| Dimitri was flustered, it was obvious, and Nerisei was enjoying this way too much for her own good. Her eyes followed his every move, and a small smirk was gracing her features. For a guy that didn’t drink much, Dimitri had definitely drank way too much Firewhiskey. Nerisei, of course, didn’t mind, but this action of his proved how much he needed the release from the alcohol, The fire she had been talking about earlier. Not to mention that the more he kept drinking, the more he was loosening up.
So when she had announced his truth, Nerisei waited for him to place the bottle down before taking it and sipping some of the amber liquid herself. A small moan escaped the girl’s lips as the familiar fire burned her throat, before she put the bottle aside once again, waiting for an answer. Truth be told, she didn’t expect Dimitri to answer the question. He was always so… proper, that he would never allow himself to admit something like that, right?
“Well… I… I would… yes…”
At that moment, Nerisei was glad she hadn’t been sipping anything, because she would have definitely choked on it. The witch’s eyes widened and blood rushed to her cheeks. Had he truly answered this? Did he just admit that she had been part of his thoughts in a… not so proper manner? Oh my God, Nerisei thought, unable to form any other coherent thought. Should she feel happy? Honoured? Turned on? Because she was definitely feeling all of the above at that moment. She kept her mouth shut, though, not commenting on anything, because, simply, she didn’t trust herself enough to speak.
It was her turn, though, now, and she had, once again, picked a dare. Nerisei felt incredibly daring this evening, and the alcohol was simply not helping her. Truths made her feel like a total coward, so she had to go with dares. Her phone was taken from her once again as Dimitri tapped on it, waiting for the dare to pop up. The Ravenclaw witch watched Dimitri’s eyes widen, and an eyebrow was raised, curious to see what had upset him so much.
The phone was turned back to her without a word, though, and Neri took it from Dimitri, reading the dare that was meant for her. Was she shocked? Not really. Nervous? Extremely. Excited? Heck yeah.
Kiss the other person's lips until they say stop.
She could forfeit. And for a moment, her eyes darted over to the bottle of Firewhiskey, then back at Dimitri. Who was she kidding? She wanted to kiss him so bad. But the problem was, one, how awkward would it be afterwards? She could, of course, blame it to the alcohol -and the dare- and forget about it the next day, but did she want to do that? Two, she had never kissed anyone before. “Umm…”
Don’t, the voice in her head warned her, but Nerisei’s heart was simply not going to comply. “F-ck this…” Neri mumbled under her breath. Throwing caution to the wind, the Ravenclaw witch leaned over to where Dimitri was sitting, cupping his cheek and pressing her lips firmly against his. Despite the force, the kiss was still soft, since Nerisei had literally no idea what she was doing. Following her instincts was the only thing she could do now. That, and hope Dimitri wouldn’t have a heart attack. |

| Please forfeit.
Please forfeit.
Please forfeit.
The mantra in Dimitri’s head was not showing signs of stopping as he watched Nerisei read what the dare was and… didn’t look too shocked by it. Dimitri’s heart was pounding in his chest, and the Ravenclaw was willing Nerisei to pick up the bottle of Firewhiskey and take a swig in the sign of forfeiting the dare that had just been given.
But the mantra of the male was not heard.
And instead, Nerisei leaned forward and brought her lips to his.
Her hand softly cupping his cheek and, in a manner, reassuring him that this was alright. Dimitri didn’t move as her lips pressed against his, not because he’d frozen in awkwardness, but because he’d frozen with the notion of not having a clue what it was he should be doing. He’d never kissed anyone on the lips before, and this experience was… so, so, very new to him.
Nerisei’s lips were soft, though, something he didn’t find surprising, and with this new level of intimacy, his senses were picking up on everything she was offering him. The way her perfume smelt that much sweeter in this moment, the way her touch on his skin felt much more tender than ever before. The way her lips seemed to match to his almost perfectly, and how she tasted of the alcohol, but on her it tasted nice… sweet, intoxicating…
Bringing his left hand up to Nerisei’s cheek, Dimitri returned the kiss in the softest of manner. No second thoughts in that moment, only moving to press another kiss… to feel the whole experience again…
It wasn’t his dare, no, but Dimitri hadn’t yet told the witch to stop… |

| Her heart was beating so fast that she was sure it would jump out of her chest any second now. Nerisei was kissing Dimitri, She was actually kissing him, and the shocking part was that he had still not pushed her away. Why did she not choose to forfeit? Things would have been much, much simpler if she had just picked up the darn bottle and had taken a sip. But Nerisei’s heart was weak and the temptation overpowered every sense she had in her. The witch had been suppressing her feelings for so long, it was simply impossible to keep herself from kissing him. Plus, the alcohol that she had been consuming just aided to the fact that she wanted him. Nerisei wanted Dimitri.
Their kiss was soft, and hesitant, someone would say. Nerisei had never kissed someone on the lips before, and she truly had no idea whether Dimitri had. Truthfully, she bet he hadn’t, and not because he was a bad kisser. Dimitri was frozen in place as Neri’s lips moved against his, and the witch was almost ready to pull away, even though the dare clearly said that the wizard chose when to stop her. Though, after what seemed like an eternity, Dimitri;s hand came up to cup her cheek, reciprocating the kiss.
Neri inhaled sharply through her nose, getting lost in the feeling of his lips against hers. Her eyes were close, and her mind was wandering, fantasising about things she shouldn’t. Like, how his lips would feel against her neck, or even lower…
The Ravenclaw witch pushed Dimitri on his back, deepening the kiss ever so slightly. She knew this was wrong, in so many ways. She knew that things were definitely not going to be the same after this. But Nerisei couldn’t hide it. She wanted Dimitri. And now that she had a taste, she didn’t know if she would be able to pretend everything was okay.
Pretend that were just friends. |

| The second kiss was just as intoxicating as the first had been, and Dimitri’s head was swimming. He knew, of course, that he should have told Nerisei to stop after the first kiss. He knew he should be telling Nerisei now to stop, but his mind was simply not playing to that line of thought, no, it was playing to the thought of how he didn’t want this to stop.
And, perhaps Nerisei knew that as she pushed him back until he was laid out on the floor, the witch on top of him, still kissing him with soft pecks, and then longer, held kisses that felt like they might last a life time.
They were not perfect, of course, this was Dimitri’s first experience and where he moved slightly to change the angle of the kiss, it sometimes came off a little sloppier than intended. But, this wasn’t about being perfect, no, this was about enjoying his first kissing experience with the witch he’d long since realised he had feelings for.
But, he was too scared to admit to them.
To make them real.
But now they were kissing… now that he knew he wanted to sit and kiss her for the rest of the evening… Dimitri knew he could not longer deny that he had feelings for the witch atop him in that moment.
Before either of them could get lost in the kisses, though, Dimitri pulled away slightly. “Nerisei…” He spoke softly, because he was scared. Scared of admitting he had feelings that he simply could not act upon without eventually hurting her in one manner or another.
But even as he tried to explain to her that they should not be doing anything like this, Dimitri’s lips found Nerisei’s once more, savouring the taste of her lips because he could not, in a million years, let her go. |

| Nerisei was simply lost. But she had never felt happier to be lost. Dimitri was kissing her back. He should have told her to stop, he should have pushed her back and say that it was enough, and Neri would, in truth, understand. She knew this was impossible to happen, yet she couldn’t find herself pulling back either. The kiss was now deepened, and Nerisei found herself straddling the wizard, kissing him with a passion she didn’t know she had. It was dangerous. They were both playing with fire, but it seemed like neither of them cared at that moment.
Neither of them felt like pulling away.
But then Dimitri pulled away softly, and Nerisei felt her heart stop. He was going to tell her to stop. He was going to softly push her away and remind her that they were friends. That this had gone too far, and that there was no chance for them. He was going to tell her once more that he had no feelings for her, and Nerisei would just have to suck it up once again.
“Nerisei…”
The witch stared down at Dimitri, lips swollen from the kiss and eyes shining. He is so hot when he’s flustered, Nerisei thought, but before she had time to say anything, the witch was pulled into another kiss. A moan escaped her lips, but Neri didn’t stop kissing him. With every moment that passed, their kisses became more heated, and definitely less sloppy. It felt as if their bodies were working on their own, since their minds had definitely shut down.
Breaking the kiss for a moment, Nerisei placed small kisses on Dimitri’s jaw, moving down to his neck. “I can’t stop, Dimitri… I don’t want to stop kissing you..”
Neri’s eyes found his once again, and so did her lips.
The game was definitely over.
She had lost. |

| As the insistence to stop this all died on Dimitri’s lips, the boy kept doing what felt right. And right now, kissing Nerisei was the right thing to do. To keep doing, until he could do it no longer. Both of them fell back in to that rhythm, too. Pressing kiss after kiss to one another’s lips until Nerisei pulled away, trailing kisses to his jaw.
The muscle’s tensed softly at the touch of her lips, the new sensation bringing a soft shiver of anticipation down the boy’s back before they moved to his neck. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up with the promise of excitement flooding his system, and Dimitri allowed himself to relax in to her touch.
“I can’t stop, Dimitri… I don’t want to stop kissing you..”
But we must…
Nerisei’s lips claimed Dimitri’s once more and he sighed contentedly against her lips in that moment, his arms wrapping around the Ravenclaw witch’s waist, holding her to him as they continued to press kisses to one another’s lips.
Lost in their kisses, Merlin only knew how long this continued, but Dimitri finally pulled away with a little more finality than the first time, his eyes opening and concentrating on the witch. One hand moved up to softly brush her hair back behind her ear, soft, affectionate and not too fast in the slightest.
“We shouldn’t…” Dimitri shook his head softly. “I’m sorry…” Dimitri added, because he had no idea how this was going to work out. His mind was too fuzzy to try to work out how in Merlin’s name they were going to move forward from this. And yet, even though he was trying to say how they couldn’t be doing this, he was not pulling away from Nerisei, he was still holding her close to him, as his eyes tried to focus on something else.
A time where this could be possible, perhaps… |

| A moment.
Two.
Nerisei had lost track of time completely. And how could she not? When she had come here with Dimitri, she had never believed that they would end up in the position they were now. In each other’s embrace. Kissing. Kissing. Nerisei was still unable to believe that she was kissing Dimitri, even though her lips were currently moving against his. And his was responding to the kiss. He hadn’t stopped her. He was giving in to her, claiming her in a way, and Neri was simply loving it.
All of her senses were flooded. Euphoria. That was all she felt. Dimitri’s arms wrapped themselves around her body, bringing her closer to him, if possible. This was a dream, there was no other explanation. But Nerisei couldn’t, didn’t want to wake up from this. The kisses were becoming too much. The witch could feel her body being set on fire. Everywhere Dimitri touched, tingles followed.
He was bliss.
Eventually, after what felt like years, Dimitri pulled away from her. Neri let out a whine, but didn’t say anything. She had gotten her taste. She had gotten more than what she had hoped for, to be honest.
“We shouldn’t…”
And as the apology came, Neri shook her head. She was positive that DImitri felt incredibly bad right now, but Nerisei didn’t want this to end. Surprisingly, Dimitri didn’t release her. He didn’t kiss her again, but his arms were still around her, reluctant to let go. Neri stared into his eyes, a little hazy from the makeout session that had happened a few moments ago. Nerisei could see it in his eyes, that guilt was slowly covering his features, but she didn’t want him to feel bad. At least for now. She just wanted to enjoy this moment while it lasted. No but’s and if’s. Just them.
“Shh..” Neri murmured, kissing the corner of his mouth ever so softly. “Close your eyes,” the witch instructed, doing the same thing, as she laid her head on his chest comfortably. “Just feel.”
She didn’t want to play. Nerisei just wanted to spend the rest of the night in Dimitri’s arms. Because she knew that the next morning, she would have to go back to how they were. To how they should be, because there was no chance for them out there.
Back to them being what everyone didn’t get.
Just friends. |

| As Nerisei hushed him, pressing a light kiss to the corner of his mouth, Dimitri fell silent, closing his eyes at her request and just… waiting, relaxing as he held the witch close to him and felt the world and all their problems fall away from them.
In this moment, they were not two people who could never be together, they were simply Dimitri and Nerisei. In what form this moment would take past the moment in which it was, Dimitri could not be sure, but he was not worrying about that as he held Nerisei close. Her head rested upon his chest softly as his arms moved to fully envelope her, holding her close to him as he leaned up to place a kiss atop her head.
It seemed like the right thing to do in that moment, and Dimitri was simply working off of the instincts he had in that moment.
“Dare,” Dimitri mumbled softly as he rested his head back on the floor, continuing with the game so he didn’t have to try to fill the silence, or even sit quietly in his own mind space in that moment. Nerisei did seem to be comfortable where she led on top of him, but Dimitri was still trying to work out this.
What it meant.
Where it would leave them.
If it was right… |

| It felt right.
Was it, though?
Neri had no idea if she should be doing this, but her mind had completely shut off at that point. Her heart was beating fast, even though she was completely relaxed. Being in Dimitri’s arms was a new experience. Kissing him had been… way more intense than what the witch had expected. It was definitely better than what she had imagined. How was that even possible? But being in his arms… Being held close by him, was another type of bliss.
His cologne hit her nose, lulling her. Nerisei had never felt safer. Dimitri’s arms wrapped fully around her, and as a small kiss was placed at the top of her head, the Ravenclaw witch sighed happily. She didn’t want to move. She didn’t want to wake up tomorrow and pretend this never happened. She didn’t want to deny her feelings for him any longer.
“Dare,”
The small word escaped Dimitri’s lips, surprising Nerisei. She didn’t expect him to want to play more, after what had just happened. But, as it seemed, Dimitri would live to surprise her every second of her life. Nerisei, though, didn’t move to get her phone. To hell with those dares. She already had one in mind. And it didn’t require much movement.
“Don’t let me go.”
That was all the witch had to say. That was his dare. Whether he would follow through with it, Nerisei couldn’t know. But she only hoped that she hadn’t read the signs wrong again. Because this time, Dimitri would simply not be able to deny the spark that had been ignited between them. |

| Dimitri’s lips moved up in to a smile at the dare that Nerisei had given him, not moving to reach for her phone, the witch simply told him exactly what she wanted in that moment. The fact she was so brazen to all but ask for it -- in the form of a dare -- was something Dimitri admired in his fellow Ravenclaw.
“As you wish,” Dimitri replied, giving her a small kiss and relaxing.
It was the alcohol. A dangerous substance which made Dimitri’s mind lapse, his body take what it wanted, and relax without a second thought. Sober, Dimitri would have exited the dangerous situation much earlier. Insisted that they shouldn’t be doing this. But the alcohol had thrown caution to the wind, and Dimitri was resting with Nerisei in his arms.
Something he had never believed would ever happen.
And, as the seconds turned in to minutes, Dimitri was being pulled away by sleep. Much too relaxed by Nerisei’s presence and the alcohol, the Ravencalw didn’t try to fight it, instead simply allowing sleep to take over his body.
The two of them would spend the evening in the Music Room, entwined with one another, and comfortable despite sleeping on the floor. The two would wake up the next morning -- Dimitri feeling worse for wear, and hungover -- and agree to head back to the common room, to their own beds.
A handful of people would see the two of them returning in the same clothes as the night before, looking more than a little disheveled. Dimitri would bid Nerisei good night -- despite it being morning -- before heading up to his dorm, and collapsing in to bed. Exhausted, groggy, and full of a headache.
But, for the first time in his life, feeling like a normal human being.
Because there was no denying now that Dimitri Moreau had deep feelings for the Ravenclaw witch, and he would never be able to hide them from her again.
