The day seemed to be dragging on and Lucy was becoming increasingly bored. She'd finished her homework with buckets of time to spare, and all her friends, except for a noted few who had recently become busy for the moment, had become too dull for her to want to be around anymore. In fact, she was finding that she missed her sister, and her family for one of the first times in a long time.
So she opted for a walk around the grounds, something that had always worked to clear her mind and allow the worries of the girl drama (that yes, she had facilitated and even contributed to, but sometimes even those that thrive from drama need a break from it every now and then), and the worries from school. She figured that the serenity of the Black Lake would do her well. She walked along the edge, deciding to take her shoes off and dip her feet in the water.
