| Diagon Alley, even at this time of year, was a bustling place filled with laughter and giggles of young children as they visited the magical Alley with their parents. It was a place where you could come to meet your friends or where you could meet new ones. It was also a place for most people to just enjoy the day and let their thoughts wander.
Sean Lucas was one of those people; he had the day off at the University that day and decided to visit the Alley so that he wasn't stuck in his dorm doing nothing but studying all the time.
Walking through the street, the last Vasquez smiled softly when he saw young children whining and screaming at their parents to get them one thing or another. It reminded him of the time when him and his, then alive, siblings were being led around the alley with their parents. Always asking for one thing or another.
Now he couldn't even remember the soft giggles of his younger sister or the grouching of his brother. It was times like this that he hated being alone; without a significant other to take his mind of things or without anyone really. |

| Victoria had a very rare afternoon off - however, her boyfriend did not. The break from studying could not have been so poorly placed with Zander's schedule, truth be told, but Victoria would not let this dampen her spirits. Of course she would have loved to have spent the afternoon with Zander, but this also meant she could get many more things done without him around.
Like collecting her new books from the book shop, replenishing her ink supply and parchment stash for her lectures. Buying herself some new clothes - because what girl could go shopping without a little self-pampering? There was also a new perfume from the range that she liked, so she was going to get a bottle of that, too.
It was going to be a fulfilled afternoon, of that much Victoria was sure. Moving down the street, Victoria smiled to those she met, before her attention was grabbed by the window that held all the Quidditch supplies behind it. Normally, this shop would not have caught her eye, but as she walked past, Victoria noted a minature broom, with an enchanted doll sat upon it. Toddler brooms.
Now, there was absolutely no way Victoria could not take a moment to look, and perhaps even inquire as to the price. For Ivan, her nephew. Marveling at the safety of the device, Victoria forgot where she was for a moment, wondering how much Ivan might enjoy this gift.
Yes, he was too young now... but in a few months... ________________________________________________

| The thoughts of his family made Sean even more depressed then the thought of not having a significant other so he sighed softly and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans before he moved along the alley to stop by the Quidditch shop. It had been a while since he thought about Quidditch but when he saw the miniature broom on display, his eyes softened and his lips pulled into a soft smile.
He was quite sure that if his youngest sister was alive she would've loved to have a broom like that. Especially since Quidditch was practically in her gene's seeing as every member of his family used to play Quidditch at some point in his life.
"It's cute." He muttered softly, not noticing the girl next to him. Reading the specs, his brows disappeared behind his hairline. Huh, who knew the miniature brooms were so advanced now with all the safety precautions now on it. He remembered having one like that but a much worse version then the one in the window. |

| Victoria was too busy reading the signs next to her to notice someone come to stand beside her. The pros and cons of buying the broom were too much for the witch at that moment - she would need to discuss it with Zander to find out what he thought. Though... the price might sway Zander's opinion... maybe she could miss that bit out?
"It's cute."
"It is, isn't it?" Victoria responded to the person who'd spoken before looking up to see who had spoken. It had been a soft comment, one that didn't... sound like it could belong to someone so astonishingly tall. Victoria's eyes held a hint of surprise as she looked up at the man, but she wasn't judging him. "I was thinking of buying one for my nephew." She added, turning back to the window.
"Though, I'm highly indecisive, so I think I'll wait a bit before finishing my decision." She continued, smiling to the man. "I'm Victoria." The witch added, holding out her hand to the stranger. Victoria was always looking to make new friends, even in such a strange manner as this. Why not, was her excuse! ________________________________________________

| The dangerous thing about street photography was that sometimes Summer wasn't sure if her subjects were okay with being photographed. For this reason, she did her best to capture the faces on the streets when they were at their most beautiful (or at least profound).
She snapped a photo of two women laughing over ice cream at Fortescue's. She snapped a photo of a child struggling to get away from his mother as he watched a street artist wave his hand and produce a moving chalk painting on the ground. Finally, she took a photo of a woman holding out her hand to a tall man standing in front of a Quidditch shop. Click.
Realising she had probably interrupted a moment, she took a step back, despite the fair amount of distance between her and the pair. People kept on walking past her, some muttering a curt 'excuse me' as she was standing in the middle of the road. She liked scenes like this best, scenes which hinted at the possibility of friendship. Of human connection. When the screen showed a great photograph, Summer's eyes twinkled with happiness as she smiled.

| OOC: It's not technically my turn to post, but Victoria is getting huffy at the lack of posts I have given her.
It was out of the corner of her eye that Victoria had noticed the other person who was not moving with the crowd. Whilst she was out of the way with the man before her that she'd just introduced herself to, the other person who wasn't moving with the crowd had done it in an inconvenient place, which had Victoria somewhat intrigued.
And then, she noticed the camera.
Victoria's face lit up as she saw that, Victoria loved pictures. They were great, though she was no artist. Well, except for that one time she'd been taking pictures with Jake, that had been fun, but they were definitely not the best in the world.
"Hey!" Victoria called out to the witch with the camera, beckoning her over with a wave of her hand. Hopefully the girl would come over, then Victoria could find out what she was doing. And maybe, just maybe, Victoria could make two friends in one day. ________________________________________________

| Sean quirked a brow at the short woman beside him, his lips pulled into a smile as he turned his eyes back to the miniature broom on display. Seeing the broom had made Sean ache in grief as he didn't have anyone to buy the broom for. His sisters were dead, his parents as well. He was the only one of the Vasquez's left alive. What an irony it was.
"If I had someone to buy it for I certainly would." Sean said with a soft chuckle as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans, shaking his head in bemusement. Maybe he should just step away from there and go somewhere else. Otherwise he'd just start crying again.
The man eyed the woman with surprise before smiling softly and taking her hand, bringing it up to press a kiss to her knuckles. "It's very nice to meet you. The name's Sean." He replied with an open and honest smile.
His eyes took on a slightly shocked look as he turned to where Victoria was looking. A woman was standing there with a camera in her hand. Eyeing the woman in amusement Sean also waved his hand for the lady to come over. |

| Summer hadn't meant to linger—she only wanted to take a photograph and then leave and look for new scenes to capture, but when the girl called out and the guy waved at her, Summer figured she might as well introduce herself. She approached them with a smile, happy to know that they weren't upset with her for taking a photo of them.
'Hi,' she said as she reached where they were standing by the Quidditch shop window. 'I'm Summer. I hope it's alright I took a photo of you two, both of you just look so photogenic.' She moved to show them the photo she had taken, and hoped that it was pretty enough for them. She had carefully tried to capture the scene so that the colours looked vibrant in the background, with the shapes subtly pointing to the central focus of the picture—that of two strangers getting acquainted.
The bit about them being photogenic was indeed truer up close—the girl, who had sweet feminine features, would look great in photos with soft pastel backgrounds, and the guy looked as if he would do great posing for an athletic-themed shoot. She wasn't a fan of Quidditch herself, but Quidditch players and items made good photography subjects. 'If you guys are uncomfortable with this, I can delete it,' she added, even though she wished with all her heart that they would let her keep the photo. |

| "Maybe when he is a little bit older." Victoria responded to the point of buying one because she had cause to. Ivan couldn't even sit up yet, let alone ride a broom, and she knew that Jake would want Ivan on it the moment he saw it. No, she would save her nephew the pain of flying too young.
When the man took her hand, and brought it to his lips, as they did in films and books, Victoria couldn't help but flush at the actions. Yes, she was in a relationship, and no, she was not interested in the man before her, but she couldn't help but feel something when a man treated someone with such respect. "It's lovely to meet you, Sean." Victoria responded truthfully to his introduction. Taking her hand back, Victoria turned to see the photographer coming over, and smiled warmly at her.
"Hi, I'm Victoria, and this is Sean." Victoria introduced herself to Summer, doing it for Sean too even though they'd only just met too. Victoria was too happy with the idea of new friends that she couldn't see anything wrong with this at all. Finding out about the picture made Victoria curious to see, and she was not disappointed either.
"Wow, that's beautiful!" Victoria insisted, it had captured the moment so perfectly, it would be impossible to think that it was anything short of beautiful. "And, by all means, keep the photo, I have no issue with it!" Victoria continued, looking to Sean to see if he would have an issue. Victoria sincerely hoped not, because Summer's photography (from this one picture) looked exquisite!
"Is this for the Daily Prophet, or something?" Victoria asked, wondering what the story would be if this was the case, but for the life of her, Victoria couldn't be sure. ________________________________________________
