-Dark/Dim places – Jade likes to be in dimly lit or even dark places. She finds it relaxing.

-Taking advantage of people – By being superior, through blackmail or however else, if she can take advantage of someone, she most likely will do so.

-Has trouble working in groups or teams – Jade isn't a teamplayer. Unless she has full control over the group, there is no way she will get along with the people in her group.
-Herbology – Jade doesn't really care much about magical plants or plants in general, so she has no interest in actually being good in this class.
-Astronomy – This class really bores Jade and she also thinks it's pretty useless in her life, so she doesn't care about it.

Jade grew up in a moderately wealthy household as an only child just outside Liverpool. She had a relatively isolated childhood there, although many of the neighbours had children her age. To make up for that, her father bought her everything she wished for and she was always a content child. However, when she was out with her parents and met other people, she would always brag about all the things she had and only talk about herself. In fact, she would not even let others talk about themselves and get really annoyed if they did, to the point that she would tell those people, no matter how old, to 'shut up' or possibly bully them when they were younger. Her parents did not seem to mind this behaviour too much (aside from punishing her whenever she physically hurt another child) as it showed their child had a very dominant personality. Just to be sure, though, her parents did teach her to be respectful at least to her professors, once she gets into school.
Her worst memory comes from the time when her father left his wand unattended and it fell into Jade's hands. That must have been when she was eight years old. She really wanted to test spells she heard her parents use, so she went outside to do so. She memorized some spells from hearing them, or so she thought. But none of the spells seemed to work. Just then, when she was about to give up, she tried one last spell she heard her parents say whenever they lighted the fireplace: 'Incendio'. She must have hit something highly flammable, because within mere minutes a neighbour family's house stood in flames. Of course, she quickly ran back inside her family's house, put the wand back where she found it and tried to pretend nothing had happened. However, her mother must have seen her, or somehow noticed her daughter had a wand in her hands, because after the fire was taken care of by the local fire brigade she immediately came into Jade's room. She looked furious, to say the least. Jade will never forget the angry look in her mother's eyes. Seeing her mother like this again, is her greatest fear. After this experience, she took it to heart to learn spells perfectly before she would ever use them.
In the time between this event and her invitation to Hogwarts, she focused on learning as much as possible from her parents, so she would have an advantage over other students. This lead to her being even more arrogant. However, her mother seemed to only encourage this behaviour. And so, Jade finally got into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and she is ready to learn and possibly cause some chaos, if it fits her.

Charles was born into a large family in London. Despite it being a pureblood family, they did not have particularly much wealth to their name and they also did not care much about the continuation of the pureblood line. He attended Hogwarts as a member of house Ravenclaw. He was a decent Quidditch player during his school years and decided to get into the broom-making business after graduation, creating the Blackwood Broom Company and its product: The Speedstar. This company turned out to be quite successful, as the Speedstar seemed to have good qualities for long and hard Quidditch matches. This amassed him and his family a small fortune. He is always nice to Jade and would help her with anything.
Olivia comes from a line of Aurors. She, too, graduated from Hogwarts and was a member of house Slytherin during her time there. After getting good N.E.W.T scores in all her subjects she eventually became an Auror. Because she was an only child and her father would not have any other heir who could become an Auror, it was decided Olivia should take that role. This is something she also expects from her daughter. This is why she always expects her daughter to be good in school and she gets very strict if Jade messes up.
Charles and Olivia met during their time in Hogwarts and fell in love, even though they were two years apart. They married after both of their graduations and decided to have a child once the broom-making business was a success. They decided to settle down in a Muggle neighbourhood, so their child would have a better understanding of the Muggle world and possibly grow up without any prejudice against them (which did not work).
