| Danny had decided to go and get a butter beer he was feeling like he didn't belong any where again yet another bout of depression. Seriously when was he going to get over this? He didn't know it could be with him for the rest of his life for all he knew. He hated feeling like no one knew him that no one care that no one took the time to get to know him. True he had his family and that should be enough but it wasn't. Sighing he went and found a table with his drink apart from everyone he really wasn't feeling social he just wanted to be by himself. It was one of the reasons he left his family's house to come here though now that he thought of it wasn't a good idea as he felt more alone then he did while he was in the same walls as his family.
Staring out the window he began to think some rather dark thoughts, thoughts that he hadn't thought of well really thought of since he was fifteen. Shaking his head he couldn't go down that path again. Danny told himself that he would never go down that dark lonely path ever again he needed to get out of his head. He needed to find a distraction.

| Hogsmeade had been something of a whim for Finley - after finishing school he'd gone to the Ministry in the first week of the holidays to get his Apparition licence. It had been a good slog for the first couple of weeks of the holidays (with many a near miss of getting splinched) before he'd managed to obtain the licence. Proud of himself (his parents didn't care for magic, and paid no interest to Finley's capabilities in a world they refused to acknowledge), Finley had been going out on his own throughout the holidays just to get away.
His mind drifted to Sumire as he walked past Honeydukes. His friend could likely do with a pick me up, but Finley wasn't sure if she wanted him around too much. So, instead, Finley took a walk through the village and out towards the Hogs Head. it wasn't his usual choice of bar, but he decided he might as well try something new.
As the Ravenclaw moved in to the bar, he got a few odd looks as he ordered a drink and then looked around. Noticing a boy roughly his age, Finley moved over to that table. "H-hey!" The newly appointed Head Boy greeted the other male, before recognising the face from his common room. "Daniel, w-wasn't it?" Finley asked, before motioning to the seat opposite. "D-do you mind?" He asked, waiting for permission to join the other boy. |

| Danny was brought back to the reality when he heard someone who seemed to be speaking his name. He didn't think anyone would remember it so it came as a shock to him why this boy would even take time to remember it. Studying the boy a little closer he realized that it was housemate of his though he rarely spoke to him or anyone in his house as he just preferred to keep to himself. He was still unsure why as to why he would want to join him. However he could use the company if it was just for a distraction. "Yeah, though I prefer Danny and suit yourself." He said mustering a small smile. He thought he could at least try and be friendly.
Taking a sip from his butter beer he waited for the other to take a seat to see what conversation would occur. Danny took a deep breath and tried to think of something to say but his fear of being rejected took over and he said nothing. He couldn't think straight he didn't want to seem like he was rude he just didn't know what to say. Why was this happening now? He knew he never was a social butterfly yet usually could think of something to say.
Leaning against the back of his chair trying to focus on the man in front of him though his thoughts kept drifting to what he was thinking earlier. 'He wasn't good enough, he was a failure, no one would want him' These thoughts continued to run through his head making it hard to focus on anything else or anyone else though he would try and be good company if the other wanted to talk. |

| Finley took in the response from the boy with a nod. "S-sorry." The Ravenclaw replied softly in respect of getting the name slightly wrong. He would remember, though, because Finley was very good at remembering things. Taking the seat that the other boy had offered, Finley placed down his tankard carefully and took the seat, settling himself and taking in the pub for a moment.
It was... much different to The Three Broomsticks, but Finley thought it was also kind of quirky, in a good way. However, his eyes landed on the wrong person, who made a rather rude gesture, so Finley turned his attention back to the boy he was sat with.
No conversation came from the other boy, which, normally, would not have bothered Finley. However, today seemed to be a day for new experiences.
"I'm F-Finley, by the way." The newly appointed Head Boy explained, giving the other boy a small, friendly smile. Many men might have shook hands, but Finley was adverse to touching. "W-what brings you here?" He added, really doing his best to make conversation, which was definitely not something he was good at at all. |
