I'm looking forward to my letter very, very much! I'll keep it safe with all the other ones you've written for me! Hopefully the owls won't take too long to deliver it! Seeing your pictures will make all of us here at the Palace very, very happy!
I'm sure Mercy will be okay, she might just be super, super tired from the flight, too. Especially seeing as you took a commercial plane. Those take so much longer!
You need to help Mrs Williams, too, get Mercy some nice fruits and some sweet goodies to make her feel better.
Something did happen in France, or, starting to happen. Lots of things are changing in France, but I'll tell you in person because it's a little bit complicated -- I struggle to understand it sometimes, so we can work it through together when we're together.
Everyone at the Palace is okay, we're missing you, of course, the Palace is not the same without you. Please promise me you're coming to the Palace next year? Summers are so, so very boring without your energy! Also, I want to take you out in the gardens again, see how you remember the maze! Of course I'm planning Maman's birthday, but she doesn't want a fuss, so I'm not sure what to do.
You're going to be in India for your birthday, right? You need to come home for your birthday so we can celebrate together! But, I think you come home after...

It really is that difficult! Papa and Maman explained it to me and it is really quite something to grasp. But, we can go through it together, and maybe you can help me with the bits I don't fully understand, because you're the smartest, ever!
How was the party? I would imagine it was quite something, I'm told the culture over there is full of colour, and lots of music, and even more dancing! Did you dance last night? Hopefully not with too many boys, though! I'll be super jealous if other boys got to dance with mon chouchou!
Oh, wow! You look beautiful in your Lehenga! Please can you send me a copy of this picture in your letter too, so that I can have it put in a frame for my apartment in London? The colours suit you well!
That sounds amazing, I'm sure Maman will love them! I don't know whether she'll be able to put them outside her window, but I bet she'll put them somewhere special! Maybe in the middle of the maze, that's her favourite place in the Palace, and you shouldn't keep birds inside, they need to be outside, and free!
I'm not sure whether I will be able to come out to India this summer. There is a lot going on at the Palace, and Maman and Papa need me here... But, I will talk to them, and see if I can get away just for a little while. Maybe even just two days, for your birthday. It's not a definite, though, but I will try very, very hard to get there.
I have to go now, got to get back to the Palace to see everyone.
