Humphrey was doing some browsing of the painting section while his mother and sister got more ink and quills for at home, in addition to some more parchment and scrolls. Her mother had quickly adapted to the writing style wizards and witches used, but she could only get the supplies in magical shopping areas such as Diagon. It gave him time to look at other things that interested him though, such as the lovely set of brushes that he was currently looking at. At the moment he had a starter set of brushes, which was good for now. However, maybe for Christmas or next summer he'd be able to get some of these different types. From what he could tell, it should allow him to give more detail and produce different effects with the paint.
A loud apology from a girl next to him caused his focus to be disrupted, but he simply waved it off. "Nothing to apologize for, were you trying to look at the brushes as well?" Humphrey asked her. To his surprise the girl was blushing quite noticeably, and he looked away politely. "Nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm Humphrey, about to start my second year in Hufflepuff." he told her, his eyes browsing over the painting supplies again in hopes she would feel less awkward about what had happened. Though, he really had no clue when it came to how or why people were comfortable around others. Aside from Casey, he really wasn't that good at being friends, and she was his sister so he wasn't sure that counted.
