You Drive Me Mad [James & Circe] Empty
PostSubject: You Drive Me Mad [James & Circe]   You Drive Me Mad [James & Circe] EmptyThu Mar 17, 2016 2:08 pm

Things were going smoothly since the day James finally gathered up the courage to finally ask her to be his girlfriend. Truth be told, Circe believed he was joking and that once a couple of hours would have passed, James would be back to his old self, and treat her like any other woman in his life.

But to her surprise, he didn't. James had been serious about his question, and he was responsible for his actions so far. He had become the man everyone wanted him to be. A mature man, who was slowly pushing away his old -bad- habits, and was now, probably for the first time in his life, in a serious relationship.
It was amazing how much a person could change if only he has someone to support and help them trough it all.

Tonight, they had agreed on doing something more.. more like what couples do. Nothing to special. Not romantic dinner or flower, neither a lovely walk on the beach. No. A simple movie at home -not even at the cinema- was going to be enough for both of them. Though Circe had a feeling that even this was going to be frustrating when it came down to these two.

Circe had agreed on making the popcorn, and James would find a few movies in order for them to choose which one they would see that evening. And that was exactly what happened. Once Circe had made to gigantic bowls of popcorn, one for each person, she made her way to the living room, where James was waiting for her.

"So, what have you picked out?"
The witch asked as she placed one bowl on the table before him, and flopped down on the sofa, crossing her legs.

The new dynamic between him and Circe - well, it wasn't new, it was labelled - was going okay, so far. They'd waved his mum off earlier that day, and James had been somewhat relieved, but more glad of her short visit. Well, for the most part. Lying next to a woman such as Circe for two nights with no action was not something James had enjoyed, but endured due to his mother's presence.

So the moment his mum had left, James had done something for the second time in his life. He'd taken Circe the way she'd shown him the night he'd made some kind of commitment again, though they'd settled for the kitchen floor rather than the bed this time, until they were both highly satisfied, and led on the floor out of breath, but happy.

After that they'd agreed to relax with a movie. James didn't see too much of a problem with this, and had set to finding a host of films they could watch. The Exorcist and Saw - horror films (James' favourite genre). Spectre and Deadpool - action films (another of James' favourites). Finally - more as a stab in the dark, Titanic had come off the shelf - James was mighty sure it would not be the kind of movie Circe would ever want to watch. The token 'girly' film.

"So, what have you picked out?"

James moved to the sofa with the five DVDs and handed them to his girlfriend. He kept using the word in his head to get used to it. But even now it still didn't feel completely right. Not wrong, but not completely right. "I'd prefer the Exorcist or Deadpool, but it's up to you." James said, putting his say in to the choices but leaving it to Circe.

This couldn't go wrong, could it?

James handed her the DvDs and Circe put her bowl full of popcorn aside, wanting to take a closer look at each movie. Well, he sure liked manly things, and Circe never doubted that, but she did hope that when it came down to movies he would he more.. more close to her taste at least
But no he just had to pick out horror and adventure.

First there was Saw and the Exorcist, and Circe's eyes widened, quickly putting them aside. There was no way she was going to allow herself to watch these things and start screaming the whole time. No. Circe was not going to be screaming unless it was because of James worshiping her body. So there was not going to be any horror today.

Then there was Deadpool and Spectre, action movies she had been told and Circe decided that an action movie wouldn't be too bad. Maybe they could watch Deadpool, even though she would end up being extremely bored before the movie even started. Deciding she wasn't going to make a decision yet, Circe took a look at the final movie he had given her.

Titanic.

Yes! Finally a movie Circe was in the mood for watching! It was the perfect romance/drama movie and it was a great movie go chill for the evening.

Putting the other adventure movies aside, Circe handed the Titanic to James with a bright smile and blew him a kiss, before grabbing her bowl of popcorn once more and munching on some.

"Titanic, love. I think it's the best choice." She then stretched her body and finally relaxed back into the warmth of the sofa.

"Titanic, love. I think it's the best choice."

James was shocked, there was no other word for it, as he was handed the DVD and blown him a kiss. Was she... fucking with him? Surely Circe wasn't in to such things... was she? But, James swallowed all these things he wanted to say, and moved to the DVD player, putting in the disc and picking up the remote before moving back to the sofa with her.

"Titanic it is, then." James responded, just about keeping the disappointment from his voice. Why had he put that in the choices for the evening? Really. It was simply supposed to be one of those movies that was a non-serious suggestion. Resigning himself to his fate, James picked up his bowl of popcorn and sat on the other side of the two-seat sofa. Pushing the button on the menu for the film to start, James pulled the blanket off the back of the sofa, and settled down for film.

This was a couple thing, a date, but James wasn't going to initiate the cuddling on the sofa. No, that was not his thing to do - he told himself.

"Titanic it is, then."

The passive reaction of James at her pick of a movie made Circe raise an eyebrow at him, kinda confused. Wan't he supposed to put up a fight or something, saying that Titanic is way too romantic for him and that they should instead watch something more adventurous. But James just agreed on watching the movie she had chosen, picking up his bowl of popcorn and sitting on his own side of the sofa.
James was not going to cuddle with her throughout the movie, of that much she was sure.

But as James got comfortable with his blanket and all, Circe moved closer to him and leaned up, placing a soft kiss on his lips. He was changing for her, and it was obvious. Way too obvious for her not to see. James was becoming a better person for her. And she just couldn't recognise that.
"You know, next time maybe we should watch Deadpool. They say it's quite nice, I must admit I am intrigued.."

And with that, she moved back to her own side of the sofa, not invading his personal space any longer. They were taking things slow. Fought quite a lot, but still managed to get back together. They were becoming a real couple, very slowly, but the signs were there. James had committed to her, and she had done the same.

The movie started and Circe sighed, a smile on her face as she already knew the romance that was to follow. Movies like these were indeed really cliche, and Circe was not such a romantic woman, but even she had to surrender when it came down to such true love.

The scene when they found the painting into the safe came up, and Circe pointed at the TV. "See that necklace she has on the painting? Wait till you see the real thing. Merlin it's the most beautiful thing.. A blue diamond.."
She then once again fell silent, watching the movie with interest.

"You know, next time maybe we should watch Deadpool. They say it's quite nice, I must admit I am intrigued.."

James couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the term 'nice' being used in the same sentence as Deadpool. Deadpool was not a 'nice' film. It was an awesome film. Swearing, hot women, lots of violence, angst. James loved it all, so to hear it called 'nice' was completely the wrong explanation. However, 'next time' pushed more to the front, he couldn't help but wonder how often Circe was going to want to do this.

Okay, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't going to kill him, but it was... new and he wasn't sure if he was going to succumb to doing this often.

Especially with the kisses that led no where - James was not a man who felt particularly comfortable with that idea. Childish as it was. Or as ridiculous as it was, James seemed to believe kisses were meant for more. Not just... kissing.

Pushing such thoughts out of his head, James rested his head on his hand as the movie started, glancing sideways as Circe let out a sigh. A smile was set on her lips, and James wasn't one hundred percent sure what the smile was about, but knew better than to ask. Likely the answer was not one he didn't know.

"See that necklace she has on the painting? Wait till you see the real thing. Merlin it's the most beautiful thing.. A blue diamond.."

"I've watched it before." James responded - not as gruffly as he might have done with anyone else, but also not in the nicest tone either. But, even if James didn't realise it in that moment, he had tucked away the information about Circe's excitement of the blue diamond that the woman in the film had been presented with.

Circe went quiet again, and James' eyes moved back to the TV, only really half watching as he lazily ate his popcorn.

PostSubject: Re: You Drive Me Mad [James & Circe]   You Drive Me Mad [James & Circe] EmptyThu Mar 24, 2016 8:12 pm

"I've watched it before."

He was annoyed and she couldn't understand why. She hadn't done anything to him and they were getting along quite well these past few days, but suddenly, he was was moody again and Circe wanted to slap him upside the head. He was acting as if he was a ten year old baby, and she couldn't believe it.

But maybe it was because of the movie. He had suggested they watch something more adventurous than this indeed, but he had included Titanic into the movies he handed over to her, which meant she did have the choice to pick Titanic over the other movies. He couldn't be so mad about it.

But it was a romantic movie and James was not romantic. At all. Even the cliche story was enough to make him puke all over the Living room. Imagine having to watch the whole thing again. Circe had to admit that she was quite surprised he had watched the movie before. Was it with some girl? Or had his family made him watch it?

The sting of jealousy took over the witch and she turned her attention from the movie to James with a questioning look as she slowly registered what he had said. They annoyed tone of his was long forgotten and now the question of when had he watched this movie, with who and why had taken place in her thoughts.

"You've watched this movie with another girl?"
Ignoring the probably annoyed look she was going to receive, not caring whether she was invading his personal space or not, Circe placed her bowl aside and moved closer to him, straddling his waist and getting his full attention.

"I thought you had no serious relationships.. And I doubt that you would watch a movie during those one-time-meetings with those girls. So, how come you've seen this before?" Circe had to admit she was oh so intrigued. James had revealed a vulnerable part and she was going to expose it.

"You've watched this movie with another girl?"

As Circe moved to his lap, James hit the pause button on the remote. As much as he might not want to watch the film, he was the kind of person who had to watch all of it, not miss a chunk and fill in the blanks from memory.

"No." James responded, leaning back in to the sofa as he gave his head a small shake to show that his answer was no. But as Circe continued, James couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Jealousy? Really.

"I haven't had any serious relationships." Except this one, a normal person would have added, before continuing. "And, believe me, I'm not the kind to waste time with a cute work up to sex." James continued, though most of the women he'd brought home had been so drunk that you didn't need to persuade them at all hard to fall in to bed with him. Though, James didn't say this, he was sure Circe was clever enough to work this out.

"My mum likes the film. A lot. So, I've seen it a number of times." James told her, he could have wound her up, said it was some other girls favourite, but James had been honest about it. "She always had a soft spot for... what's his name... Leonardo. And, well, it's not the most amazing film I've seen, but I won't say no to seeing Kate Winslet half naked." James summarised, waiting to see if his explanation was enough.

Sure, it might upset Circe a little to find out he liked Kate Winslet. But she was a celebrity, and it was hardly likely James was ever going to get that lucky.

"No."

Circe raised an eyebrow, even though she believed him fully. Circe had grown to know James enough to be sure that he would never spend his time watching movies like the Titanic, cuddling with some woman in his sofa. Oh no. Circe was the closest to a girlfriend he ever had and he still wouldn't dare to cuddle with her at any rate. Plus, he was already grumpy for having to watch Titanic with her.

"I haven't had any serious relationships. And, believe me, I'm not the kind to waste time with a cute work up to sex."

"I do know a think or two about that, no need to explain." James was not that type of a man and he would never be. She was not hoping he would turn into a Prince Charming when they agreed to try together. No, that would sicken her and make her want to get as far away from him as possible. Because Circe didn't want cute. She wanted passionate.

"My mum likes the film. A lot. So, I've seen it a number of times."

Well, that explains a lot, the witch thought and calmed herself down. She had gotten jealous over nothing and that was not something Circe would do. She shouldn't care. James was not her.. He was her boyfriend, yes, but in a whole different way.
She was not going to show him she was this jealous of someone else stealing him from her.

But you are, the voice in her head whispered, making her scowl more to herself.

"She always had a soft spot for... what's his name... Leonardo. And, well, it's not the most amazing film I've seen, but I won't say no to seeing Kate Winslet half naked."

Hell no. At that comment, Circe's eyebrows reached her hairline as she stared at him in disbelief. James had just admitted that he would't waste a chance to watch Kate Winslet, a celebrity, or whatever she was struggling to be, half naked. How could he want to watch her when Circe was sitting in his lap right in that moment.

You must be kidding.."
A little laugh escaped her lips and she shook her head, not allowing herself to believe something as ugly as that woman could strike his interest.
"I mean you can't really compare that to this."
Her laughter died as she made a move to show off herself. She was not going to allow herself to be considered less than that woman.

James simply rolled his eyes as Circe insisted she knew he wasn't the type. And yet, here he was, with her, watching a movie and trying to be some kind of decent boyfriend. Hell, he didn't want to be the perfect boyfriend, but he would make some effort to show he wanted more than just sex from the witch - so why couldn't she just... accept that?

But James kept quiet, deciding not to voice his opinion, because Circe was evidently not in the mood.

"I mean you can't really compare that to this."

"Circe." James replied, his tone conveying that he was not impressed with the accusation she had just thrown at him. After, he let out a sigh, shaking his head at her. "I can't believe you're saying this. Really? When. I. Watched. It. With. My. Mother. I. Watched. To. See. Kate." James spelt it out very clearly for her, exasperation filling his tone.

"If I wanted to see tits now, I would damn well undress you, not watch a stupid movie." He explained, shaking his head once more. "What is wrong with you this evening? Why are you acting so jealous? I'm here. With you. What more do you want?"
