things that could possibly scare me in this contraption. But, it’s the only contraption that i could clear my mind ya know?”
The other girl has successfully reassure Cammie that she won’t tell on her. “Her voice sounds familiar though” Cammie thought.

“I’m pretty sure we will be in trouble if we were to get caught.” As the shadow came closer to Cammie, she realised that it is her friend Sasha. “Hey didn’t recognised you there Sasha.” Cammie has no idea why Sasha is here but maybe it’s because Sasha wants to clear her mind too. To be away from the school a bit.

Cammie asked the redheaded girl, “So what are you doing here in this scary yet interesting forest?” Cammie was curious as to why Sasha is here. Cammie wants to know more about Sasha. Sure they talked before in classes but they don’t really have a long conversation. Cammie is determined to know Sasha more and to be there for her. “Do you maybe wanna join me on this walk or maybe you just wanna be alone i mean that’s why students come here right?” Cammie asked on instinct, she put one of her hand that wasn’t holding the wand on her neck. It was a sign that Cammie was really nervous.

Cammies parents always taught Jerome and Cammie to always look presentable as the clothes were to show the person’s personality. Cammie was only dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt that says “i’m too cool for you” with a pair of vans. Cammie quickly apologised and said “I’m sorry i look like shit right now. I know this isn’t what you normally see in class but i came here purely on inspiration” Cammie rambled this actually shows that Cammie is really nervous again. "Sorry I rambled. I always ramble when I'm nervous." Cammie apologised once again.

Sasha listened what the other girl said and to when she got closer she could recognise who it was there with her. "Oh I see," was what she could say about the first part. She wasn't sure about it but well people are different.

"Yep, we will be in trouble if we are caught. So let's not try to be," she said with a smile on her face. Lately, she seems to do things she really shouldn't do. Just things happen in her life and she can't always control them. "Well yeah it's me, Cammie," she said.

"Well figured it would be a good idea to come here and sort of followed you here," she said and wasn't sure how the other girl will take the second part of her sentences this time. She hoped she won't think she is a stalker or something. "I'm fine with joining you. Maybe we both can clear our minds from whatever distracted us from sleeping," she said with a small smile again. She was always so smiley. This was just who Sasha was.

"Is everything okay?" she asked there now as being concerned about her friend there. "You don't have to be nervous around me. Everything will be fine. We won't be caught if we are careful and try not to make too much sound outside. Never scream or than any other loud noise," she said and tried to help Cammie not be so nervous. She had no idea how to make her be less nervous there.

“Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go.” As Cammie held the wand, they begun to walk. As they were walking, Cammie answered her question by saying. “Truth be told, i’m not okay. I have nightmares for the past few weeks about my past that scared the shit out of me. It got so bad that i couldn’t sleep so that’s why i’m here.” Cammie didn’t know why she told Sasha the truth. Cammie normally just shrugs it off and just told them nothing. There is something about Sasha that made Cammie trust her. Maybe it’s her friendly personality.

“I normally just stay in my bed when it comes to my nightmares until the morning but i just needed to take a breather.” Cammie said again. Cammie smiled at Sasha to lighten up the mood. To Cammie, it’s a bit boring to talk about something that people didn’t wanna know about her. She believes that maybe what they told her are the things that is really her. A broken girl begging to be fixed. But she knows she can’t. Once a person is broken, they can never feel normal again.

“What about you? Are you okay?” Cammie asked. Sasha seems normal, friendly, amazing. Cammie is sometimes jealous that people like Sasha can communicate with other people so easily. Cammie wishes that she isn’t so broken so that she can actually have friends.
“Okay i promise i won’t be nervous around you” Cammie promised. Cammie holds out her pinky to solidify the promise. Hoping Sasha would wrap her pinky around Cammie’s little finger.

Sasha nodded her head. "Let's go," she said with a small smile and took her wand too out. She decided to use Lumos spell too there. So she could see a bit brighter too there now. She listened what Cammie said and wasn't sure what to say at the start to that. "I'm sorry about your nightmares. They can be horrible yes. I hope things go better," she said and tried still brighten her mood.

"I have just a lot going on in my life. Just even if I seem always so happy and cheerful doesn't mean I'm always that. Just I might have both parents alive but they don't really pay much attention what I'm doing. They're never even there for me. So the woman, the nanny, they hired to look after me since I was 5 is more of mother to me than my own. So yeah I didn't really have that great of childhood too. And this Christmas a lot happened. There are details I can't really discuss. So I'm still trying to wrap my mind around things what did happen recently," she said there now something more than she had planned at first.

"So I'm not really okay too," she said and sighed. There was so much more when was going on. She couldn't tell about everything. Some things need to be staying a secret for now at least and she isn't sure how to talk about them even.

Sasha looked at that pinky and then Cammie. She wasn't really the person who does pinky promises but maybe she should. So Cammie can trust her at least. She knows the girl needs people to trust her and to be honest she herself needs those people in her life too, who she can trust. "I promise that too and I will try to trust you too," she said and did wrap her pinky around Cammie's.

Cammie listened to Sasha as she told Cammie about the events during her Christmas holiday well some parts of it. Cammie hugged Sasha and quickly pulled away and said, “ I know how that feels. My dad sometimes went away for business trips he won’t come back for at least 2 weeks. My mum would also be travelling to Paris as she has fashion weeks. They do try make time for me and my brother, Jerome but sometimes them trying isn’t enough for us ya know?”

Cammie couldn’t imagine what Sasha has been through before Hogwarts. She thought Sasha was always happy and chirpy. Cammie guessed wrong. Cammie could only be there for her friend. “ I’m sure whatever is going on right now, you would make the right choice.” Cammie smiled.

As they continued walking through the unknown, Cammie told Sasha with a soft tone, “Also you don’t have to try and trust me. Trust is earned so it’s honestly your choice if you wanna trust me.”

Believe or not, Cammie felt energetic coming to this forest. Not many know this about Cammie but,Cammie really enjoys nature. She knows she made the right choice to come here also she gets to know a little bit more about her friend. That’s already a huge thing for Cammie. She used to be closed off but Hogwarts has made her another person not in a bad way of course. She changed for the better. But, she still has her own flaws, she is a very insecure person.

Cammie frowned as the flashbacks from her nightmares comes back in her thoughts. She decided to shake it off. “So, tell me more about yourself. Like what’s your favourite food or your favourite book or maybe your favourite teacher here.” Cammie asked in a very intrested tone. Wanting to know more about her friend and in exchange, she would tell Sasha about herself.

Sasha nodded head to what Cammie said. She was a bit surprised about the hug. She has never been really the hugger for sure. She didn't mind them but she barely got them and she never herself gave them really. "Well, yours at least are there at times. I do see even mines barely. Like maybe three or less time in a year even," she said and sighed. "And I have no siblings. I have no idea why my parents are even together still," she added. To be honest seems like Sasha doesn't know much about her parents at the end at all.

"Well, just I did something I probably shouldn't have done around my Christmas time. I don't regret it really but there are things I shouldn't have done. I can't really talk about it even if I wish I could. Maybe one day I will tell you the truth what happened," she said and sighed. She really wished she could share it with someone but she didn't wanna risk getting Jackson in trouble right now.

"I hope I do make right decisions in my life," she said. She really hoped she would make them.

"I know trust is earned. I'm not trusting everyone that easily too. Even if I seem to have lots of friends doesn't mean I trust them all," she said with a small smile on her face. "Just I seem to make them a way to easily," she added.

Sasha was actually glad she had come to this forest. It had cleared her mind a bit and she could not think what she should do right now. She just was focusing to get to know Cammie. And she didn't wanna think about her own problems right now. She can worry about them some other day when the day comes when she needs to be honest. Sasha kind of like nature too but not so much as Cammie probably. Sasha isn't so perfect as she seems to be, the girl is very insecure about some things still and tries to figure out who she really is. She might be always so happy and carefree but she just tries to be that. She doesn't wanna burden others or then even pity her.

Sasha thought what to say about her favourite things. "My favourite colours are purple and black actually. Favourite food is french fries I guess, never really thought what it could be and it changes so fast. Favourite book is hard to tell since there is so many, probably some fantasy book. Hard to tell who I like the most since I have barely paid attention who is who. So since I like Charms and Potions so maybe those professors," she answered there now something. She really wasn't exactly sure how true some of her answers were right now. "What about you?" she asked back. Getting to know Cammie seemed like good idea.

“Hmm… my favourite colour are dark colours except purple. I don’t look good in purple. My favourite food would be everything except for salad.” Cammie’s face was grimace with disgust towards the green food. She has a love-hate relationship with the food. “My favourite teacher would be Mr Newbury.” She replied.

Somehow, Cammie felt that she needed Sasha to trust her, it’s a slow process yes, but she wants to support Sasha in any way she could. To know her more and to be there for her. She asked Sasha, “Hey Sasha, you can talk to me ya know?” Cammie was curious as to what happened to her during her christmas. Cammie knows not to push Sasha for the details so she let it be. It’s much more satisfying if, Sasha told her willingly so all she has to do is wait.

“Ya know, before i went to Hogwarts, I never knew that my life would change drastically. I thought that i would be the introverted type of gal and just be an antisocial person. Heck I didn’t even know that I would have friends to begin with. Hogwarts kinda made me a better person but i still have my days when I have my nightmares about my past back in New York. I guess you can say that Hogwarts has taken away some bad parts about me that I’m thankful for. What about you? Did hogwarts help you change a lil bit about yourself that you hate?” Cammie asked Sasha.

Cammie didn’t know why she told her that. She just thought Sasha should know. She came here to bond with Sasha and that’s what she wants to do. To bond with anybody. Cammie didn’t wanna be the loner again. She is suppose to change and that’s what she’s gonna do. She needed to be the old Cammie when she was the most friendly kid in the world and just socialise with other people. She wanted that back no she needed it back very badly.

“Enough about me. What about you?” Cammie asked yet another question. Gosh she is asking too many questions.

Sasha smiled awhile she listened what Cammie said what was her favourite things. "Yes, I like darker colours too more. I don't know really if purple looks good on me or not, haven't really tried but it has become recently my fav colour," she said with a small smile. "I'm really not a big fan of salads too. So I won't judge you," she added it. She wasn't really someone who tried to watch her figure all the time. "Oh Mr Newbury is nice professor yes," she had to agree with it there now.

Just Sasha wasn't sure how to talk what had happened in New York. Just all this was so weird still and she tried to understand still what had happened. She knew she couldn't tell exactly everything. "Well, I went to New York with my mother for Christmas. But well my mother did ditch me basically as always, to hang out with people she knows at the event where we did go. So I met there someone and so we ditched the event and went to explore New York together," she said there suddenly something. She decided not to mention names and just trust Cammie for some reasons with this info. "Yes I know it wasn't probably the best idea to go explore the city for a stranger but that event was so boring," she added.

"Well, my life is mostly the same as before except I can now use magic. I didn't even know until my eleventh birthday that I was a witch. I'm muggleborn," she said there and sighed. "And I hope your nightmares will someday go away. I even have them barely isn't good but having them almost every night is really bad," she tried to comfort her a bit. "Hogwarts feels more home for me because at home I'm always alone, parents are always away, work. So here at Hogwarts, I have people around," she said with a small smile. She really loved to be at Hogwarts.

To be honest Sasha didn't share so much about herself usually too. Seems like she did trust Cammie for some reasons. She wasn't sure why. She just seemed like someone she could trust and she was glad she had probably friend like her. Who somehow a bit did know how she felt and she could easily talk with her. She didn't have to pretend to be someone who she really wasn't.
