Nora paid particular attention to how she looked. She normally liked to wear muggle clothing. Living with two fashionista's in the house, Nora was forced to pay attention to every single detail about the way she looked. Which wasn't a pain for Nora, as she actually liked trying to look her best when she went out in public. She wouldn't say it out loud to somebody she didn't know, or to somebody she didn't know but she HATED when people just wore t-shirts, and sweatpants. It made them look like they didn't care about society, or themselves. It maybe self-centered, but that was how she looked at life thanks to her two mum's.
So today, having picked out her outfit weeks in advance, she wore a navy strapless dress, with a yellow shrug over it, and a white scarf. Her hair supported her usual braids, just randomly thrown in places on her head. It looked weird, but she rocked it. She liked weird, and didn't care what anybody thought of her. Just what she thought of other people. Since her mother's thought her responsible enough, she was allowed to go to Diagon Alley by herself for the first time ever. She was a tad surprised, but knew she was trustworthy enough to go. She had saved enough money since her third year when she was allowed to go to Hogsmeade in her third year. So the first store she headed towards was the book store.
She supposed this was her typical Ravenclaw self coming out. She loved books, and loved to read. It didn't matter the genre, or what it was about. If it had a cover, and an author, she would read it. Nora looked up and down the store that was wall to wall with books. She smiled. She was in her happy place. She looked at the galleons in her purse that she carried. She had saved for this moment for two years now. TWO YEARS. And this moment was finally here. The moment she lived for. Nora realized how sad that sounded. Normal fifteen year old girls should be out partying with her friends. But Nora didn't have many friends. Or any at all... She had books. And books were good enough.
