BackgroundSumire's mother died when she was born as she had a sickness in her lungs that killed her that day in August. Despite this tragedy opening her to the world she had a strong female presence that served as a mother, later becoming her step-mother too, to make sure she lost out on none of the beautiful experience that was having a feminine influence. However, her father made sure that although she was to remember her Indian roots, she was able to have her own mind. At a young age she took up avid reading, sitting curled up in the window pane of their apartment once she was able to learn to read. The first book that wasn't a preliminary to longer ones was her birth-mother's book: "The Butterfly of Summer and Other Love Stories". This gave Sumire something of a hopeless romantic view on life.
At four years old, Sumire's strong female presence, Constance, and Kuvi married in Kolkata. Four years after that, an event would occur between Constance and Kuvi that would drive Constance to staying in Kolkata with the other Sidhir families to explore the Indian culture. Sumire would be sad, but Constance would pick up using technology to stay close to her daughter and Kuvi would also pick up the lack of maternal presence. In some instances, Kuvi would take weeks off of work to just stay around and mold himself to his daughter's hectic theater and scholar schedule. He desperately loves his daughter and would devote himself to making sure his daughter was happy in all she did.
At ten years old her magical abilities were discovered on a trip to England, they had been walking around Muggle London when she was able to use a Summoning Charm to draw a dog that was about to be hit by a bus towards her from sixty feet away. Her father was proud but also had a sit down with the England Magical Authorities to thoroughly explain her gifts. He told them that there was a school that would take her in a develop her talents. She begged her father to allow her to go, and he permitted it as long as she did weekly check-ins (she'd make these daily check-in's). Their week long trip to England would extend in to a month long trip to prepare her for the upcoming school year.
Also to make up for her lack of siblings her father was unable to deny her whatever pet she wanted, she's a bit spoilt but she knows the value of her own spending money.
From her age of eleven, Kuvi engaged her to another half-Indian, half-American with a prestigious background, who was two years older than her named Felix Nadir. Although she's not fully into him, she writes a multitude of letters to try and form a relationship with him and she does have some sort of crush on him especially as he's grown rather handsome to her.
Eventually she's to find out that her mother was also half-Veela, and that was part of the reason why Kuvi and Ageha's courtship was so short, and she's a fourth Veela.

Family Background
Kuvi Sidhir was thirty-four when he met twenty-two year old Ageha Otoro, a beautiful and elusive muggle woman. He had been born in a Hindu family, attended an Indian magical academy for boys with ancestors who had originally been born and raised in the Brahman caste three generations before his own birth. Kuvi's grandfather had been a warrior and therefore still a noble. They were able to make a large amount of money in the oil business in the Middle East, and started investing in other stocks that made the Sidhir family one of the richest in India. Kuvi was the youngest of eight, his eldest brother took over the business, and the other branches were given to the youngers. After graduating with his PhD in Economics, Kuvi was given the New York Branch of Sidhir Incorporations, which also dabbled in publishing.
Through the publishing part of Sidhir Incorporations, Kuvi at the age of thirty-four met Ageha Otoro, an aspiring author of poetry and Japanese books. Although his family had insisted he marry another Indian pureblood, he rejected it. They didn't find the need to push as his other brothers were able to fulfil that duty. In that way and his later actions with Ageha, it would be clear that he was something like the black sheep of the family even if he was a wildly successful man. He would marry her within six months of meeting her, despite her vehement protests to do so and get her book "The Butterfly of Summer and Other Love Stories" published and a top seller. Six months into being married they'd try to have children, but fail and stop for a few more months. When it was discovered that Ageha had lung cancer, they also found out she was two weeks pregnant with Sumire. During her pregnancy and sickness Kuvi and Ageha spent it in Kolkata; the Sidhir family accepted Ageha as an honory member of the family, finding her to be lovely and cherishing her presence.
Upon her death after giving birth to her daughter, Ageha would be buried in her family plot of land in Yokohoma, Japan. Kuvi made sure that there was a memorial stone put in for her in the Sidhir family graveyard. Heartbroken but determined to not give the one piece of Ageha still alive, Kuvi remarried a young aspiring stockbroker, Constance Francis. When Sumire was four she was the flower girl at their Indian wedding in Kolkata. Kuvi learned to have a deep amount of affection for Constance, not loving her the same as Ageha. This was perfectly okay with Constance, who was overjoyed to just have a daughter and a family. When Sumire was eight, Constance quit her job to take up adopting to the Indian culture and staying with the Sidhir's; most of her motherly experience after Constance left to stay in Kolkata was done thorugh the phone after that. The main reason for the moving of Constance was mostly due to the miscarriage of triplets after being in the middle of the second trimester, it had been stress from working on Wall Street that killed the triplets and fearing termination of their marriage, Constance assured Kuvi she was fine and left for Kolkata.
From then on out, Sumire and Kuvi were able to create a strong father-daughter bond that would be unbreakable effortlessly.
