| James was on his night off, the night where he didn't need to be in the school, or sober, in the week. Someone else had the responsibility of looking after the children in the school, and thus, James was going to enjoy himself. Which meant he had gone off towards the Three Broomsticks for a drink. The feast had filled him up enough to not get drunk too quickly, and James didn't plan on going home until the early hours of the morning.
Slipping through the door, James was happy to see there was a good atmosphere in the pub. It seemed there was live music on this evening, but it was some band he wasn't too familiar with. Moving to the bar, the Potions professor ordered himself a Firewhiskey, leaning on the wooden bar top and looking over towards the band with little and less interest.
That was, of course, James' usual mannerism to everything. Well, everything except women.
Pulling his eyes away from the band with little resilience, James took to looking around for exactly what managed to keep his attention - for short periods, anyway. For the most part, the Three Broomsticks didn't have much on offer, but the night was young, and he was a patient man.

| Daphne was bored of the school scene. When she signed up for the job, she didn't realize she would be locked up in the castle for what seemed like forever. Maybe her next lesson she would take the kids outside and do something productive. Maybe like a muggle military training thing. That would be entertaining. So, Daphne decided she needed a nice night of stress relieving, and decided to go get a drink at The Three Broomsticks! Tonight, she wore her blond hair in a pony tail, and decided to get a little jazzed up, but not too overly dressy since it is the three broom sticks.
Tonight she decided to wear a *probably little too short* black dress with sleeves that went past her elbows. She wasn't trying to pull off the hooker look, but if it looked like it, she didn't really care. There weren't any students around, so she didn't need to act respectful. She walked into the bar/restraint thingy and took a seat at the bar. She said, "I'd like a fire whiskey please" to the bar tender who gave her a shot. He stared at her for a little bit to long for her liking, and rolled her eyes in disgust.
Seriously... She was beautiful, yes, but Daphne wasn't one who liked to be treated like an animal to the male species. She liked to be treated with respect. Even though she dressed like a hooker, she still had some pride and dignity in her. She said, "I'm a little bit out of your league sweetie." She found that being upfront about it tended to work out quiet well, even if that did mean she was in he "bitch" department. But, she wasn't going to let some perverted bar tender ruin her night! It was still young! |

| As the night mulled on, James looked back to his drink, considering it for a moment, and then downing the amber liquid like a pro. Of course, no matter how often you might drink, even FireWhiskey had a burn. Wincing a little from the burn, James ordered another drink from the bar man.
The door to the pub opened and closed often, and James didn't turn to see each new customer of the pub. Instead, he waited for the new arrivals to come to the bar, taking interest in none.
Except...
The last person to enter the bar had James' interest the moment he saw what she was wearing. A smirk appeared on the professor's lips as he checked her out from across the bar. He wasn't the only one, either, it seemed as she looked to be chastising the barman for doing exactly as he'd just done. Fiery, James decided in that moment, picking up his newly arrived drink and moving around the bar.
Putting his drink down on the bar beside the woman, James offered her a small smile. "Looks like some people don't know how to treat a lady." He told her, confident as always when talking to women. "A pity really, his lack of tact has meant he missed out on a beauty. I'm James, by the way, James Balan. And you... are the most beautiful woman in the room." James continued, not in the slightest bit worried about being so damn obvious in his flirting. |

| Daphne rolled her eyes. After that, a man, *a gorgeous one might she add* came and sat next to her. Now she wouldn't mind if THIS one made degrading comments about how beautiful she was. This type was exactly why she dressed up the way she did. She smiled at his obvious flirting, and attempted effort. She said, "Well, your not so bad looking yourself, James. I'm Daphne Moon. It's a pleasure."
Daphne smiled again, trying to look cute. He really was gorgeous, and Daphne wouldn't mind talking to him more. She hadn't made any commitments to herself about the guy department, so she was ready to get into the dating game. She didn't know why she didn't do it when she was in school, but now she was ready to get into action.
Daphne smiled and said, "Now what brings you to the three broomsticks James? I mean, obviously to stare at me.... But, any other reason?" She turned on her flirting face. It was different from her original one, and she took her finger to her short pony tail and twirled it around. This was going to be fun! |

| The compliment back put a small smirk on James' lips, knowing he was on the front foot already with the witch not being unhappy with the way he looked. A fool would think badly of his looks, in James' mind, but he wouldn't think of calling anyone such a thing.
The question of why he was here made James smile a little. "The same reason everyone else is, I would imagine. To drink, forget life for a little while, have fun... and, hopefully find a beautiful woman to take home tonight." The man explained. He never, ever, pretended to be a true gentleman, detailing exactly what he wanted. It saved a lot of time, truth be told, if he was upfront about his intentions. Those who weren't interested would look disgusted and excuse themselves, the fun ones would stay.
Which category Daphne fell in to was yet to be seen.
"What about you? You yourself look a little too... dressed up to be in such a boring countryside pub." He asked, allowing a moment to take the witch in once more now he was up close. Her figure was stunning, of that he would never disagree on. |

| Daphne smiled at the man. He was intriguing. Did she see a future with him? No probably not. But she couldn't hardly tell with just a few sentences. But she wasn't looking for that anyways. Daphne was just looking for fun. That much she knew. If something more happened out of it, then that she didn't know if she could handle it. She wasn't very good with commitment, or relationships to begin with.
She giggled. She said, "Yes. I suppose everyone is here to have a good time. Some might have more fun than others..." She glanced at the perverted bar tender who had hit on her when she arrived. She retorted back to him, "Don't think I won't report you to your boss that you've been hitting on the customers." She really was a bitch. But she loved it.
He then commented on her attire. She had him in the bag. She said, "It's nice to dress up every once in a while. Catch a young man's eye, entice him with my beauty, the usual." She looked him up and down. She didn't want to hide her obvious attraction from him anymore. Shit was about to get Sirius. |

| The comment on fun made James' smirk grow just a little in that moment. At least, he thought to himself in that moment, they were on the same page. It was frustrating trying his well thought up lines on women who simply weren't interested in the same thing as he was.
As she chastised the barman, James let out a soft laugh, short but humoured at the man's fate. "Such a man was hitting on you?" James asked, making sure the barman could hear the distaste in his voice. "Such a mediocre boy could never get far." He paused turning to the man behind the bar. "This lady needs a man, not a small thing like you." James told him, enjoying the power of knowing the man could not retort as he already feared for his job from the threat of the witch beside him.
"Enticed... that you have definitely done." James replied moving a little closer, testing the waters as he placed his left hand on her waist. Sure, she could slap his hand away, or perhaps slap him properly, but he wouldn't care. That would only work wonders on another young witch in the bar, he was sure he could play the sob story, if needed. "So, how does a man play his cards now he's fallen pray to your beauty?" He teased, raising an eyebrow.
Oh, he'd have been kissing her by now had this been a club, but there was something about the scenery that seemed to call for a little bit more of coy playing before he jumped in head first. |

| As he got closer, Daphne's heart beat faster. She was in this for the fun she knew that much, and the fun was just about to begin. Daphne didn't flinch, she didn't push him away, and she didn't look down. She made it seem like she was oblivious to his touch, but she knew that it was there. It felt weird having a guy touch her like that. She hadn't had somebody touch her that wasn't of the male species in a long time.
She smiled and asked, "What are you going to do next?" She knew what was going to happen. She wanted what was going to happen. It had felt like ages since it had, but it had really only been a couple of months. Daphne smiled a little wider.
She was good at getting what she wanted. She loved getting what she wanted. And in the end, she knew she would get it. She always did in the end. Whether she liked it or not. But most of the time she did like it. And that was what was so great about tonight. Daphne continued to smile. It wasn't creepy smile, it was more an innocent smile. She put a hand on his arm. She was excited to see what happened next. What it would lead too. Was it a one night stand? Or was it a night that would eventually lead to other hook ups? Alas, she would have to wait and see! |

| "What am I going to do next?" James asked, a small laugh leaving his lips at the thought. "That depends on how far I'm allowed to go." He continued, subtly stating that there were a number of things running through his mind that he would like to do with the witch. Pretend that she was important enough to play on his mind, even if that weren't overly true.
"Well..." James continued, leaning in a little closer. "I thought I might start here..." He summarised, pressing his lips to the witch's. Gentle to begin with, and then a little firmer, allowing her the time to adjust to the situation, 'just in case'.
Pulling away slightly, James picked up his glass, sipping from it once more. "And now, the next move is yours." The man teased. He liked someone who could play the game, truth be told, he didn't wish to do all the work - if he did, well, he could simply have gone home for that. |

| Daphne's heart beat faster, if that was possible as he pressed his lips to hers. She moved her body with his encouraging him on. When he broke apart, she actually pouted. Daphne Moon didn't pout. It took a lot to make her pout. Daphne wasn't some school girl that could be easily persuaded. She knew what she was doing and wanted it completely. The next move depended on her. She had many moves, and the hard part would be choosing which one to pull on him.
She could play hard to get, and tease him, which could be fun for her and torturous for him. She could just go for it, and make it easy for him. Or she could walk away now, and not embrace her sluttiness moment. But Daphne decided to embrace her slutty alter ego for one night, and play hard to get.
She said, "Well. If the next move is all mine, why don't you sit there like a good boy while I go pick a song." She touched his leg a little bit and went to the juke box and flipped threw the music picking a fast pace song that she could dance too. She went in front of him and started dancing not next to him, but on him. This was going to be fun. And she knew it. She replied, "Your allowed to go as far as you wanna." She raised her hands above her head and shook her hips to the beat. |
