Aiko ran a hand through her hair as she looked down at the letters she'd just finished writing. One for her parents, one for each of her siblings, and another to one of the editors using her picture for an article on mixed children. She gave a sigh, glad that it was Saturday and she had all this free time before she would head to the library to study. She winced as she stretched her fingers out, trying to move the kinks and bubbles out of each digit. She felt like she was lucking out on the fact that soon enough she'd just be reading books. She sighed heavily though at the reminder that soon enough she'd be neck deep in study books for Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Art. She winced at the reminder and instead focused on finding her 'temporary owl'. Mitsu was a regular old brown barn owl, Saffa's own that she needed back once the school year was over. Once summer hit, Saffa and her would be shopping for a new owl after they switched half of Aiko's money from modeling (the half would remain under her parents control, but this half was still a hefty sum of £4175.07) into galleons.
For now she'd make due. She sighed however as she spotted Mitsu wondering how the old thing could carry all these letters to the necessary destinations. Hunter lived in Glasgow, Samantha lived in Dundee, Lilliana lived in London, and Justin lived in Southampton. There was no guarantee she'd even get these there safely, Aiko thought bitterly, before settling with a sigh. She whistled for Mitsu to fly down near her twice before the old bird obeyed and collected the letters. She gave a sigh and settled against one of the walls before quickly becoming overwhelmed by the scent of owls. Before she was about to leave she noticed another person enter the Owlery.
"Hello," she greeted the girl softly, "I believe we have Transfiguration together, Aiko." She lifted her hand to shake, smiling warmly at the blonde.
