Piercings: None
Likes: (3 minimum)
-Really likes magical creatures, he grew up working with the ones his family keeps and occasionally went with his dad when they tried to obtain some rare creature. Usually they only traded what was already caught, but sometimes his dad would go himself to help and wanted Taylor to learn what he could about them.
-Quidditch and flying in general. Whenever he had free time he was either reading about different things or flying somewhere on his broom. Helped to keep him in shape and he just loves it.
-In addition to flying he also likes going for runs and lifting free weights to stay in shape. Exercising regularly helps keep him in a good mood as well as the added benefit of making him look good.
-Girls, while I don't consider Taylor a player really he has dated some and can't stop himself from looking if there's a pretty girl around.
- Books, he loves reading either about magical creatures, charms, defense against the dark arts or really anything else. The more knowledge he has the more he can put that to use to get ahead in classes and in life. Rarely reads purely for fun but when he does he enjoys muggle science fiction and fantasy the most.
- Power. He likes knowing that he has a way to manipulate somebody or put them in their place if need be. While he doesn't bully people for no reason he hates when people are better than he is and works hard to make sure that list is as small as possible.
Dislikes: (3 minimum)
-Really loathes people who let themselves get bullied or taken advantage of without fighting back. Feels like they should grow up and fight back or find a way of making them get caught so it won't happen again.
-People who mistreat animals, or are afraid of them for no reason other than they look scary. He grew up taking care of all sorts of beasts and feels rather protective of them.
-The pureblood tendency to ignore or hate everything muggle. While he doesn't think muggles are better his family has always used their inventions when they are useful or practical, such as using electricity and cell phones to communicate when not in places like Hogwarts where it can't work. Thinks it is kind of silly that people wouldn't take advantage of perfectly good and useful items just because a muggle made them.
-Being reminded that he's still technically a kid and not in charge of his own life.
-Divination. While he recognizes that some people have a gift of prophecy that occasionally happens think it's silly to have a class on it when it can't really be taught. Also thinks that a lot of prophecies are rather pointless as you either can't change anything or won't even know what it's about until after.
Strengths: (3 minimum)
-In good physical shape and is a rather good chaser and flier on his broom.
-He's a very driven person, and is willing to put in the time and effort to get what he wants.
-Really good at care of magical creatures because of what his father taught him and all the time he puts in with their animals. Also rather good at charms and herbology.
-Is good at figuring out what makes a person tick and how to get under their skin.
-Confidence. Quite frankly he knows that he's a lot better at some things than others and isn't shy about showing off his skills from time to time.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
-Arrogance. While he is fully justified in his confidence in some areas sometimes he does underestimate others and that can get him in sticky situations.
-His self-reliance. Really hates asking for help as he wants to do it on his own if possible.
-Not exactly the best at keeping or making friends.
Positive traits: (3 minimum)
-Independent
-Smart
-Hard working
-Cunning
-Resourceful
Negative traits: (3 minimum)
-Again, his arrogance
-Lone wolf
-Can tend to make enemies unintentionally because of his attitude
Taylor grew up in a family where you had to work hard. If you didn't do your chores you didn't eat, and you were expected to perform well in whatever you liked doing. Most of his chores involved helping take care of the magical creatures they owned, and he actually rather enjoyed most of the tasks. His father showed him how to properly take care of them and his mother would treat any injuries that happened while he was still learning what to do. It wasn't so bad growing up there, and he applied himself in studying about both magical things so he would be ready for Hogwarts. Their family actually sent both him and his sister to muggle schooling before Hogwarts so they could have a fair view of what they were like as well.
When he was nine he was given his first broom and absolutely loved it. Taylor took to flying whenever he had the chance and started working out so that he'd be able to control it better. His dad showed him the basics of quidditch, even though he wasn't that good of a player himself, and he knew he would go out for the school team when he got to Hogwarts. Sabrina would play with him sometimes even though she didn't enjoy it as much as he did. She was a few years older than him though so didn't always have the time to do so.
Upon going to Hogwarts Taylor found he fit right in among the Slytherins, even though some of the annoying purebloods who didn't like muggles grated him the wrong way. He really didn't understand the prejudice towards muggleborns or halfbloods that some of them held, to be perfectly honest. Because he kept busy with his school work and the quidditch team once he made Chaser, Taylor never really made a lot of friends. It wasn't for lack of trying, but he was perfectly happy doing things on his own and didn't really feel the need to find a group to hang out with like so many other students.
Wants to work in the family business of finding rare magical creatures and selling them when he comes of age. Also is thinking about trying to play Quidditch professionally but knows the chances of that are slim and that it wouldn't be a permanent career. Eventually he knows he'll be expected to get married, but thankfully they don't pressure on him on who he might get married to or what kind of girl it is.

The Wilkes family originally wasn't one of the noble houses. They had been pureblood, but only because they felt muggles or halfbloods never fully understood the magical community and wanted to marry people who understood them. More than anything the Wilkes family had always been eager to take advantage of opportunities to get ahead, whether it be in business or social standing. Though they started out as a middle class family by most standards about two hundred years ago Charles Wilkes began trading in the useful items of rare magical creatures. Some could be used for wands or potions, others simply by researchers, but slowly over time he became one of the top people in Britain if you wanted something that was more difficult to come by than your usual thing. However, they were still looked down on by the ancient and noble houses of magical society, and that irked him to no end.
Finally, towards the end of his life Charles was able to arrange a marriage for one of his granddaughters into the Hughes family on the condition that one of their children would carry the Wilkes name and that they would be granted status as a noble house. In return Charles paid a hefty dowry and a small inclusion into his business so long as they made sound business decisions. It turned out rather well, and the Wilkes family still remained in charge of the business though almost always had a Hughes included in the decisions. Currently the Hughes had sold off their share in the business, so currently Taylor's father Gregory is in full control.
However, even though they valued magical traditions over time the Wilkes family started to realize that intermarrying with only magical people could cause serious problems. They allowed their children to marry whoever they wished, and though the people they married were still usual magical so they could understand what they dealt with, there were quite a few muggleborns and halfbloods mixed into their line over the years. It caused them to lose some respect, but unlike some of the pureblood families they'd seen decline over the years they continued to prosper so didn't really care.
Their family crest may seem rather cynical but is viewed as realistic by them. Charles thought of it, and it was simply choose power or love, you can't have both. While he cared about his family and did have feelings of love for both his wife and kids he had always put power first in what he did. He knew that he didn't love them like some people cared about their significant others and families, but he provided for them and made a family legacy that would last. Making this his family crest gave him a way to impart what he'd learned in his life, that you can either go after power or love. If you chase both you'll end up losing one or the other. It's not so much that he has a thing against romantics or wanted to discourage his children or grandchildren from finding love, just that he wanted them to be aware that once you are set on one path it is hard to change.
His father married his mother a few years after Hogwarts, they started dating in his seventh year and her fifth. Jennifer rather hopes that Taylor will find somebody of his own at Hogwarts but hasn't pressured either him or Sabrina to find somebody and settle down yet.
