| "So do I," he smiled feeling a bit glad that his girlfriend had agreed with him on giving their kitten such a strong name with an amazing meaning. "Bali," he repeated the name looking down to the little gray kitten. "It suits him so well," he looked back to his girlfriend as the kitten made a slight squeaking sound.
"I'm not exactly sure, but I would hope that he'll stop eating when he gets full and not when he gets sick," the boys face twisted into one of slight worry and he looked up to Victoria. Silently, he tried communicating his fear and lack of knowledge to her. He had read books about everything except kittens and now he regretted not having read kitten books. "That sounds like a great idea," he smiled. Noticing the bottle was empty, he took it away from the cat and got up to move towards his girlfriend and give her a helping hand.
He took the box of now magically warm blankets from her as she got an idea and walked across the room to a clock. "I think so," he replied, his brow raising as he thought about where she was going.
When she put the clock under the blankets and hid it, the soft ticking barely audible, he set the kitten in the box and set the box beside Victoria's bed. The kitten, from what he could tell, was now asleep and Zander honestly wanted to do the same thing. Wrapping an arm around his girlfriend's waist, he pulled her towards him and pressed his forehead to hers, his eyes locked on hers. "I think it's perfect," he whispered, thankful to have such a smart girlfriend.
The mood of the moment taking him away, he closed his eyes and soon enough, he felt his lips press against hers, softly, passionately and he wished this moment to never go away. |

| Victoria couldn't help but smile at the scene before her. Her boyfriend and the kitten looking to each other with such love between them, already building as the small animal fed from the bottle gently. The softness of the man before her was beautiful in it's own way, perhaps not the same kind of beauty other girls might look for in men, but to Victoria, this was exactly what a man should be.
Watching Zander lay the kitten down, Victoria stroked his small head until he fell asleep, reveling in the softness of the animal's fur despite the horrible torments it had seen. It took only a few minutes for the small creature to fall asleep, and Victoria moved away carefully, allowing Zander's protective arms to wrap around her waist.
The weight of his arm around her was a comfort Victoria was slowly growing used to, a comfort she missed when he was away from her, even if she was independent. Her safety was a given when he held her, and Victoria couldn't help but smile as his lips brushed her forehead. "Thank you." The witch replied to his compliment on how she'd done. It was thrown together, but it would be enough for that evening, at least.
Victoria was almost going to ask if he'd like a drink, or something, before he went back to his flat - given the hour Victoria was sure Zander would want sleep - when something new happened. Something tender and yet something that put Victoria (momentarily) in shock. The touch of Zander's lips on her own was enough to make her gasp ever-so-softly against his lips.
It wasn't that Victoria didn't want to kiss Zander as to why she hadn't before this moment, it was because she didn't like to rush things. In that moment memories flashed crazily before her eyes of the people she had liked a little more than others, of people who made her smile, of her first kiss back at Salem Academy...
But they were pushed aside as she leant in to Zander, allowing him to kiss her as she tentatively kissed him back, following his lead and feeling a little more than light-headed. It was after a few long moments that Victoria pulled away, only slightly, her eyelashes moving up slowly from her cheeks as she looked up at her boyfriend. Cheeks reddening slowly, perhaps flushed more than anything, Victoria let out a small giggle of happiness.
"What was that for?" Victoria asked softly, wondering what had gotten in to her boyfriend. ________________________________________________

| He had to admit, watching his girlfriend with the kitten was probably even more adorable than any of time he'd watched Victoria and that was hard to beat. Though, he was also a bit biased since she was HIS girlfriend. Some days, he even wondered what on earth possessed her to be with him because surely there was no reason he deserved her?
"No need to thank me," he said, his voice a hushed whisper as his arms held on to Victoria. Holding Victoria was something he was starting to get used to but not only that, it was something he was really starting to enjoy. The last night visits, the time they studied together or went out for desert, late night movies and cuddles and time spent cooking together, they were all memories but also life. Life that Zander could most likely never live without now.
As their lips collided, Zander could feel the ever so slight gasp that came from her and it caused his arms to tighten a bit, holding her more firmly to him. Zander's thoughts threatened to stray, but he kept them there with him and not where they didn't need to be because neither of the two were ready for anything else. He felt a bit nervous as they kissed, worried about what she'd think of his now. Was he a good kisser or did he just ruin their relationship?
Zander's first kiss hadn't been great, but Victoria, well she was different and he liked it. In fact, he enjoyed it a lot more than he probably should have and when she pulled away, he frowned a bit, not ready for their contact to be broken. So when she pulled away, he held her, his lips moving to kiss the top of her head before finally letting go of her. He finally looked into her eyes and noticed her cheeks were flushed which of course, caused his to do the same as he gave his head a nervous scratch.
"I-I don't know," he said, a small laugh coming out, "you're just really, really pretty." |

| The response as to why she'd been kissed made Victoria let out a soft chuckle at Zander's current body language. "You really don't need to look so nervous, Zander!" Victoria insisted, taking his hand and wrapping it back around her waist. "And I'm not going to break, either." She added, noting he'd pulled away just because she had pulled away from the kiss with him.
Resting her head on her boyfriend's shoulder, Victoria allowed herself a small smile, reaching her arms up to wrap around his neck, cuddling him the best she could despite their height difference.
"Did you want to stay here tonight? I can make you a bed on the sofa?" Victoria offered, lifting her head to look up at him with a smile. "It's late, you might as well just crash here until the morning." She added, hoping that the offer was good enough for her boyfriend.
But, perhaps as a little bit of a persuasion tool, Victoria stood up on her tip toes and pressed her lips back to his once more, smiling in to the soft kiss. She held it for a little longer, enjoying the taste of his lips for the moment, their closeness. Until, finally, the witch pulled away slightly. "I'm not going to break if you kiss me, see." She joked softly, giggling in to his neck. ________________________________________________

| He smiled at her response but only looked more nervous because she said something. His cheeks burned form the heat of the severe blush that he knew was on his face and he couldn't help it. In fact, he began to grow used to it because he blushed around Victoria often, though never this much. His neck grew red when she moved his hands back around her waist, but soon, he had pulled her back to him.
He smiled when she laid her head on his shoulder and when he felt her arms reaching around his neck, he felt chills flow down his spine. Her touch was one that was near irresistible. It felt so good.
At her suggestion, he froze. Of course he wanted to but with all the things he'd been feeling around her, it wouldn't be a good idea because he didn't want to break any boundaries. "Dear, I don't- I don't think," he couldn't get the words out because her smile caused him to lose his train of thought. Damn, he thought, why'd she have to be so pretty? He cursed internally as he tried to explain that he shouldn't stay, that it would be a bad idea but he had no clue how to tell her. He couldn't even get the words out.
However, as she kissed him once again, his arms tightened and he could feel himself losing control. "Okay," he agreed lifting her off the floor. She was so light and it would be so easy to lay her on the bed but instead, he turned and held her against a wall, gently supporting her as he kissed her. He felt like she had been teasing him, though he knew she wasn't because he wasn't like that. However, at her reconfirmation of her not breaking if he kissed her was one enough to make him to just that. As he pressed her back to the wall, his arms around her waist, he kissed her deeper than before, unafraid of anything. |

| Whatever Zander did or didn't think, Victoria never found out because her boyfriend didn't finish his sentence. Why he hadn't finished the sentence, Victoria didn't know, but she didn't press him. After all, if he wanted to tell her something, he would, of that much she was quite sure.
When he agreed, Victoria was about to go and get him a spare blanket and a pillow when he lifted her off the floor. Letting out a soft giggle at the action, wrapping her legs around his waist to support her weight a little - not that she needed to, Zander was strong enough to support her easily.
The kissing heated up a little, and Victoria followed his lead, growing a little breathless at his actions. This, this was a first for Victoria, and she liked it.
How long they kissed for, Victoria didn't know, but starting to feel a little dizzy from the euphoria of the moment, and her uneven breathing, Victoria brought her hand from Zander's shoulder, and gently put a finger to his lips when a gap arose. "Zander..." The witch chastised softly, even though she didn't really mean it. "I'm not going to disappear any time soon, you know?"
The teasing seemed to come naturally to Victoria, and for anyone else it might have been a shock, but to her, it felt right.
"I'm tired though." The witch added, pressing a small kiss to the corner of his mouth. "And I have a test in the morning." Victoria added, kissing the other side. "So I think we should get some sleep, don't you?"
Letting her legs down from her boyfriend's waist, Victoria moved past him, getting him a pillow and a blanket for him to sleep under before climbing in to bed. There was no denying that Victoria had the control on these things in the relationship, but she'd stopped because she'd been enjoying it too much.
And the next stage scared her, more than a little bit. ________________________________________________

| Zander couldn't help getting excited. He didn't mean to, it just happened and it grew worse as the kissing began to heat up. He was a guy and things like this happened, especially since kissing was as far as he'd ever gone but he still couldn't help but feel embarrassed. It wasn't wrong to be embarrassed was it? Or perhaps it was wrong for him to have been excited? Zander's breath grew raspy and came in short gasps as his hands moved up to entangle themselves in Victoria's hair. Maybe he shouldn't have started this and he'd be good.
Just as soon as it had started, it was over. Victoria's finger rested on his lips but he could still taste her lips on his. He didn't know how long they'd been caught up in the moment, but he wished it would have never ended. "I know," he whispered, chuckling a bit as he worked discreetly to catch his breath and calm down.
Then the teasing continued and he wondered if she knew what she did to him.
He nodded as she kissed the corner of his mouth, he was quite tired too, well before the heated moment had taken place. However now, her was more awake than ever. When she kissed the other corner of his mouth, he playfully growled a bit all the while feeling bad for waking her. His lips once again met hers, unable to resist her teasing but at last, he agreed that they needed sleep.
He was sad to feel her weight leave him, but he knew they had the future to be together and do whatever it was they wanted to. Tonight was not the time for that, no matter how bad Zander felt it was. He accepted the pillow and blanket from her and kissed the top of her head goodnight before curling up on her couch. |
