Background

At the young age of 18 months, Layla began singing as opposed to talking and her parents were quite impressed. AT the age of 4, she got her first guitar and also started playing around on the family piano and by the age of 7, she was writing her own lyrics and music. She was born to an ordinary Muggle family, no siblings, no pets, just riches. When the Taylors realised their daughter was musically talented, they began to flaunt her in talent shows and on television, causing Layla to loathe them, which led to them no longer continuing to support her when she struck well on a record deal.

By the age of 10, Layla was a popstar in her country, not really known elsewhere, which she didn't care about. That year, her parents had grounded her from her instruments because she'd failed a grade and she became so angry, that she blew up the seasoning shakers on the table. They were horrified and locked her in her room until her letter to Hogwarts came. Excited for her to be sent far away to this school, they forced her to buy her supplies and carted her off to London, hoping this school would change her.

Family Background

The Taylors are a rich family that has only grown richer with the success of their daughter Layla. Maci and Nathan met back in secondary school and hit it off well, dating off and on until graduation. When graduation hit, Nathan decided to propose to Maci, and the two got married 3 days later.

When they found out they were expecting, they weren't happy. They didn't really want a kid right now as they felt it'd cause them to go bankrupt, despite the millions of dollars they had inherited. However, a very reluctant Maci went through with the pregnancy and birthed a very happy and healthy baby girl.

"He's too old," her mother's voice rang out through her mind as the three of them sat around their tiny dinner table in her home of Melbourne, Australia. However Layla didn't listen, instead she bragged about how much she loved Ethan and how good he was to her. She even went so far as to say that she had kissed him and that had sent her parents over the edge. They told her she was grounded, that she was forbade to continue on her summer tour and go back to Hogwarts but she was stubborn and disagreed. Thus far, this resulted in even more angst and arguments.

The night ended in tears as Layla decided she would run away. Her parents had never wanted her anyways, in fact they made sure she constantly knew so. The Taylor's were a wealthy Muggle family, one that once they found out they were expecting feared that the child would cause them to go bankrupt. Except that child brought them even more money to which caused them a bit of jealousy. As a child they'd grounded her from music, and when she took her first record deal they were furious. However now was the most furious she had ever seen them.

Layla stormed upstairs, her face red hot with tears and she packed her bags. She shoved as much of her clothes into her suitcase and without a trace, she slid down the gutter out of her window. She wouldn't go to Ethan's mostly because he was continents away, instead she went to her old friend's house in hopes they'd hide her until Hogwart's started back up. She wouldn't actually need them to hide her that long, in fact she only had another two days before her tour started and luckily, they gave it to her.

Layla went on her tour as planned and Ethan accepted the position as one of her security guards. The girl pretended as thought nothing happened and maybe nothing did happen. Layla's life would change whether she realised it or not. Her parents would disown her and she would never be able to return home again but all was well because she had Ethan and her music. Eventually however, Ethan would find out as Layla was horrible at hiding things and whether or not their lives and relationship would be fine, Layla did not know nor did she particularly care.
