The muggle world was so mundane when compared to the wizarding world, which was why Lucy preferred to spend much of her spare time there as opposed to muggle London. Her life was the wizarding world, her friends, job prospects, everything. There was nothing for her in the muggle world, save for her parents. But she noticed a drift appearing between her and them, as there had been a drift between her and her sister those years where she was stuck in the muggle world and her sister was in the wizarding world. The two worlds were too different, Lucy felt. She had to choose the one that she belonged in.
She'd had a day to herself, shopping, reading, visiting her sister at work, and it had all been very relaxing. And to finish off, she decided to have a butter beer at the Three Broomsticks. As she walked in, she immediately recognised other students from Hogwarts, sitting, chatting and laughing, all enjoying the summer holidays.
Looking around the crowded bar, she found only one seat spare, next to a girl that she had seen before in her common room, though she had never spoken to her. Taking a chance, she sat down next to her and ordered her drink, before trying her hand at a conversation.
"Hi, I'm Lucy," she introduced herself confidently. Really, she as just looking for someone to talk to.
