PostSubject: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptyFri Dec 01, 2017 10:22 pm

June had come around in a blur, the preparation for the wedding had been non-stop for Sebastian and Aiden, and the correspondence with Mimosa had double in the last month with the young witch's excitement. Sebastian was glad the season was over, in truth, so that he could focus on the final touches of the wedding.

A week before, Sebastian had left the small home that he and Aiden owned to head off to Venice to stay with his Mama to make the final preparations for the big day. Aiden would be following a few days later when he finished work.

In that time, Sebastian had checked over the church they'd picked for the day -- the San Giovanni Nuovo church was an unstated church in every aspect. Apart from the personal value it held to Sebastian. His parents had wed in this church, and he knew that on his own big day, in this church, his Papa would be looking down on him with a proud smile on his features, knowing his son was happy. His Mama had not stopped fussing the whole time, checking the arrangements for Mimosa and Mercy's arrival, checking Sebastian's suit was not dirty, even though it had not come out of the cover he'd brought it home in. To checking the food was still going to be ready for the after party.

As Sebastian kept insisting, though, this was going to be a small affair. From Sebastian's side of the family, it would only be his Mama. Then, his colleagues from work would be coming too. Then, of course, there was Mimosa and Mercy, though the two of them could be attributed to both Sebastian and Aiden's guests. Aiden's guest list was much bigger than his own, simply due to having a larger family than Sebastian, and then more colleagues to bring along.

Having only a small house -- in which Sebastian and Aiden could not both stay -- Sebastian had insisted Aiden take his old room to get ready for the day, whilst he moved on to the hotel with the girls. Kids had always been much more Sebastian's forte than his fiance, and he didn't wish to put Aiden in a position that he wouldn't be one hundred percent comfortable with.

So, the night before the wedding, the three of them -- Sebastian, Mimosa and Mercy -- had ordered much too much food for the three of them, whilst watching whichever film the girls picked out -- until such a time that Sebastian was kicked out of the room because they wanted 'girl' time.

Sleep the night before a wedding was not something that came easy. Butterflies fluttered through Sebastian's stomach in an almost painful manner. Keeping him up in to the small hours of the morning. Until, quite exhausted, the Italian had fallen asleep on the hotel sofa, snoring softly due to the awkward angle he'd ended up in as he dozed off.

Blissfully unaware, of course, of the hour the next morning growing closer to that of the hour he was supposed to be walking down the aisle to the man he loved.

As the date grew closer to the eight of June, so did Mimosa Harrington's excitement. In fact, Clara would have sworn the child was off the charts as she packed for the short trip to Venice, the nine year old even forgetting her irritation for chores and running around trying to help Clara just for somewhere to direct her boundless energies towards.

The night before she was due to travel with Grandpa to pick up Mercy, the child could hardly sleep. And was Clara a less patient person, she would have given Mimosa a few drops of cough syrup with her nightly milk. As it was, Clara sat awake with the child until three a.m. finally passing out beside an already asleep Mimosa. Clara wouldn't have chosen motherhood in the way that it had chosen her, but the witch couldn't deny she rocked at it!

The next day - and having taken into count all the different timezone they'd be whizzing through, Mimosa and Kit left. The entire journey would be by planes since Mimosa could not temperate without possible risk so Clara didn't envy ehr best friend who would have to fold his tall frame into airplane seats for the better part of the next twenty four hours. the things they id for their kids.

The journey to Cork, Ireland was as expected. The in flight movie was not enough to keep Mimosa occupied and that in turn ensured her grandfather couldn't get any sleep. the duo did have fun snapping pictures on the plane, talking about perspective and how to make the person in seat F3 look more photogenic with a popcorn hovering on his nose, moving every time he took a breath in and exhales in his sleep.

By the time they touched down at the airport, Mimosa's lack of sleep was catching up with her, resulting in the child rubbing her eyes as they headed for the taxi that would take them to Mercy's address. The child of course fell asleep through the drive but it gave Kit and the cabby a good opportunity for some not to child safe conversation topics. As the car stopped at Mercy's home, Mimosa was gently awoken to go greet ehr friend.

The child nearly jumped out of the vehicle to go hug Mercy who stood waiting at the gate with her mother. And while the girls chattered away, Kit and Mrs. Williams discussed the travel plans further before the two girls were bustled into the cab and sped off to the airport for the last leg of the journey.

The gods must have smiled down upon Kit for on the flight to Venice, both girls fell soundly asleep, holding on to each other as if they were clutching their favorite teddy bears. When Sebastian met them at the Venice air terminal, they both took a child each, looking so much like the haggard but proud parents Kit was sure Sebastian would one day become. Both men knew this was the only quiet time they would get before the girls woke up and the wedding excitement hit anew, so neither roused the child they carried but instead quietly transferred the girls to the hotel and tucked them in.

The next morning, the chaos hit. The girls wanted to do everything in one day and had no time to do it all in. Still Sebastian was a gracious host, entertaining them throughout the day despite his own preparations for the big day tomorrow. Finally, when the girls were tired out and Sebastian sent to his own room, the exhaustion hit once more. Before bed, Mimosa brushed her hair a hundred times, making sure they were shiny enough for tomorrow. She then proceeded to offer to do the same for Mercy. The girls fell asleep once more on the large comfortable bed, dreaming about tomorrow and the adventure the day would bring.

PostSubject: Re: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptySat Dec 09, 2017 2:15 am

It normally took Mercy about three to five days to fully recover from an episode. With a full moon on the fourth, leaving on the eighth was cutting it a little close, but there was really nothing she could do--and so what if she was a little tired? She could handle it. Her mam, however, fretted over her all day on the seventh, making Mercy rest as she packed her bags for her. Though she protested, she ended up sleeping most of the day, and woke up the next morning feeling almost like her usual self.

She spent the morning pacing in front of the clock in her kitchen, watching the minutes tick by. She'd never been more excited in her life--she was getting on a plane for the first time! With one of her best friends! And going to Italy! Every few moments, she went into the other room to look out the window, then returned, fidgeting all the while with random objects that she picked up from the counter and rolled between her fingers.

Her dad attempted to distract her with a hearty breakfast, but, though she ate it with gusto, she did so in front of the window, keeping one eye on it at all times.

At last, the hour arrived. Mercy leapt from her position as soon as the cab came into view, and charged into the hallway, nearly crashing into her mam. The woman just chuckled and picked up Mercy's luggage from its place by the door. Mercy ran to her dad and hugged him tightly before following her mother out the door to the front gate.

Mercy hadn't seen Mimosa since the Halloween Ball in October, but their reunion was as natural as if they'd never been apart. They met with hugs and giggles, and chatted happily all the way to the airport after saying a quick goodbye to Mercy's mam.

Mercy didn't remember much about the plane ride, apart from taking off. She spent a good twenty minutes with her nose pressed against the window, mouth agape as she gazed down at the world disappearing below. She decided she loved flying in airplanes almost as much as on broomsticks. The rest of the trip was a blur.

She remembered waking up briefly when they landed, and blearily looking around as they disembarked. Then she must have fallen asleep again, because the next thing she knew, she was wrapped in a fluffy blanket, her feet entangled with Mimosa's as they shared a huge bed, light filtering in through the windows of their hotel room.

The next day passed in a frenzy of activity. Mimosa's Uncle Seb (not her real uncle, Mercy had discovered) was super fun and brought them almost everywhere they wanted to go. Mimosa led the way for the most part, as Mercy wasn't sure of all the sights that Italy had to offer.

Mercy spent a good portion of the day peppering Sebastian with questions about his quidditch career--his favourite brooms, his best moments on the field, his worst injuries--anything that came to mind, she asked. He was very obliging, so she eventually moved on from quidditch to other subjects, like Italy, his wedding, and his fiance. Mercy didn't really meet Aiden until the rehearsal that evening, but she thought the way Sebastian talked about him was the most adorable thing ever, so she had a very high opinion of him by the time they met.

By the time they returned to their hotel room, Mercy was exhausted. She hadn't quite gotten her full energy back yet, so the day wore her out more than it normally would have. Still, she was quite content, especially after settling down with a movie and copious amounts of food.

After they kicked Sebastian out, Mercy and Mimosa chatted for another hour or so, discussing anything and everything like a proper sleepover. Mercy even let the other girl brush her hair, despite insisting that it was too short to make much difference. As the night dragged on, the two girls crawled into bed, content in each other's company, and eagerly awaiting the next day's festivities.

PostSubject: Re: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptyWed Dec 13, 2017 7:55 pm

The alarm started to buzz loudly in Sebastian's ear, and the Quidditch Coach groaned softly as he swatted at it to turn off. His pre wedding jitters had kept him up much later than he would have liked, and now... now he felt dead tired. But, as the realisation of all that hit -- that today was finally the day he would be heading down the aisle to marry the man he loved, Sebastian's body seemed to find a new gear, making it much easier to slide out of bed and pull on a t-shirt and jeans from the day before.

Heading to the door of the girls' bedroom, Sebastian knocked softly, pausing for a moment before entering. Both of them, though, were still fast asleep, cuddled in to one another in what was one of the cutest scenes Sebastian had. After a moment's short deliberation, Sebastian retrieved his phone, took a photo and WhatsApp'd it to Kit and Clara with a heart eyed emoji. Then, repeating the process with Aiden, Sebastian added to the second text 'I think this will be the quietest these two will be all day!' and a crying laughing face.

After that, Sebastian gently woke the two girls, who were -- in Mimosa's case at least -- highly enthusiastic to get ready.

Leaving them to get ready, Sebastian moved back to his own room, taking a shower, brushing his teeth twice, gelling his hair and then finally moving to get changed in to his suit, that he'd changed the tie it had originally been paired with to a navy blue one that matched the dress he and Mimosa had chosen. It was a long process, but he had time before he was finished to go back to see the girls, and help them with any last minute preparations -- be that makeup, or hair, or getting in to their own outfits -- before the car arrived.

Unlike any fancy wedding, Sebastian had only borrowed a car from a neighbour. Whilst nice enough, it would never be called a 'luxury' vehicle. They were on their way in no time, Sebastian talking to the young witches in order to try to keep his nerves from showing, though his hands were fussing over a button continually. Though he knew he had nothing to fear, this was a big day, and Sebastian wanted it all to go smoothly.

PostSubject: Re: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptyFri Dec 15, 2017 6:38 pm

On the morning of the wedding, Mimosa was roused gently by her Uncle Sebastian. The child had only resisted for the scant minute she hadn't realized where she was. Upon opening her bright blue eyes and seeing the Quidditch coach instead of the usual Clara, the little witch had let out a squeal which had done more to wake Mercy up than all of Uncle Seb's gentle words.

Once both girls were well and truly awake, and Mimosa was all but dancing on her feet as she rushed to and from the large walk in closet where her and Mercy's clothes hung, Uncle Seb ordered them breakfast and watched them eat - never touching a bite himself - before leaving them to get dressed.

"Okay, I'm off to shower," Mimosa announced to Mercy once uncle Seb had left. "I have some hairspray that makes your hair looks amazing even after being washed. You can borrow it too," she declared before disappearing into the bathroom. The child merged twenty minutes later in a large fluffy towel and ran to tag Mercy.

"You're it," she giggled before disappearing into the closet. Her dress was perfectly steamed and ready and though she was rightly too young for makeup, Mimosa did have her special hairspray and a little bit of lip color. Her own excitement and joy would add the pink to her cheeks and the glimmer to her eyes. The American model changed quickly, moving into the dress with slow, careful precision like she'd been taught from a young age. Some of the dresses she wore had to be returned undamaged and by now, she was an old hand at this.

Once the little witch had slid into ehr navy dress, she frowned at the full length mirror. It wasn't sitting properly. Another moment of scrutiny made her realize it needed zipping up of course. Relieved, the child reached for the zipper - only to realize she couldn't.

"Mercy!" she called out, panicking. What if no one helped her do up her dress? What if she had to walk down the aisle looking all out of shape? What if the dress fell down? "Mercy!! Can you please please come and help me?" Luckily he Gryffindor came to her aid and soon enough, the dress sat snugly on Mimosa's short frame.

After that, it was only a matter of getting Mercy dressed. The older witch's outfit took a lot longer than Mimosa's but the young model tried to help as much as she can. When Mercy was done, Mimosa had to grin, a grin that stretched from ear to ear when seh saw them both in the mirror.

"Okay, I think we might look even better than my uncles," the brunette giggled before pulling out her phone and taking a few selfies. She had promised Jacques and Elenore pictures after all. As soon as they were done, Uncle Seb was knocking once again. And not too long later, he had bundled them up into a car and was driving to the church where he and Uncle Aiden would marry.

Mercy awoke to an excited squeal from her best friend and shot up, bleary-eyed and slightly disoriented. The importance of the day quickly came back to her though, and she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and jumped from the bed. When breakfast arrived, she sped through it, still chewing when she pulled open the closet and removed her outfit.

She waited as patiently as she could for Mimosa to finish her shower. She paced around the room, doing everything she could think of to get ready before she took a shower herself. She gathered all the pieces of her suit, and collected a small tin of hair gel that her mam had packed for her. She fidgeted a little bit, adjusting miniscule details here and there, and admiring the two outfits: her mam was really good at matching things, the two blues were exactly the same shade.

When Mimosa tagged her, she giggled and grabbed all of her stuff, running into the bathroom and taking the fastest shower possible. She was in the middle of drying off, when she heard her friend's panicked voice calling her name. Quickly wrapping her towel around her, she called back, "Coming!" and burst out of the bathroom to see what was wrong. She was relieved to find nothing seriously amiss, and gladly zipped up the back of Mimosa's dress for her. She admired the younger witch in her outfit for a moment, before returning to the bathroom to retrieve her own.

After thoroughly drying off, especially her hair, she got to work with all of the different pieces of her suit. She was excited to wear it in public--she'd only ever tried it on in the fitting room before. She pulled on her nice trousers and buttoned up her shirt, then slid her vest over her shoulders and buttoned that up as well. Mimosa helped her into her suit jacket, and she pulled on her socks and her fancy shoes. Then she pulled out a navy blue bowtie from her trunk and stood in front of the mirror, tying and adjusting it exactly the way her dad had showed her: cross it over, pull it up, bend it back, loop it around, fold it over, pull it through.

When that was done, she grabbed her tin of gel, and enlisted Mimosa's help in gelling her hair back. When they washed their hands and stood back to look at themselves in the mirror, Mercy grinned for a split second, before composing her face into a "cool" look and posing with her arms crossed in front of her chest. She ran a hand through her hair and did a little nod and wink at Mimosa in the mirror, then burst out laughing.

She posed for Mimosa's pictures, and took a few of her own to send back to her parents. Soon enough, Mimosa's uncle Seb joined them, and they all piled into the car, the air practically crackling with excited energy.

The Santa Maria Della Fava church came in to view only a short while after they'd entered the car, Sebastian's stomach was trying to become a circus, of that much he was sure as the excitement and mild nerves of the day grew with each moment. The girls were a welcome distraction though, talking animatedly on the way.

Sebastian's moment came, though, and as he exited the car and took in the church he knew that there was never going to be a moment in which he was going to turn back. Catching himself, Sebastian aided Mimosa and Mercy from the car, and ushered them up the steps.

"Now, then, if you can both walk in front of me -- like we practiced- oh, Mimosa!" Sebastian paused, turning to the man who'd just come forth with the young witch's bouquet that matched the wedding's theme. "These are for you." He added, deciding against getting Mercy some because the older witch seemed not to care for the traditionally 'girly' parts of the wedding.

With one final check from the man who'd brought forth the flowers, the thumbs up was given, and the organ within the church struck up the traditional Wagner's Wedding March. Though, unlike many people, Sebastian walked the aisle on his own, behind Mimosa and Mercy with the biggest grin on his lips imaginable. From here, he could see Aiden, waiting eagerly at the altar for him. To say his (not so distant) future husband looked amazing in his suit, waiting for him to get there would have been one of the largest understatements of the year.

It was a slow walk up -- so as not to waste the song chosen for the walk -- to the altar, to Aiden, but those gathered in the Church were beaming. His Mama was already dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief as she watched her only son walk the aisle. His colleagues were beaming, and Aiden's guests were looking from Sebastian to Aiden eagerly.

It was perhaps only just over a minute, nearing two, by the time Sebastian came level Aiden, his own eyes filled with unshed tears as he took his fiance's hands. The younger man was shaking gently in that moment, nerves, excitement, anticipation all built in to one as he readied himself for the next part of the wedding.

But, as always, Sebastian's lips were pulled upwards in to a warm smile, eyes focused on the man about to become his husband as the vicar started to read through the ceremony.

PostSubject: Re: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptyWed Dec 27, 2017 5:08 pm

The moment June approached, Aiden had been a nervous wreck, being forced to do a desk job at Gringotts much to the Goblins' amusement and his own mortification. He had forgotten to check one of their new arrivals for hidden wards and he had been shocked by a lightning surge that made him yelp like a girl, though he would never admit that, not even to his husband-to-be. The Goblins had been chortling the whole day away at that and Aiden had been so mortified that he was red in the face.

Thankfully though, he had gotten his wits back about him again and he had been able to go back to work until it was the week of the wedding. Having taken time off from Gringotts, the male had left for Venice to stay with Sebastian's Mama and Sebastian until it was time for his fiancee to head off to the hotel with Mimosa and Mercy, the two girls, while lovable, were too much of a handful for the former Slytherin who, while didn't hate children, wasn't entirely comfortable with them.

The rings, that he had specifically ordered from Gringotts and promised the goblins that they would be returned to Gringotts upon their death, were safely hidden away in the pocket of his suit-jacket, Sebastian not having seen the beautiful piece of jewellery that the goblins had crafted. Only Sebastian's Mama had glimpsed at it and if the tears in her eyes hadn't told him how happy she was, the hug that he had received from her certainly had.

The day of the wedding, Aiden had woken up early to prepare breakfast for himself and Sebastian's Mama before the two of them went their separate ways to prepare themselves for the wedding.

After a thorough scrub-down, the man had carefully slipped into his wedding suit and patiently sat on a chair to let Sebastian's Mama style his hair, he had begged for her help the night before and with an airy chuckle, the woman had agreed.

The two of them arrived at the church half an hour before the ceremony, each of them going their separate ways as soon as they were inside. Aiden to the altar and Sebastian's Mama to sit in the front row pews.

It seemed like a lifetime before the organs started playing and Aiden was greeted with the sight of his soon-to-be husband walking down the aisle and even though he noticed the two young girls in front, his eyes were only on his love, his eyes locked onto those amazing blue eyes of Sebastian.

It may have only been a few minutes before Sebastian arrived at the alter but to Aiden it felt like a lifetime and as soon as Sebastian was in front of him, he breathed a sigh of relief and beamed at the man in front of him, eager to get a start on this new chapter of his life.

PostSubject: Re: The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian)   The Wedding of the Year (Aiden, Mimosa, Mercy & Sebastian) EmptySat Dec 30, 2017 9:23 am

There was a moment of silence -- though Sebastian couldn't be sure if his body had just blocked out the world around him, or whether it was a true moment of silence -- in which Aiden and he stood hand in hand, just looking at one another decked out in finery Sebastian had never imagined he would see. Where Sebastian's hands shook, Aiden seemed to be the epitome of calm, a calm from which Sebastian drew his strength as the moment of silence burst around them.

The vicar beside the two of them started the proceedings, welcoming the family and the friends of the couple to the ceremony, detailing the reason for them all being here today with the notion of deep love, and the wish for eternity together. Sebastian bit his lip softly in order to try to stop the grin, or even the small nervous laugh that came when the man beside them asked the room at large if there was any lawful reason why the two of them should not be wed.

A moment...

Two...

But nothing came forth in that moment, and Sebastian let out a breath of relief that he hadn't known to have been holding in that moment.

From there, it was on to the specifics of marriage to the two. What would be expected of them, the true meaning of marriage in the name of God, and how they would be expected to live their lives. Sebastian's face simply grew with a smile as this happened, already planning how perfect their married life was going to be. Perfect, yes, Sebastian knew that life with Aiden was going to perfect.

Then, came the vows. Sebastian took his first as they'd agreed before hand.

"I, Sebastian Aquila, take thee, Aiden James Harvey, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge myself to you." He repeated from the vicar, smiling fondly at Aiden the whole time as his lip gave a small wobble at each pause, the tears of happiness, joy, shone in the younger man's eyes as he looked to his partner, waiting for Aiden to repeat the words too.

With each word Aiden spoke, Sebastian squeezed his hands softly, to reassure the older male who had never liked speaking in public. Assuring Aiden that he was doing great as a tear rolled down his cheek as Aiden promised himself to Sebastian in that moment.

"Do we have the rings?" The vicar asked of the two, and Sebastian nodded, motioning for Mimosa to come forward with the box that had -- unbeknownst to Sebastian -- been moved from Aiden's pocket to Mimosa during the ceremony.

The young witch brought them forwards with great care and professionalism, handing them to Sebastian who opened the box with the letter A swirled on the top. A small moment of awe, and Sebastian took the ring from the box, pocketing the box, and then taking Aiden's left hand.

"With this ring, I thee wed." Sebastian echoed the vicar, his voice shaking with emotion as the realisation hit. Only one more sentence, one more and Aiden and he would be wed. Lawfully, forever.

"With this ring, I thee wed." Aiden echoed sliding the ring on to Sebastian's finger with so much care.

"I now pronounce you husband, and husband! You may kiss the groom!" The vicar finalised the ceremony, and Sebastian moved forth, leaning up to press a kiss to his husband's lips -- their first kiss as a married couple -- which sent electric down his spine as the Church erupted in to joyous applause. Moving back to standing flat foot, Sebastian looked up at his husband with a grin.

"I love you," He managed over the noise of the Church, rubbing his thumb across the back of Aiden's hand before they turned to those gathered. "Come on!" Sebastian added, tugging Aiden down the aisle to await the shower of confetti and rice that would come.

Before he met Sebastian, Aiden had been wholeheartedly sure that he would be forever alone, just leaving a trail of broken hearts behind himself as he slept with people left and right. He had no illusions then that Karma wouldn't come to bite him in the ass but then Sebastian stepped into his life. The guy had caught Aiden's eye straight off and the man had been hooked on the older male from day one.

To think that now, they were standing in a church about to get married, he couldn't believe it. With half-an-ear he listened to the proceedings that the vicar started on though he mainly ignored what was going on, his attention solely focused on the man in front of him. His hand were trembling even though he looked to be as cool as a cucumber.

When no-one said a thing as to why they shouldn't be wed, a self-satisfying smirk appeared on Aiden's lips; even if people knew things, they would've kept their mouths shut.

Watching and listening to Sebastian speak the vows of marriage made Aiden stand straight and proud before he ploughed on through his own vows, clearly the nerves of standing in front of so many people showing on his face.

"I, Aiden James Harvey, take thee, Sebastian Aquila, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge myself to you." His voice trembled even as he squeezed Sebastian's hand back.

The moment the ring was on his finger, Aiden took the other ring and with such care and devotion he took Sebastian's hand in his own and carefully slid the ring on the older male's finger. "With this ring, I thee wed."

Finally, the vicar pronounced them husbands and Aiden eagerly swooped in to press a kiss onto Sebastian's lips, arms winding around his waist as he pulled him close. "I love you too." He replied back, a goofy smile on his lips.

Laughing as Sebastian tugged him down the aisle, Aiden couldn't wait for the rest of their lives together.
