| Shopping in Muggle England was the best thing that Adaline had thought of doing. Seeing as Magical Britain didn't really have that many shops that catered to pregnant woman and fashionable clothes, she took quite a few galleons from Gringotts, changed them into muggle currency and left for Muggle London through the Leaky Cauldron.
Now the pregnant woman was currently walking through the shopping district in London and peering into countless of shops before finally deciding on stepping into the first one and then moving through them one by one.
She had at first came to muggle London to buy herself some pregnancy clothes but when she saw the cute baby clothes, she forgot herself and started buying things from onesies to jump-suits to jumpers all in neutral colours of course.
By the time she had half of her shopping finished and she was sitting in a cafe, she already had quite a few bags filled with baby clothes as well as some blankets and a few toys and also quite a few books that spoke about pregnancy.
Sipping on her tea, she wondered where she should go next. |

| Kai had been out with Macee, his little sister, who occasionally turned out to be nicer than the brat she portrayed. He'd missed her this past year, as the girl attended Beauxbaxtons. How? He wasn't sure, but she did. The first day of summer, when he'd seen her, he'd noted the change in her. She'd grown to become more of a woman and less of a child. Her blonde hair was longer, and radiated more. Her skin, just a tad darker and as clear as always. She was the true definition of a model. Her facial structure and eye colour favoured his, just as her skin did, but that was it. Both Reid children were the spitting image of their father.
He had agreed to take her shopping in England, and when he saw her, he stopped. He didn't want Macee to see her because she'd say something. Any of his family would say something. He'd been so careful to keep their issue a secret but somehow, his family knew before he'd even arrived home. Did rumours really spread through Hogwarts like wildfire?
Pushing his sister off, into a nearby boutique to shop, he walked over to the cafe, where he could see her through the window. Pushing open the door, he walked over to her a sat across from her.
"Hey," he smiled, not sure what else to say. He didn't look to notice if she had grown bigger, in fact, he almost didn't want to know. However, despite the panic rushing through his head, he remained calm. "How are things? Do your...um parents know?" He asked, wondering if maybe her parents told his or maybe she told his parents. Maybe it was a trap to make sure he stayed to help her. To be honest, he wanted to help, he wanted to be with her. What guy wouldn't? But he could never admit that, not with his popularity among their party status. |

| Adaline had not been expecting to meet anyone from Hogwarts, much less the father of her child whom she only spoke to at Hogwarts and had not made any attempt to contact further, letting Kai make the first move.
However when she turned her eyes towards the door of the cafe and saw Kai enter, she stiffened slightly in her seat before relaxing a little bit. She bit her lip and wearily watched Kai approach her.
When she heard his slightly weary question, she stared at him amused, feeling herself calm down from her weariness. She could see him trying hard to not look at her stomach and frankly she couldn't blame him.
"Hey." She gave a soft smile and placed her chin in her hand and watched him. "Things are going alright." Hearing the question if her parents knew, she shook her head. "I haven't told them yet." She told him and she really wasn't sure if she should. Who knew what they would do. Her mother would probably be very happy about it but her father was someone whom Adaline was pretty much unsure about. |

| He had to admit, her smile was contagious, but it wasn't enough to send the nervous jitters away. "That's great to hear," he replied. Giving her another small smile and a nod of his head.
At her reply of not having told her parents yet, he mustered out an, "oh." He figured he'd leave the part out about his parents having found out then, not wanting to bring stress to the girl, knowing she was probably already stressed enough. He felt bad that he couldn't make things better for her, but he was trying. He was trying to be there for her, though they hadn't spoken since that day on the Pitch.
He had assumed that she didn't want to see him, but maybe she was waiting for him to approach her. "What brings you here?" He asked, adding onto his question, "I was out with Macee, my sister, shopping." To be more detailed, she was shopping, not him. Remembering Macee being with him made him even more nervous. She could walk in at any moment and start questioning the girl and telling him that he better be taking care of her and all these other things she and his parents told him would be right for him to do for the mother of his child.
The seventeen year old boy had enough stress from his family, he didn't need anymore added onto him. |

| Adaline had to say seeing Kai smile made butterflies flutter in her stomach but she would not say that to anyone, much less Kai at the moment. She was not sure what was going to happen between them but she wasn't ready to get attached to Kai emotionally until she knew what the other wanted from what was happening.
"Oh?" She arched a brow, her eyes focused on the other male. "What is that supposed to mean?" She questioned him, her head tilted to the side slightly. She had a feeling that whatever he would say would make her a bit upset or stressed.
"Just shopping for stuff." She shrugged her shoulders, waving her hand at all the bags that were around her, most filled with baby things and not actual clothes for herself. "I got bored sitting around at home just doing nothing."
"Your sister?" She questioned the male. She had no idea he had a sister. |

| "It's nothing, I really don't want to bother you with anything that may stress you," he admitted. It was killing him to keep secrets from her or at least feel like he was keeping secrets from her, but this, was for the better.
At her reply, he looked to the bags that she motioned towards and he could see the amounts of baby supplies she'd already bought. Unsure what to say, he just nodded in understanding. "So you've already gotten a headstart?" He would have to make sure to get a job soon if he wanted to help with this child, before she bought everything she needed. "Maybe we should hang out more then," he added in reference to her sitting at home being bored comment.
"Yes, my sister," he nodded, "she's fourteen, blonde hair, dark eyes and tanned like me. She goes to Beauxbaxton's though, not Hogwarts. I'm not sure why she goes there, but she does." It would always be a question that would never have an answer, which he was okay with, but he'd still like an answer sometimes.
He realised then, just how little he and Adaline actually knew about each other. He'd make it his life goal to find out everything there is to know about her. |

| Adaline made a non-committal sound and gave him an unimpressed look. "Just me thinking about what that oh meant is making me stress." She said but she did not push him to reveal whatever it was that worried him or something. She'd rather he revealed on his own terms and not by being pressured.
"It's just clothes that I got." She said with a soft snort as she sipped on her tea and stared at Kai over the rim of it. "Maybe we should." She agreed softly with a nod of her head. In truth she really wouldn't mind hanging out with Kai more. It was nice having someone to talk to.
"I have two younger siblings." She murmured softly, a soft smile on her lips. "A brother and a sister, they're twins." She chuckled softly as she thought on her siblings. "They get in so much trouble it's amazing how my parents manage to survive when I'm at Hogwarts and they're stuck with those two rascals." She laughed. |

| Rolling his eyes, he leaned across the little table, taking her hands in his. His face was so close to hers, "don't," he whispered as his lips brushed gently against hers. The first brush was gentle, however, as he let his lips linger on hers for a moment, he pushed against her lips a bit harder, his eyes closing before pulling away.
The kiss had been nice, in fact, it made him feel like his body was tingly. It was a feeling that no other girl had made him feel before. When he thought about it, it had really been their first kiss. As the only time they slept together, any kissing that went on was desperate, lust-filled and full of greed.
"That's a lot of clothes," he chuckled, the corners of his eyes creasing while he did so. He smiled at her, glad that she agreed to hang out with him more. It'd be a good thing. It'd give them a chance to get to know each other better as well as it'd give him a chance to get used to being around a pregnant woman and what to expect.
He chuckled at the description of her siblings. "Aren't all younger sibings like that?" It was true for the most part. He remembered his sister being a rascal up until a certain age, however, within the past few years she'd really matured. He had always been close to her, but he couldn't help but be grateful for her to have matured some. |

| Adaline searched the tanned male's eyes before giving him a small smile and silently accepting to not stress anymore. The brush of their lips made Adaline stare at Kai just for a second before her eyes fluttered close at the feel of those lips of his on hers. She almost pouted when he pulled away and relucently, she opened her eyes, her tongue darting out to quickly wet her lips and try to not blush too much.
She had remembered the kisses they shared when they had slept but those were not the sweet soft kisses that Kai just gave her. Those ones were desperate, greedy and lusty filled ones. Sure those were nice too but she did love the sweet, soft ones much more.
"There can never be too many clothes." Now she did definitely pout at the male in front of her. She couldn't help it that she just loved every little article of clothing that she saw the moment she saw them.
"...I suppose that's true." She hummed softly, her lips pulled into a light grin. She loved her siblings to bits and while she knew they were rascals now, by the time it came for them to Hogwarts they would be much more calmer. After all, it was Hogwarts. |

| When Adaline kissed him back, it felt like he'd just brought the Quidditch Cup home to the great house of Gryffindor. He could feel her giving into him and melting like putty against him, but this was not the time nor place for any of that. He wouldn't deny the fact that he wouldn't have minded planting another kiss on her lips, but he hated the audience people seemed to have when they kissed in public. People needed to mind their own damn minds.
"I suppose," he said, unaware of how many outfits an infant can go through in one day, "but won't it outgrow them in like a week?" Kai felt clueless, even worse than clueless if there was such a thing.
"Did you need to go anywhere else today?" he asked before adding on, "Or maybe you wanting an escort home to help carry all those bags?" His eyes twinkled as he looked to her. He really wanted to be away from the crowds where he could sit and kiss her against a wall or something.
Maybe an alley, or a garden. Maybe even her parents would let him help her get her bags to her room then he could kiss her there. |
