| Veronika was proud to say that today she definitely had what she planned to teach to each of the years she was teaching. She went to bed early that night, being assured to not grievously worry herself about screwing up as bad as she had the first lesson. She had totally overestimated her abilities and now she had to stick to the guidelines she’d previously written out. She could do it, she was sure of it. So after a terse dinner alone in her room, accompanied with two hours of fervent reading about famous Transfigures, she stretched out and hurried back to her room. She was trying her darn hardest to avoid Jake Newbury, and so far so good.
After a positive eight hour sleep with a hearty breakfast of chocolate bagel and cream cheese and apple juice with some coffee in her room (thank you House Elf Yoopie), she dressed herself primly. She pulled on an elbow-length sleeved light blue button up with black and grey slacks paired with black one high boots over her pantyhouse she pulled her class robes on, grabbed her class notes and scurried over to her class.
Naturally she was there before her students, and so she clasped her hands on top of the desk and waited patiently for them to show. |

| Now, Dueling was a class that fell in to Jacques scope of likes. In Dueling, you could play any card you wanted to, so long as you won. Of course, sometimes there were rules. No killing you opponent, or disarm only. But Jacques had never been one for rules. So long as he came out on top, that was all he was interested in achieving.
Slipping through the flurry of people moving between classes with relative ease, Jacques was the first to enter the Dueling classroom, and he couldn't help but let out a soft sigh to himself. He didn't like being the first to class, it was not the image he wanted for himself. But, there was little and less he could do about that now he was here.
Barely looking towards the professor, Jacques took up a seat in the middle of the room, lazily pulling out a notebook and then looking out of the window to the grounds. ________________________________________________ | |

| Alberi walked quickly to class, not wanting to be late. His next lesson was Dueling. He was not at all exited about it. Though he surely knew everything from it, he didn't have much of the guts to fight. He wasn't such a person, nor was he so foolish. He liked that he could do what he wished, yes, but it just wasn't Alberi when it came to anything containing athletics. And fighting with someone, magic or not, was considered athletic.
Arriving at the class room door, he walked in and looked around. The professor and some student. He told the teacher a "Good morning," before going to the front and taking out his books, carefully putting them on the desk, making sure they are neatly in a colon. Afterwards he made sure that his shirt was still hiding his tie. Though he had used magnets to make sure that they won't fall off the places, he still wasn't sure if they would stay like that. Happy that they were in place, he waited for the rest of his class to come by, while we continued thinking of his plan on trying to move houses quietly. |

| Naomi dragged her feet on her way to Dueling, but she still got there relatively early. Only two other students were there, first year boys that she didn't know particularly well. She sat well away from them, at the end of the first row. Even if she didn't like the class, she could still learn more in the front.
And Naomi really didn't like dueling. The theory was fine. Even learning the spells themselves were fine. She didn't like turning her wand against other people, though, even in a staged and tightly controlled duel where very little could go wrong. It felt wrong and she'd much rather heal than harm.
Still, Naomi would learn as much as she could, as she did in every class. The knowledge would most likely come in handy, especially for her and Finley's project with the bow and arrows. Some of the spells from this class could do well attached to the arrows. |

| When Layla walked into the classroom, she was thankful to see a girl that she recognised from the year before. She had to admit, she was pretty nervous about this class. She wasn't good at fighting or dueling or whatever it was. She wasn't a fan of hurting people and being hurt in return, but it was a class on her timetable and she couldn't fail it. She had been reluctant to walk to the classroom and even more reluctant to walk into the classroom, but she trusted the Professor to keep her safe.
Nodding, she spoke a quick greeting to the professor before finding a seat, near the other students. Everyone seemed to be so patient with waiting, meaning she'd be patient as well. She crossed her arms over her desk and thought of home. The accent wasn't too bad here as she almost sounded English, except, it was still fairly noticeable that she was Australian. She thought of the hot days and the surf waves. She thought of the beaches and the deserts. She loved playing guitar and singing on the pier at nighttime when no one was around. She loved Australia, but with having been famous there, she could barely get piece in the public. |
