Secret channels have started up even in America to smuggle out those who wish to partake in the phenomenal event and both legal and illegal bettings are through the roof. Who will make the finals? Who will ultimately take home the world cup? Who will be lucky enough to watch the event live in Italy? We'll have to wait and find out!

May 2026: Summer seems to be creeping across the world ahead of time, no doubt in anticipation of school holidays, the Quidditch World Cup and board exams like the OWLs, NEWTs, SATs and so on. Anti British sentiment continues to grow in the US due to a recent incident involving a politician and a British National and once again, France is looked towards as a guiding light through these troubled times.

June 2026: The controversial new law subsiding magical children has just gone live in France. Policy experts claim that this will lead to a mass abuse of magical child reporting for the extreme tax deductions and supplement incomes while more shrewd minds believe there is no better way to keep track of every single magical child in the country than the measures passed within this legislation. As always, the Palace of Versailles has not made an opinion though rumour has it they are behind the funding of this bill.

November 2026: Fall is slowly giving way to the cold but the geopolitical climate is heating up. The latest series of sanctions on France from the United States have gone into affect and though France has yet to retaliate, pundits assume the worst. Canadian Prime Minister, Lucien Lamarck has made a bold statement condemning MACUSA leadership for their actions and is standing firm with France. Other countries are expected to rally behind the new capital of Europe as well. The American midterm elections are underway, leaving the country weak against attacks of all nature.

January 2027: It's only the beginning of the year and America has been dealt a fetal blow by France. All American exports to and from Europe have been halted with immediate affect, those already on the way now charting a course for Canada. Economists predict this to result in the biggest blow to the US economy since the great depression. The united attacks on the trade front suggests that it is a coordinated effort by multiple European nations, countries that conveniently fall under the leadership of House Clement.
