To Consider It a Date (Victoria) Empty
PostSubject: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptySun Sep 27, 2015 7:18 pm

Zander met Victoria at the start of term back and September and since then, she had quickly become his best friend. It wasn't hard for her to claim that position, as she was kind and he had no friends. He spent every moment he had with her, well the ones that he wasn't working or in class or sleeping.

However, as they talked and grew closer, Zander's feelings changed and developed and he began to realise that he liked her. However, he was afraid of ruining their friendship, so he didn't tell her. The boy had only had one other girlfriend and that was when he was twelve so it couldn't be counted even if he did peck the girl on her lips.

However, today was a milestone in his life as he had asked Victoria to go get ice cream with him. It wasn't exactly a date if she didn't want it to be but if she did, then it was. He though and thought of how to tell her that he liked her, but he could think of nothing. Still thinking, he walked to Victoria's dorm to pick her up. He wasn't someone who would ever make her walk herself. As he door opened, he smiled and gave her a slight bow.

To Consider It a Date (Victoria) Empty
PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptySun Sep 27, 2015 7:29 pm

Victoria had been utterly grateful for Zander's kind gesture of letting her stay in his apartment the night she'd locked herself out. True to her word, she'd excused herself from his apartment as soon as she could (which happened to be after he made her breakfast) to get her key. Since then, however, Victoria had made sure that she repaid the kindness she'd been shown.

A cake had been the best she could cook in thanks for his kindness. And it was, perhaps, a little pinker than Zander might have liked, but it got the message across that she was thankful.

From there, Victoria had spent a lot of time with Zander, because the more time they spent together, the more she realised just how nice he really was. And interesting. Their mutual love of books meant they had plenty to talk about, and Victoria was so happy to find someone who genuinely understood her passion for reading.

They were, Victoria was sure, close friends now, perhaps even best friends. Zander made her feel safe, and comfortable, and she simply couldn't ask for more of someone. When Zander had asked her to go out for ice cream, Victoria had agreed without a second thought. Whilst it might be colder now, it would be nice to catch up with her best friend as she'd been very busy with her studying and really needed a break.

Checking her hair once more in the window, Victoria smiled to herself, turning to pull a jacket on to keep herself warm. It was only a second later that a knock came at her door, and Victoria's smile grew in an instant. Hurrying towards the door (which the ever trusting witch left unlocked for her friends to come in whenever they needed to) Victoria took in Zander and smiled a little wider.

Until he bowed, then Victoria couldn't help but giggle a little. "You don't need to bow! I'm not the Queen of England!" Victoria told her friend with a grin, picking up her scarf from the table and wrapping it around her neck before picking up her gloves. She was wrapped up warm, there was no doubt about that.

"I'm ready now!" Victoria finished, giving Zander a smile. "Let's go try some unusual ice cream, shall we?"

To Consider It a Date (Victoria) Empty
PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptyMon Sep 28, 2015 4:39 pm

The first time Zander and Victoria had met was under not so great circumstances which resulted in Victoria staying the night with Zander. She had promised she'd be gone in the morning, but Zander had made her stick around as he woke up early to make her a rather large breakfast. She had promised him that she'd repay him for his kindness and he insisted she didn't but days later, she turned up with a highly pink cake and couldn't be more thankful. It was the best cake he'd ever tasted.

This morning, Zander had been extra careful to get ready. Typically he dressed fashionable however today, he'd shaved, pulled on a black button up, dark jeans and a winter coat and sprayed on some stuff to make him smell good. Since the night they'd met and he learned that she'd never had a boyfriend, he found himself constantly trying to impress her, even without knowing.

"You may not be the Queen of England but you're the Queen of someone's world," the boy smiled, "and for that you deserve respect." He took her hand in his and planted a tiny kiss on top. It was weird, the way he'd been acting but he sort of like it just like he liked Victoria. She was a pretty girl, one that he wanted to do his absolute best to protect. He hadn't been able to do the same for his parents, but he would for her.

He watched as she layered on more clothing, making sure to stay warm and he found himself a bit saddened as he didn't have any excuse to hug her or give her his coat.

As the girl told him she was ready, he wrapped his arms around her in a quick hug before pulling away and offering her his elbow. "We shall."

PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptyMon Sep 28, 2015 5:38 pm

The compliment had Victoria blushing as her smile grew. Compliments - no matter how small - always brought a blush to her cheeks, simply because of the sweetness of the gesture was so touching, Victoria didn't know how anyone could take them without blushing. "Oh, shush, I'm sure that's not true!" Victoria insisted, watching as he pressed his lips to her knuckles and feeling her heart flutter a little and the sweetness of her best friend.

Accepting the hug gratefully, Victoria took hold of Zander's arm that was offered and followed him out of the apartment, making sure to keep hold of her key until they were out of the apartment and then pocketing it. "Got it safely!" Victoria announced, something of a running joke now.

"Would you like to do the honours?" The witch asked in respect of apparating to Diagon Alley. As easy as it would be for her to do it, Victoria preferred concentrating on holding on to the other person when she side apparated as it made it easier for her to control the nausea that she succumbed to with magical transport.

He enjoyed constantly causing the blush to rise over her face. In fact, it was often the best parts of his day because it usually happened when he complimented her and she definitely deserved all the compliments. "Well I don't exactly know your brother," his eyes locked on hers, "but I can assure you that he sees you like a Queen. He'd be lost without you." The boy smiled, his hand letting hers go gently.

He was glad that she didn't pull out of his hug but most of all, he was glad that she actually took his arm and didn't leave him hanging. His heart fluttered a bit and he smiled as he escorted her out of her room. When she showed him that she still had a hold of her key after closing the door, he laughed a bit, glad he wouldn't have to coax her into staying on his couch again. The first time had been hard enough.

"I certainly would," he replied making sure she had a good enough grip on him. From the few months he'd known her, he came to respect her dislike for apparating alone. He understood the way she felt and understood why side-along apparition was her better choice. "Ready," he told her, letting her know to tighten her grip. With a nod, they disapparated to Diagon Alley.

"You okay?" he asked, looking to his best friend as he steadied himself.

To Consider It a Date (Victoria) Empty
PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptyWed Sep 30, 2015 7:05 pm

The idea of Jake thinking of her as a Queen made Victoria concede the point in that moment, after all, there was no point in arguing over such things. Jake loved her deeply, and she loved him in the same manner, there was nothing to be denied in that respect.

As they readied themselves for the transport, Victoria held on to Zander's arm just a little tighter to make sure they wouldn't be separated in that moment, closing her eyes and waiting for the pull from behind her navel. Nodding when the man beside her asked if she was ready, Victoria waited for only a brief couple of moments before her feet touched back on to the ground.

"You okay?"

Pausing for a moment, and taking a deep breath, Victoria collected herself. Opening her eyes, looking up to the man beside her, Victoria smiled warmly. "I am now, thank you!" Victoria replied, glad that Zander had always been so understanding about how she wasn't great with magical travel. After a moment, Victoria pulled him gently towards the ice cream shop, not wanting to wait around for too long.

"So, have you decided what kind of ice cream you will be having?" Victoria asked Zander curiously, so far she wasn't sure what his favourite was, but she was sure she would know one day. "Though, I mustn't eat too much, I have dance practice this evening with the girls!" Victoria reminded both him and herself, it wouldn't do to dance on a full stomach, after all.

Zander was glad when Victoria didn't argue with him, however from the past few months of knowing her he had come to also know that she was not one to argue and secretly he was thankful. At one point he feared relationships and girls period because of how people portrayed them; as handfuls. However, Victoria was not like any other girl and because of this, he wished he could have met her in Hogwarts. She probably knew who he was especially with him holding Head Boy and Prefect, but she was a year younger so he never met her, merely saw her around.

Apparition was one thing he excelled at, it seemed to come natural to him. The boy had passed his test with flying colours and he never once splinched, nor did he want to. Hearing that Victoria was feeling better, he smiled. She was quite adorable to him. As he felt her gently pull him, he began to walk allowing her to lead him to Florean's.

"No, but maybe I'll just have them give me something random," he shrugged, looking down to her. "What about you?" He nodded when she reminded him of her dance practice and why she should not eat too much. He had become familiar with her activities and classes, he knew which day of the week at what time she had dance and he knew when she'd be studying or when she'd be in class. He worried that maybe he had tabs on her too often but then he justified it by knowing where she'd be if he needed him or if she needed him or even if something were to happen.

"What do you think of me?" The question from him came out of nowhere.

To Consider It a Date (Victoria) Empty
PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptyThu Oct 01, 2015 6:25 pm

"Oh, a random selection sounds awesome!" Victoria agreed with the man beside her. "Or, perhaps I could pick something for you?" Victoria suggested, though she didn't have a clue what she would pick for him, but she'd put a lot of thought in to it if he agreed.

"As for me..." Victoria paused, thinking for a moment. "I think I'll have the hazlenut chocolate ice cream, that one is very nice!" The witch decided with a warm smile, turning in to the shop which was, despite the cold, still relatively busy.

"What do you think of me?"

The question threw the witch off guard in that moment. It was, simply put, a strange question, and Victoria did not know how she was supposed to deal with it. As usual when Victoria was thinking, a small crease formed in her forehead, concentration and perhaps confusion quite clear in that moment. "What do you mean, Zander?" Victoria asked, looking to the man curiously.

"You're a nice person, who so happens to be my best friend..." She added, not waiting for an answer to her own question. "You've helped me a lot in the start of university, and I will forever be in your debt for that. Has someone told you something not very nice?" Victoria asked, worrying that her friend might be being bullied, and that she'd have to somehow intervene to make sure it didn't continue.

He was glad that she agreed with him about a random selection being awesome. In all truth and honesty, he'd never really been to Florean's so he didn't know what he'd like. "If you wouldn't mind that'd actually be better." He smiled, accepting the girl's offer for her maybe picking something for him.

He looked down to her as she decided on what she would get. "That sounds great," he smiled, debating what the flavour would taste like. Turning into the shop, he took in the sights, smells and the amount of people that was there. It was shocking, especially since it was already November.

For a moment, anxiety hit him and he debated asking her if she would mind going somewhere else, but he decided against it and put a smile on his face instead.

As his question hit her and her facial expression turned into one of concentration, he bit his lip as the anxiety rose up in him. What did he mean? He tried to think of an answer for her and failed. He didn't want to tell her he liked her, he wanted to subtly hint at it, but he didn't know how and now he had confused her. Confusion was the last feeling that Zander had ever expected to give Victoria.

However, she spoke anyways and when she did, he smiled. "No, no one has said anything of the sort," he explained, giving her a reassuring smile. "I guess I just kind of wanted to know where I stood with you," he said, his voice shaking a bit as his cheeks threatened to redden.

PostSubject: Re: To Consider It a Date (Victoria)   To Consider It a Date (Victoria) EmptyFri Oct 02, 2015 7:42 pm

"Of course I don't mind!" Victoria replied happily, still trying to think of a really good flavour for her best friend to try out. There was so much variety, it would be nearly impossible to pick just one, but Victoria had time just yet.

Finding out no one had upset Zander didn't make it any easier for Victoria to understand what was going on. Looking up at the man curiously, the witch allowed him to explain what he was trying to ask. Still nothing really made sense, so Victoria pursed her lips for a moment in thought.

"Well, right now, you're stood in front of me!" Victoria teased, buying herself some time as she continued to think on his words. "But, you're my friend, Zander, you know that. Well, actually you're probably one of my best friends - I know you're supposed to have only one, or maybe even two, but I am close with so many people. But you're one of my closest best friends..."

The witch paused, looking up at him, really looking. "What are you trying to say, Zander, because you have gotten me stumped, and that really doesn't happen very often." Victoria continued, frustration (with herself) mounting as she couldn't work this puzzle out.
