Paris, The City of Love (Jari)

After leaving St. Tropez with a sweet farewell from the Caldwells, Mari, Jake and Jagger floo'd to a penthouse apartment in Central Paris, France, with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Towerin the sixteenth Arondissiments, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of Paris. Jake had surprised her with the flat, with everything realy, Paris had been his idea, something of a sweet surprise. Upon seeing the flat they arrived in she'd wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him deeply before taking him by the hand and exploring the flat.

When her eyes had fallen on the huge tub on the roof beside a bed, 'so they could watch the stars' she'd sent Jagger downstairs whilst their suitcases unpacked themselves and all but pulled Jake into the jacuzzi, enjoying champagne summoned from the stocked kitchen, toasting in the bubbly water, enjoying the view of each other and of Paris, Jake snapping a picture of Mari and vice versa, new phone backgrounds to smile at. People say if you want to know what people love you should watch what they photograph. Each person had huge folders full of pictures of the other throughout the months, and especially in Paris they were careful to take snapshots of one another. Eager to preserve and enjoy their happiness.

"I love you, this is perfect," Mari smiled as she came out of the bathroom after getting ready that afternoon, "You're perfect." She quipped, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him again, "Where are we going?"

The idea to visit Paris before they went home was an idea Jake though would be some fun. There was a lot to do in the city, which meant they could make some really good memories here, as well as exploring the European city. A little research on the internet had brought up a list of suggestion of what they could do, and Jake had picked out a few things they could do that sounded fun.

But the most important thing had been to find a place to stay that was both luxurious and gave them some of the best views of the city. It had been hard, but in the end, Jake had found a very nice apartment that was happy for them to bring Jagger, and it had some of the best views the city had to offer. Which Jake showed Marilyn the instant they got there, pointing out how they could see the Eiffel Tower from their room, and how the rooftop offered a very nice view of the stars for the evenings.

Not to mention the Jacuzzi that lay before them.

Marilyn hadn't wasted time pulling him in to the tub, and Jake hadn't complained sinking in to the pulling water with his girlfriend and enjoying a glass of wine as he sunk in to the water until it covered his shoulders. They'd spent a short while in the water, until Jagger made his way back with their towels. Jake had helped Marilyn from the tub and they'd agreed to start exploring the city together.

As Jake finished pulling his shirt in to place, Marilyn had finished in the bathroom, and she moved straight to him, telling him that this was perfect, that he was perfect. Jake simply shook his head at that notion, because he neither wanted to be, nor believed he was in any manner perfect. "I love you too." He settled on, before her question came, and he smiled warmly.

"Well.. to start with, I thought we could just walk around, have a look what's around, until half past four, then I have booked for us to go up the Eiffel Tower and we will be dining in the restaurant up there called 'Le Jules Verne'." Jake explained, trying to get the French pronunciation but really getting it wrong. "If that is okay with the beautiful lady?" Jake asked, teasing slightly, but genuinely hoping that she would be happy with his idea.

"Well.. to start with, I thought we could just walk around, have a look what's around, until half past four, then I have booked for us to go up the Eiffel Tower and we will be dining in the restaurant up there called 'Le Jules Verne'."

Mari grinned, kissing him again, "Yes, that's brilliant, I love it, I love you." The witch smiled, taking his hand and chuckling, "But please don't speak French here, the Parisans are not very forgiving," She quipped in good nature, kissing his cheek.

As they walked around, taking pictures, it became evident that for Mari Paris was The City. It fit her like nothing else, and she looked like she belonged in it. Her long tan legs drawing stares, accentuated in sleek black pumps and and a black hat adding an air of mystery, people staring at this mysterious woman and her strikingly handsome boyfriend. A man who, in a city of beauty, stole all of her attention as she was blind to the looks she was getting in her little black dress, just happily leaning into him, taking a selfie of them both (something inimaginable for Mari a year ago).

When it was finally time for them to head to the Eiffel Tower Mari was positively glowing with contentment, comfortable as anything, hand in hand with her boyfriend as they rode up the elevator that took a good four minutes, that were put to good use, thank Merlin for makeup preservation spells.

As Marilyn told him that she loved both his idea and him, Jake smiled and held her close for a short kiss. But as she told him not to speak French, Jake shrugged. "It's the name of the restaurant." He explained, but he knew not to try to speak any other language but his own, his accents were, well, awful to be perfectly honest, so he would simply not try to do them. Which would also appease Marilyn, so it was a win on everyone's behalf.

The city was very beautiful, though in honesty Jake was more interested in Marilyn than the city, watching the way her smile widened as they entered parts of the city, and the way she basically fell in to the whole situation with such ease it was unbelievable.

They only walked, looking for places to come back to at another time before they made their way to the biggest tourist attraction in the city. After explaining who they were, they'd been ushered in to the lift - thankfully alone - and the ascent to the top of the tower. Jake had gently led Marilyn out of the lift, looking thoroughly kissed, and the views had been... well, quite spectacular, really.

"Here we go, a beautiful view for the most beautiful woman in, not only Paris, but the world!" He told Marilyn softly, wrapping his arms around her from behind as his lips pressed a light kiss to her cheek. "What do you think?" He asked, looking out across the breath-taking view and waiting for her verdict.

"Here we go, a beautiful view for the most beautiful woman in, not only Paris, but the world!"

After emerging with her hair somewhat more mussed than usual, hat thankfully covering it until she could brush it out, Mari's hands covered his as he held her from behind and she took in the view, lips parted softly as she took it in with a grin.

"I think...this is the best surprise from the best boyfriend...Thank you," She turned in his arms so he was still holding her close and kissed him slowly and sweetly, "I love you." The woman whispered against his lips, looking at a him with eyes full of adoration. So engulfed was she that she didn't notice the 'snap!' of a camera shutter clicking. Tomorrow a headline would appear with the picture of the two lovers large on the front page, the tagline reading 'Lovebirds in Paris'. She'd just cut it out and add it to the album of pictures of them.

Soon they were being guided into the beautiful restaurant and seated by a kind waiter who gave them their menus.

As they stood taking in the view, Jake smiled to himself, the view was exquisite, the website hadn't lied, and he took the moment to take the whole scene in. Picking out landmarks and trying to pick anything out - though in honesty he didn't know much about France. Jake's attention was taken as Marilyn turned back around in his arm, pressing a light kiss to her lips as she said something about being the best boyfriend.

And the soft sound of 'I love you' left Marilyn's lips once more.

It truly was the city of love, and Jake simply smiled at the witch, pressing a light kiss to her lips once more before turning back to the view. They enjoyed it together for a short while longer, pointing out things to one another until it was time to head down to the restaurant.

They were seated soon after, a menu in hand. Jake had scanned and picked something quite quickly and after laying his menu down, he looked towards Marilyn with a small smile. "Now, I have a confession..." He started, rubbing the back of his head slightly to avoid feeling so nervous. "I haven't planned anything else for the next couple of days, because I didn't know what you might want to do, so for the rest of the trip, we get to choose together."

It was, perhaps a little bit of a cop out on Jake's behalf, but he didn't want to do things he thought Marilyn might like and be wrong.

"I haven't planned anything else for the next couple of days, because I didn't know what you might want to do, so for the rest of the trip, we get to choose together."

Mari smiled, after mildly and internally panicing when he'd said he had a confession, and put her menu down as well. Her right hand reached over to take his left gently and brought it to her lips, kissing his knuckles. "Jake, that's fine, we can relax and just decide day by day. We should definitly picnic in the Rodin Gardens, I hear they're beautiful this time of year," She then proceeded, not letting go of his hand, to tell him about them and the bits of history she knew. They ordered in between talking and just enjoyed the company and beautiful atmosphere.

"Is there anything in particular you want to do or see?"

The tenderness of the moment in which he told her he didn't know what to do was without a doubt reassuring for Jake as he smiled brighter with each kiss to his knuckles. The idea of going to the Rodin Gardens was one that Jake agreed to quite happily, despite not really having any interest in art, a picnic with Marilyn would definitely be more than enough for him.

The young man listened as she explained what it was all about, nodding in the right places and asking questions where he saw fit. But mostly, he was watching the excitement on Marilyn's face as she explained, the concentration when she thought of the best way to answer his questions, and the smile when he agreed that he would like to do that too.

The question as to what he wanted to see and do was one that simply made Jake smiled, running his thumb gently across the back of her hand. "The only thing I want to see all of our stay is your smile." Jake told her softly, and he meant it, to see Marilyn smile was all he'd aimed for this holiday, and already that was working very well. "Anything else is a bonus."

"The only thing I want to see all of our stay is your smile."

His words had Marilyn beaming, cheeks hot and pink and her eyes briefly averted from the intense rush of love she felt. Merlin, he was unbelievable. Too good to be true, too good to be hers. But he was. And it was the best feeling in the world.

"I love you," She replied, the words earnest, simple and calm. Because of Jake Marilyn knew that before him, she'd never been in love. Loving someone was easy, came naturally, when it was real. This was real and one could hear it in her voice, a smile curving her lips before she leaned forward to kiss him.

This, was what forever felt like, exactly this moment, she thought as she pulled back with a smile. The rest of the dinner went on similarily, the evening ending with them walking hand in hand back to the flat, laughing and kissing, barely making it to the bedroom (hallway walls just look so much better with someone pinned against them, they said) and spending the night slowly showing each other how deeply their love ran.

The notion of love left Marilyn's lips once ore, and a smile came to Jake's lips as he leant in to kiss her gently on the lips in return. A soft 'I love you, too' left his lips as they parted from the kiss. Jake might not say it as frequently as Marilyn, but he made up for that by showing her in many different ways that he did.

The rest of the dinner was enjoyable, and the casual walk home was full of fun, kissing, laughing and playing all the way home. As if they were teenager, drunk on love with no eyes for anyone but themselves. So naturally, they were oblivious to the paparazzi following them, but then Jake never hid, he just didn't pay attention to it.

As they moved back in to the apartment, the space between them ceased to exist, and from the hallway, to the bedroom, there was no telling where either one of them finished and the other began. All Jake knew was that if this was the very last way of knowing Marilyn meant her words, he would be very, very confident in saying that she didn't lie about her feelings.

As they woke the next morning, or rather, Jake woke, he was blessed with a sight that never, ever got old to him. The peaceful expression on Marilyn's face as she slept was always one he treasured, and this morning would be no different. His lips moved to her forehead, gently placing a kiss on her head as he ran his fingers through her hair. The sheets were tangled around them, Jagger lying at the end of the bed as always. Their little family, in a manner.

"Time to get up, beautiful." Jake whispered, pressing a light kiss to her lips. "Lots to do today..." He continued, kissing her cheek. "We can go shopping too... if you get up." He continued, trying to lure her from sleep with a very knowing smile on his lips.
