| The rest of the term had gone by in a flash, truthfully. Elenore and Kit had spent much more time together than they had previously with the man opening up more and more about himself. Learning more about the man had been interesting, and slowly the image of one Kevin Harrington was replaced clearly with the man that was Kenneth Harrington. The witch had grown more and more comfortable with each day that passed, and so too, she hoped, had Kit.
Learning about him and everything about Kit's life had been refreshing. The experiences he'd had, the art he'd produced through the years, things that excited him that she hadn't previously been aware of. It had truly shown the witch that this man, the real man she'd spent so much time with over the last three years was the one that she wanted to spend more of her time with. Kit just... got her. His artistic understanding linked so well with her own that she never felt she needed to explain herself at all. It was a welcome breath of fresh air that she'd needed.
But as their graduation ceremony loomed, the witch had realised that this was... perhaps, where things would change.
She had already decided upon a Masters with Julliards, whereas Kit... he'd achieved what he wanted to. It had left Elenore with the worry of what happened next. Where would Kit go? Would he still wish to see her, perhaps each weekend? The idea of suggesting he stay with her had been too much for her to ask for him. Too forward, so the witch had pushed the idea aside. If Kit wanted to stay... he would tell her so.
Which had left the flurry that came with end of year exams, and then finally, the graduation day.
Elenore had passed on the opportunity to play on the day -- something that had not gone down well with the President. He hadn't understood her when she'd pointed out that her music did not side with the envisaged theme for the day, and that others would be better suited to it. The President hadn't known what to say to her point, and left red faced. Elenore hadn't paid much attention to that, though, instead returning to her own works which had... taken a slightly brighter note in the past few weeks, before returning to compositions that would confuse a mind who did not understand each individual key stroke.
Kit had been the only one who hadn't questioned her polite refusal of the President. His eyes had simply shown he understood exactly what she'd meant as she'd explained it back to him. Understanding, and something else Elenore hadn't quite grasped as he pulled her close and kissed her deeply when she'd finished the explanation. A kiss that had left her much too breathless when the man had pulled away with another look in his eyes that she hadn't been able to make out.
Graduation Day had come, though, and the duo had donned their cap and gowns over their formal attire with quiet excitement. Their friends from university would be spending the afternoon entertaining their class of graduates. Kit had arranged to meet her at the entrance of the university, and the man had not lied as he helped her from the car as she arrived. "Thank you," the witch would say as she took the man's arm, smiling warmly towards him to show that she meant it.
Together, the duo would head through to the reception area where drinks and canapes were on offer for each of them to enjoy. Taking up a glass as they entered, the duo looked around for a spot, before spotting Kate and Madison who were waving them over. Heading in their direction, Kit and Elenore would greet them both warmly, the girls taking a moment to admire each other's attire, and complementing Kit before they took their seats, and broke out in gentle conversation about their days, and the tiring work it was to be ready for these events in so little time.
They had very little time to wait, though, the proceedings kicked off in much too timely a manner. The recitals for the final show had been going on for weeks, which had just been another reason Elenore had refused. All the time that would have been needed to be ready would have meant she would have had to have been away from Kit, and she couldn't allow that. Entwining her fingers with the man's as the President got up to welcome them to the event, Elenore readied herself for the spectacle that was about to take place.
*** Three hours of performances later, and it was done. The graduates had each been given their degrees from the university, the awards had been presented (for which Elenore had won the same one she'd won the previous year, much to her own embarrassment with the school). They'd been ushered through the photo booths to ensure the university had their own records of the various actors and musicians that may one day make it, until finally they were free from it all.
"So, who wants to go out tonight? To celebrate!" Madison asked, looking hopefully to Elenore and Kit in the process. "Please don't ditch us..."
"Well," Elenore started, looking to Kit to see what he might want to do. Once again, they had not spoken about the plans for the evening, and she was at a loss for what they would be doing that evening. It would go without saying, though, that Elenore would follow the man in to whatever he wanted to do that evening.Elenore's Outfit (Below Cape) ________________________________________________

| "Well Maurice, it's been a pleasure."
The man stood outside his little hole in the wall, locking the low door and making sure it melted back into the brick surface of the wall. The homeless man peering at him didn't seem to notice or care for the slight display of magic. He was probably on some kind of hallucinogens that made the small concealment charm look positively tame in comparison to what was going on in his head.
"Where's the pretty lady?" Maurice managed blearily, now looking to the wizard's side. On this one, Kit couldn't blame him. In the last few months, Maurice had gotten used to seeing Elenore by his side. By both his sides. The redhead he pretended to be for school and his real self that now stood locking up the small hidden area for good.
"She's waiting for me, dude," The dark haired photographer managed, saying the words with an unexpected warmth in his tone. The idea of Elenore waiting for him still filled him with incitement and content. How fortune had smiled on him.
Taking a look around, Kit made certain that no one save Maurice was in the area before he drew the flask from his trouser pocket, hopefully for the last time. Dawning the potion in one gulp, he waited for the discomfit of transformation to pass.
"And what about that guy?£ Maurice pointed out, trying his hardest to focus before giving up. The homeless veteran lay back down on his makeshift sleeping bag, looking up at the summer sky instead.
"Him too," Kit confirmed, taking a few steps towards his doorman of three years and kneeling down to place a small ribbon tied box by his side. He might be the one graduating but Maurice deserved the gift more. "Don't shoot it all up your veins okay bud?"
Maurice merely groaned, ignoring both the gift and sifter. Kit didn't mind, now there was no witness to see him disappear with a soft crack. The dirty street melted into a pristine alleyway that would eventually open out into the wider street leading to the entrance of Julliard.
*** The redhead met Elenore as promised, still amazed at how easily she gave her hand to his, how comfortably she stood by his side knowing who he was, how naturally she played it off in front of their peers.
But today would be the last day she would have to pretend for his sake. He would make sure of that.
The ceremony began as expected, their different last names keeping them from sitting anywhere near each other. But after a grueling three hours he was able to catch up with her again. Upon reaching her, the man produced a single rose stalk from his pocket, handing it to her gently. "Congratulations," he uttered softly, kissing her hand. Before the witch had a moment to reply, her friends descended on them both.
"So, who wants to go out tonight? To celebrate!"
"Well,"
"Please don't ditch us..."
"I wouldn't dream of it," the man replied easily before giving the girls a wink. "Unless it was in your best interest."
"What do you mean, the thin blonde dance major asked, ehr eyes full of excitement. Her friend who was a singing major didn't say anything but looked interested non the less.
"Well..." he began, motioning sideways with his head to a group of boys chattering among themselves. "I heard those gentleman over there express an interest in both of you... So you could join Tuesdays and myself for a boring dinner somewhere fancy or..." he didn't have to finish the sentence. Clearly the girls wanted more than just food.
Both girls turned to each other, nodded, then as one turned back to Elenore. "Sorry El... raincheck?" And even before the French brunette could wave them off, they had moved to the direction of the appreciative males waiting a few feet away.
"Oh no, it looks like your friends ditched us," Kit pretended to be hurt as he reached for Elenore's hand instinctively. "Shall we drown our sorrows in champagne? I've asked them to keep some chilled for us at the Plaza."
The young graduate's soft brown eyes lit up slightly at the mention of a place she deemed to be worth dining at it. Kit found himself smirking slightly as she nodded, allowing him to lead the way to their hired limousine waiting outside. Today was her day, and she would have everything her way. ________________________________________________Come plot with me! <3

| "I wouldn't dream of it," the man replied easily before giving the girls a wink. "Unless it was in your best interest."
Even Elenore's gaze turned curious at Kit's statement. She was completely unsure as to what that statement meant as she gazed upon his features trying to decipher. The slight nod of his head towards a group of boys within the ceremony had Elenore looking over in their direction. Dance majors, singing majors and a pianist stood together, talking excitedly and looking over intermittently at Kate and Maddison. A smile touched the French witch's lips as she looked back to her friends who were having the situation explained to them. Over the last three years, neither Kate or Maddison had had anything close to a boyfriend, concentrating instead on their studies or partaking in activities Elenore hadn't truly acknowledged.
It seemed that tonight would be no different, either.
"Sorry El... raincheck?"
It went without saying that Elenore would not hold them back, and after giving each of her friends a warm hug, they were on their way to the group of boys who had undoubtedly been waiting for them to make a move. Though, not before Maddison had whispered a soft 'good luck tonight' in the French witch's ears. Not knowing what that meant, Elenore had watched them move over with the confidence Elenore had never felt around boys her own age. They slid in to the group as if it were nothing, and shortly after, the now mixed group was heading towards the doors on to the party they would spend the rest of the evening.
"Oh no, it looks like your friends ditched us,"
"A terrible shame..." Elenore had replied softly, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes at the small joke they were sharing.
"Shall we drown our sorrows in champagne? I've asked them to keep some chilled for us at the Plaza."
Of all the things Elenore had been expecting of the night of graduation, the Plaza had not been one of them. The girls had spoken of the 'all night' parties they could attend. Other people had mentioned the 'official' party held by Julliards. Others had suggested various things they would be doing with their boyfriends and girlfriends that evening. A scant few had said they would be leaving for home straight after the ceremony. But nobody was heading to the Plaza. The happiness filled Elenore's features at the fact Kit had thought to bring her somewhere that would be meaningful for her, and she couldn't help but be thankful for the man by her side.
"That sounds wonderful!" Elenore replied, allowing Kit to lead them from the ceremony and out to the main entrance of Julliard. There, a limousine awaited them. Elenore had been more than comfortable as they had entered the vehicle, the glass of champagne already waiting for them. They had each taken a glass for themselves, and gently sipped from the glass as they limousine pulled off toward the hotel Kit had mentioned. Technically, it was only a five minute drive, but the man beside her had clearly asked the driver to drive around for a little while longer as they passed some of the landmarks of New York. Other people might have taken the opportunity to take them in, but Elenore's eyes stayed within the vehicle.
Or more specifically on Kit.
"To never having to pretend again!" Elenore toasted gently, the notion a welcome one. In the months she'd known of Kit's true identity, it had been hard, watching him change himself to fit in. Hiding his true self from their friends because he couldn't just change his appearance around the Muggles of New York. But they wouldn't have to do that any more. They could just be themselves, in whatever form that would take. The toast was only small, but it would convey the witch's thanks for everything that had happened so far.
They settled in to a conversation of what they both thought Kate and Maddison would be getting up to that evening. Elenore trying to decide what New York delicacy they would end up eating, Kit hoping they would get home safely by the end of it. Elenore's conclusion had been that neither would be getting the treat she was as they pulled up to the Plaza.
The hotel boasted it's usual extravagance, and upon pulling up, their driver had helped them from the car. Elenore had taken the hotel in with appreciation as she waited for Kit to join her on the sidewalk, the smile blossoming anew on her features as she did. With her hand back safely in Kit's, they had walked up the front steps of the hotel to be greeted by the concierge. After providing his name, and a look of recognition between the two of them, they had been shown to their table.
Champagne was poured as they sat, their window seat providing views out across Central Park, creating the perfect backdrop for their celebration of graduating one of the most prestigious arts schools in the world. It could not have been planned better, which was precisely why Elenore had a question the moment they had been left on their own by the waiter with the menus to decide upon their food.
"How long have you been planning this?" The witch asked, genuinely curious for Kit's answer. If it had been booked by her, there would have been no need to plan. The mention of her family would have been enough to send the staff running to find a table, or evacuate a guest who was not worthy of staying in the hotel if she was coming. But, as far as the witch was aware, Kit's name did not... hold quite so much sway. The answer was important to the witch, wanting to understand the importance with which the man opposite her had held this day, even if she would not voice such things aloud. ________________________________________________

| Tuesday - as expected - wasn't too upset at her friends disappearing and the journey to the plaza was spent in good cheer and anticipation. When Elenore proposed a toast to never having to pretend again, the man could not agree more. The decision to don the persona of a young man had been out of need, but the decision to end it was because the young woman sitting beside him had somehow managed to except Kit Harrington just the way he was.
When they arrived, they were ushered in by the waiting staff, to a table decked just the way Elenore would have liked it. Exquisite china, sparkling silverware, gleaming candlesticks and hand scripted cursive menus. Kit had to hand it to the establishment, they were impressive when they really meant it.
And today, they would all be in service of the young brunette who had graduated with an above perfect GPA.
"How long have you been planning this?"
"Well Madame," the man replied with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I would say I've been planning this forever but alas, you may not find that entirely honest." As if this cussed him great pain, he corrected himself. "So I suppose a month will do." He would give the girl a smug grin to show his expressions were a mere jest.
"However, if you would allow me a few minutes, I would like to go get changed while you browse the emus. Today, you get to choose what I eat." Reaching across the table, he took Elenore's slim hand in his, brushing his lips slightly to her knuckles in assurance before he left the table.
Should she do as instructed and look at the menu, she would find it all in French, not an English word in sight.
It was her day after all.
The photographer would return ten minutes later, no longer in the body of a redheaded, twenty something student but as himself, dressed in a suit and tie as befitting the occasion but not quite as clean shaven as expected of this institution. However, no one batted an eye as the famous Kit Harrington walked into the restaurant to join the French witch who had been accompanied by a much younger man only ten minutes ago.
And he did not return empty handed.
"May I?" he asked, nearing the chair he had vacated not long ago. "A lovely lady such as yourself shouldn't be dining alone." His face, height and age may have changed but the twinkle in his eye was the same. Should Elenore conceded his point, he would sit opposite her once more, placing a leather bound booklet of some sort between them.
"I couldn't decide on a graduation present for you... so I thought it best to let you choose one on your own."
Within the book were photos, photos he had taken over the last few months of various homes in California. Modern homes with fully equipped music rooms, country homes with sizable stables for housing horses, luxury homes in la to Ranches in Nevada. On the very last page, written in his looping script were the words.
"Darling Elenore, would you like to move in with me?" ________________________________________________Come plot with me! <3

| The answer to her question came first in jest. The notion that Kit had been planning this all forever made her tummy knot slightly with a feeling that never happened with anyone except him. The feeling that she was the centre of his world and nothing else mattered. The feeling that still threw the French witch off guard because she'd never been made to feel this way.
The correction to a month was not going to deter those feelings either as the smile grew upon her lips. "A month sounds more than ample," she would reply, trying to hide her gratitude in that moment but failing miserably.
"However, if you would allow me a few minutes, I would like to go get changed while you browse the emus. Today, you get to choose what I eat."
The soft kiss upon her knuckles made the witch's cheeks colour softly as he publicly made her feel loved in that manner. It was one of many things the witch could not explain as she watched the redheaded teen leave the room. Only when he'd disappeared from view did Elenore realise the words he'd spoken. She would be choosing their dinner that evening. Something that had always been Kit's to decide was now left with her.
The witch had taken a moment to marvel at his faith in her before turning to the menus he'd mentioned. Menus that were finely written by a calligrapher and not a machine. A menu that was... Elenore's eyes blurred for a moment's tears touching at her eyes with the gratitude of the moment. Each dish written with its french name, and explanations beneath all in her home language. Kit had seen to it that this evening would be perfect, and so far he was not falling short by any stretch of the immagination.
The witch had taken little time to find some of her favoured dishes on the menu. Coquilles Saint-Jacques to start, confit de canard for her main and a boeuf bourgiunon for Kit and then finally the witch had become stuck between the soufflé and the creme brulé. The waiter had suggested she order both, and that if she wished it, she could share with her companion. Elenore might have been offended by such a notion three years ago. But the idea of sharing food with Kit, in a public place, as suggested by the staff only served to remind her that America was much more forgiving than the rest of the world. As the waiter moved to take the menus, Elenore held out her hand to stop him. "I will be keeping those, thank you." The witch insisted.
For the first time in her life, shed found the value in something, and she was not going to have the staff take it away.
"May I?"
The witch's attention was upon the menus still when Kit returned. Simply reading through the French and drinking in the feeling of home that came with it. The sound of the man's voice had made her look up from them, finding the man she'd been waiting as himself. The suit and tie making him look very handsome as she nodded. "I would love you to, Monsieur."
The leather bound book laid between them as Kit sat down. Not too dissimilar to that of the menus here, but different enough for the witch to know that it was not one. The explanation, or rather, lack of explanation made the witch's features school in to one of curiosity. Elenore's eyes moved up to Kit's, finding the same excited twinkle in them before he nodded for her to take the bound document.
Reaching to the bound booklet, Elenore brought it towards her before opening it to the first page.
The first page was a modern home, with architecture clearly from this decade with its minimalist design. It boasted a lot of land if the pictures were to be believed. The master bedroom was one that Elenore couldn't quite grasp the design of. The lounge had a modern fire place inside it, built in to the wall and the kitchen looked vast. It was situated in LA the notes said. But it was none of that that caught the witch's eye. Instead it was the picture with the grand piano within it. The violin. A guitar. Sound recording equipment...
"Je ne comprend pas."
Elenore's eyes moved back to Kit and he motioned for her to turn the page.
The witch did. This time a country home came to view. The décor was much more classic in nature. It looked warmer than the first one had. This one was outside of LA, and it spoke to Elenore a little more when she noticed the picture in the bottom right.
"Horses..." Elenore managed, and she could feel the smile upon her companions lips as her fingers traced the page. It had been much too long since she'd been riding. She missed it terribly.
Without prompting the witch turned the page to find a house in the mountains. It was more contemporary, and the views were beautiful to behold. This house was not dissimilar to the house they'd spent a weekend in last Valentine's Day, only bigger, and with its own piano too.
The witch moved through the brochure, taking in the pictures fully on each page so as not to miss anything before her. Perhaps they were going on vacation tonight, and she had to choose where they were going? All of them seemed to be in LA, or close by.
But Elenore hadn't been ready for the last page.
Darling Elenore, would you like to move in with me? She froze.
Unable to comprehend everything in that moment. Her mind trying to find an answer as she looked back at Kit's handwriting on the last page.
Would she like to move in with him?
The witch's eyes moved from the booklet to Kit. It would be clear he had caught her off guard. It would be clear that this hadn't been expected from her, and finally the witch's eyes would convey that she had been so deeply touched by his offer that he'd rendered her silent with it.
Her hand moved from the page to find his. Stability in his assured companionship that would help her in that moment.
"If..." The witch started, though her voice didn't manage to hold as it tried to deal with all the emotion. "If you would like me to live with you..."
She took a moment, collecting herself.
"I've been worrying over what would happen between us now since we were told when the graduation ceremony would be. Trying to find the right time to ask you if you would stay with me..."
Elenore could see the uncertainty start to touch the man's features.
"Oui, Kit, oui! I will move in with you!" Elenore finally confirmed, watching the relief flood through the man's body with the answer he'd been waiting to here. "But I don't know which home I like the most..." She confided, though her eyes didn't move to the brochure, only remaining upon the man before her who had just offered her the one thing she'd always longed for.
A home. ________________________________________________

| The decision to ask Elenore to take this monumental step with him had not been an easy one. Throughout his years, Kit had known many women, some more intimately than others. However he had only ever agreed to live with two of them. Clara had moved in due to necessity rather than personal preference and the other... That was not worth comparing.
The very thought had first made the man realize how selfish of an ask it would be. Elenore's life was in New York. Her school was here, her friends were here, her puppies were here. But the part of him that eventuality prevailed through the thinly veiled excuse of logic had done its part. She could study remotely, she wasn't attached to her friends as prominently as someone her age should be and the puppies could settle anywhere. Hell the French witch didn't even seem sold on the idea of New York after three years of living in it.
And thus a plan had begun to form nearly six weeks before graduation. A plan which seemed impossible at first but which grew more real each time they met and she didn't object, each time she reached for his hand unprompted and each time she didn't push him away when he kissed her.
But just because he was the one doing the asking did not mean Tuesday would have no say in it. She would be at full liberty to decline, say no. And if that were to happen, he would simply stick around New York if she wanted him. A part of him hoped she might see sense and decide to pursue other options but a much larger part hoped that she would say yes.
And she had. As she looked through the houses he had picked out (certain that he did not want to burden her psyche with a new start at the Carmel home), only the general state address would be the same. Otherwise she had free reign to pick whatever style of home she felt comfortable in. Ever the traveler, Kit could pitch a tent or find a hole in the wall anywhere but Elenore was a Lady.
And she deserved a home befitting that, a place where she would be happy.
The admission that she had been thinking along the same lines warmed his heart to no end. To realize they were in sync meant the world to the man as his face broke out in a boyish grin. His brain always worked overtime to remind him how different they were and Elenore... she worked overtime to achieve the exact opposite.
Bringing him a sense of peace and balance he had never experienced before.
"You cannot imagine how happy you've made me by saying that," he replied sincerely, clasping her hand in his.
How long they remained that way, hand in hand and gazing at each other, Kit didn't know. The man only broke eye contact when their food began to arrive. It seemed Elenore had made her choice on both counts.
"I'm guessing no French fries in this selection," he joked, viewing the photo finish plating of each dish. "Why don't you tell me which ones you're particularly fond of, and what you'd like me to try first." ________________________________________________Come plot with me! <3

| "You cannot imagine how happy you've made me by saying that,"
"I don't think you understand how happy you've made me by asking me to stay with you," the witch returned in kind as the man's hand came to rest upon hers. The tenderness was the same as it always had been, and the witch couldn't help but smile warmly back at the man in that moment. No words were needed further than that. The agreement would be enough for now. Elenore could peruse the pictures later, because all that mattered in that moment was that someone wanted her in their life. Kit wanted her in his life.
She didn't need anything more.
It was almost a shame, therefore, when the food came out. Their hands separated to make room for the waiter to lay down their starters before them. The witch took in the meal which -- unlike any of Kit's previous choices -- showed why this establishment was so well known for it's food. The plate was picturesque in it's plating, and Elenore couldn't help but be grateful for them having ended up here for the evening rather than out with her friends.
"I'm guessing no French fries in this selection,"
Elenore let out a soft laugh at that much, gently shaking her head to show that Kit would not be getting any French fries that evening. "Unfortunately not, Monsieur." She replied, amusements still playing upon her features as he took in the dish. The question made Elenore pause for a second, realising that perhaps the man before her hadn't tried this classically French dish. "This is Coquille St. Jacques." The witch provided, and finding little to recognition in the man's features, she continued.
"It's scallops, sautéed with mushrooms." Elenore explained. "Always served in the shells for artistic effect." Lifting her knife and fork, the witch carefully tucked in to the food, taking a moment to savour the much more mature palate that this offered to the food usually consumed with the man. It was not quite as good as the food at the Palace of Versailles, but the witch had found very little food did live up to that.
The next hour or so continued in much the same manner. Elenore presenting Kit with a dish from her home country, and them eating through it together. The witch had shared her duck with the man, insisting he try it, and Kit insisting she try his beef. It had been an easy night, one that made the witch feel lighter with so many familiar items on the menu. The piano in the corner of the room was softly playing throughout the whole evening, creating a great atmosphere to celebrate the finality of your degree.
With the final mouthful of creme brulé swallowed, the realisation that the meal had come to an end dawned upon the witch.
"So, what is your plan from now? You have a degree in the arts... Do you plan to use it?"
It was a gentle question to try to understand what Kit had planned for them. He knew her plan was to continue on with her studies to obtain a Masters from Juliard, but the same was likely not true of her companion, and she would be remiss not to ask. But it also opened up for the question of what they were going to do now, next this evening, if he so wished to focus less on the future. ________________________________________________

| The meal progressed as if in a dream, Kit enjoying the young witch's stories more than the food. Normally, the world was only treated to this side of Elenore Clement when she was absorbed in her music, completely in charge of her universe and those she allowed to breach its privacy. Tonight however, as he observed the young woman explaining the foods, the histories, all the little things that tied her to her heritage, a part of him wondered if he hadn't been unjust.
Being French was just as much a part of her as her last name. Her family was synonymous with power, prestige and European aristocracy and yet... here she was, all that in the past, trying to fend something he hoped she knew to look for.
Once upon a time, a similar girl had come to the new world to try an find Chrysler. She had not been strong enough to fight for what she believed in.
His Elenore was.
"So, what is your plan from now? You have a degree in the arts... Do you plan to use it?"
The wizard tugged himself out of his own thoughts, giving the question due contemplation. His degree had just been an excuse, one that had yielded greater results than he could have ever deemed possible. But would it affect his professional aspirations? He doubted that somewhat.
"Truthfully, I doubt I could advance further in my career," he admitted when the dessert plates were cleared, leaving the table free for him to reach across and grasp her slim palm in his. "I don't think I even want to," he admitted, keeping his promise of honesty to her in mind as he spoke.
"I have spent a lifetime doing things I thought I wanted. I have worked, I have traveled, I have raised children and I have known both joy and sorrow." He paused, looking at the slender witch across from him who was studying his features as intently as if she was sit sat in class, taking mental notes of a particularly difficult lecture.
"Now, whenever my mind turns towards the future, I find myself yearning for only one thing." His words laced with cautious honesty, the man spoke next, wondering if it was the right thing to say.
But he had lied to her enough for one lifetime, and he could no longer stand to do it again.
"To make you as happy as humanly possible, and even beyond that. This is the only thing I wish to do now, for as long as I live."
The man averted his gaze from her, not wanting to see her discomfort or even fear at such a confession. It was too soon, she was too young. She knew nothing of the world or the kind of happiness out there for her. But at least this was his way of saying that the proverbial ball was in her count. She would get everything she wanted from this relationship, at her pace, in her way. ________________________________________________Come plot with me! <3

| "Truthfully, I doubt I could advance further in my career,"
Elenore nodded at that much, after finding out the man's true identity the witch had also found out about his career as a photographer. The pictures Kevin had taken over the last few years now made complete sense because Kit was a world renowned photographer. There wasn't really anything more he could do in that field. His career was made, and it had perhaps been a poor question on her behalf. So used to her peers asking that question, it had been one that felt right.
But they were so very different from their peers.
Something that the witch was reminded of as Kit took her hand, letting her know he had no interest in furthering his career because he'd already done so much in his life. Elenore listened intently as he continued on, her fingers gently squeezing his hand to show her appreciation for the honesty he was providing her in that moment. The honesty that he said he'd thought he'd done everything he'd wanted to up until now.
Except... the underlying message was clear that he hadn't done what he wanted to.
"Now, whenever my mind turns towards the future, I find myself yearning for only one thing."
The witch's mind jumped ahead, as her heart skipped a beat, and then two. The quick flutter that it came back with was enough to make her feel light headed even before Kit spoke again. With the words that the young French witch would always find herself wanting, no needing to hear from the man.
That he wanted her.
The smile would blossom upon the witch's lips as he spoke, and grow even more as his eyes moved away from her in that moment. Elenore took a moment to take the man in, his sincerity was not a question, and the way he made her swell with warmth. Running her thumb across the back of Kit's hand gently, until he looked back towards her, the witch nodded gently to show she understood what he was saying. That what he was saying was something she would willingly accept.
Averting her eyes from the man to check if anyone was too close to them, Elenore took a moment to be sure she couldn't be overheard before she leant in a little closer to the man, her voice lowering in that moment to make absolutely sure they wouldn't be overheard in the restaurant.
"We don't need to put such longevity on these things..." Elenore replied, her eyes faltering in their contact with the man in that moment because as a lady it was very difficult to say such things aloud. "But tonight..."
It would be all the witch could say before she lost the confidence in being so forward, but as her eyes came back up to Kit's, it would show that she was quite sure. That she wanted him to take the reigns a little bit.
That she wanted him to take her somewhere else.
Somewhere private.
To see where his plans took them. ________________________________________________

| The man doubted he would have had the courage to look up at her had he not felt the touch of her skin against his. But Elenore had indeed reached out, her long fingers stroking his hand with the same attention they did the keys of her grand piano. Surely she wouldn't have found his admission that objectionable if she was still here?
Raising his dark gaze to hers, Kit found her smiling. The kind of smile he wanted to see adorned on her features forever. Elenore Clement was a creature of pure beauty, there was no doubt in that. But when she smiled the way she was smiling now, the brunette transcended beauty. She became an emotion that was hard to pinpoint.
Hard to capture in a frame, hard to paint on canvas, hard to write into song.
And impossible to live without.
"We don't need to put such longevity on these things..."
A touch of confusion made itself known on his face as he contemplated her words. What kind of longevity did she mean? Thankfully, he was spared from asking when the witch whispered her final words.
The surprise at her own interest made him blink once, then twice. The man had to wait a beat to make certain he had heard the words he thought he had.
"Do you mean..?"
He received an answer in the witch's lowered lashes, the familiar soft pink dusting her cheeks as she non verbally confirmed what she had said earlier.
A volley of emotion rose inside the artist. Joy, trepidation, concern, lust, victory, awe.
And gratitude. More humility and gratitude than he could have ever felt for any outcome in the world. To love this woman was one thing, to have the feeling reciprocated was almost enough to make Kit Harrington believe in a deity.
"If you're certain that is what you want..." he whispered, once again trying to gauge her reaction. The nod that came from her was slight but pronounced enough to make her point clear.
Getting to his feet, the man offered her a hand, grasping her small palm in his. Together, the two made their way towards the grand lobby with its multiple, gleaming elevators - Elenore tucked closely by his side.
Where she would remain for the rest of the evening. ________________________________________________Come plot with me! <3
